Hey fam!! My name/links might be different than what I said in the video and that's because after four amazing years of decoden cases & three years on RUclips, I've decided to pursue art in new ways 🥰 The description is updated to reflect the accurate accounts and links. Thanks for your support!
@@AlexaJuncajArt like my favorite case are still on your website haha! Also, it would be super fun to add those water resin pieces with your cases! Like the water bead shaker ones, just a thought!
Love this tutorial and your energy! I’m getting a new iPhone and I really want to decoden my own case for it. Also wondering if you have that link for the video that taught you, I can’t see it linked below in the description. Not that this vid doesn’t give me everything I need to know, I just like to watch a variety of tutorials when learning how to do something new!
Hey I would like ask something about the silicone. I mentioned that mixing something with white yields a lighter result, but what about mixing with clear? Would it result in the silicone being the same color as the paint? Asking just to be sure.
I'm sorry I just saw this!! I have definitely had that happen a couple of times and it's usually because of the environment I'm in. I've heard that silicone dries faster when it's hot and humid for some reason. One time, I had to make a laptop case, it kept hardening half way through. So, I left my windows open for a while (it was winter) and I started from scratch, it didn't harden as fast. It just happens sometimes unfortunately... You're probably doing everything right
I Love this video. Its so informative all while fun to watch. Can you do a video on how you make the anime charms, you have in this video...(the naruto cloud)? My grandson loves naruto and I would like to make him a case for it. Keep the videos coming. You are fun to watch. Thanks

I have several questions.. What kind of silicone do you use? I live outside the US, and the brand GE is quite expensive for my budget, and it only has a small size, and to the place where I live, there are lots of different types of silicones... Like silicone sealant acid, neutral... And I found there is also an acetic cure, biocide and neutral cure. Acetoxy, mold and neutral. There is silicone for glass. I also want to know how they dried up? What's the texture? I only know the clay based glue and not the silicone ones. Please enlighten me. Edit: oh... The silicone ones have glossy finish.
Hy! Love your video.. hope to see more.. can we just use normal transparent clear case cover silicone tpu? And how many days normally to wait it to dry properly?
Thank you! and clear cases are great but if they're the flexible ones like silicone or tpu the decoden won't stick for a long time! It might be fine for a few days but over time it will peel off so I just never use those ones anymore 🤷🏻♀️
I have been making them, but my silicone hasn’t been drying… I used less paint on it today and going to see if that was the issue. But can you give me some tips?
not sure if you'll see this but im curious how you clean your piping tips. Cleaning them is always a pain for me no matter what I do with them. Does tip size matter to make them easier to clean?
I have Micah powder with colour pigments in it…would that be a good alternative and avoid changing the drying time even more, or does that cause it’s own set of issue that you are aware of?
Hello! i've seen in your videos that you use some kinda mat under your case sometimes when you decoden (its circular) would you mind saying what its called and providing a link?
thank you for explaining everything thoroughly, making that amazon list of everything you need was amazing too, I had no idea where to start. you are so great!!
Video idea! Use different materials for your next phone case! Aka different case, piping tip, colors! I think it would be really cool to see you go out of your comfort zone
Aliexpress or any site that you can buy wholesale cabochons is best.... buying from china, they sell the cheapest of everything you can think of because that's where everything is manufactured. Most etsy sellers buy from wholesalers in china and resell of course at highly marked up prices. I've seen this even with jewelry they claim is "handmade" but i've seen on aliexpress😂. But americans buy everything...they don't care if it is expensive or time is money. How do you package these items or other smaller items? What kind of mailer used and packaging material? Did you pay for someone to create a logo for you and did you have logo packaging made? Thank you for your tutorial.
Hi! Usually Amazon because they ship so fast. I've linked a ton on my storefront but they definitely are the most expensive supply. I also just like the ones I use because I know they're sturdy and durable. www.amazon.com/shop/decodendream
Have you ever thought of using croc charms for a case? How long do you have once you start the phone case to finish it before the silicone starts to dry?
No! But that's a good idea!! I've used small action figures, keychains, Christmas ornaments, Disney Doorables, Mini Brands, anything that fits really lol And shoot I forgot to say it in the video! They usually take 24 hours (wish) to dry. They may be dry to the touch after a few hours but I wouldn't trust them in the mail or anything yet until they've at least sat for one day because sometimes the inside of the puffs can still be wet :O
If you want a heavy duty sand paper you can also use a metal rasp. I also @ times use a small dermal tool with a standing drum. Other suggestion would be to use an ice pick instead of scissors, consider using a ruler instead of a paint bottle to push the silicone down to the tip. You're a great teacher but talk a little too fast my my old ears. I try to make notes as you're instructing but again a bit too fast. 🏃 🏃 🏃 Thanks so much I have bought a kit but have yet to crack it open. Last thing that I remembered was icing color, it is expensive but the colors are intense & you only need a drop. I used icing color for play dough when I made huge batch for my daughter's preschool class. But you are so right about glitter fine grain otherwise it looks like playground gravel. Thanks Again 👍 🙋 👍
you're so cool! I've been practically binge watching ur videos 😭im thinking of getting into decoden myself and u've really given me some great tips :DD and ur right! Naruto is actually named after the little white and red narutomaki that's often in ramen :3
omg I just saw this! Sorry! I usually push paper towels thru it until it's completely clean and the paper towel comes out dry🤷🏻♀️ it sucks and it's definitely the worst part of decoden😂

I would recommend doing a little pipe at the beginning just to get the star looking nice where all three colours are coming out.
Onto a napkin I mean just to get the stuff flowing out
This is super helpful. I'm just starting out and I keep wondering what phone case to use because mine is flexible but wouldn't stick as much.

to me it just gives off a jelly effect - like sort of translucent but it does take whatever color you mix it with!
Thank you! Kate Middleton looks just like you. 👸🏼
I'm following your directions to the tea but my silicone keeps setting as I'm piping and hardens what am I doing wrong???

Is it easy cleanup when reusing piping tips?
How do you store the leftovers so it doesn't dry out?

What about pearl colors? What about adding mica pigments
I've never tried it but it probably looks pretty cool!

not sure if you'll see this but im curious how you clean your piping tips. Cleaning them is always a pain for me no matter what I do with them. Does tip size matter to make them easier to clean?
Let it dry completely. Once it dries it will peel off very easily

Hey just saw this! I don't know anything about it but I've heard of other decoded artists using it!
Can you use high gloss acrylic paint in the silicone?
I haven't tried this but that'd be another fun video idea! I have some metallic paint I've been saving to try! (also sorry I saw this soooo late!)
Hello! i've seen in your videos that you use some kinda mat under your case sometimes when you decoden (its circular) would you mind saying what its called and providing a link?

Someone else said to never use acrylics for silicone and to use oil paint? Is this true?
yes!!! acrylic is water based and will seize the silicone, making it super hard to work with and cure in the bag. oil paints or mica pigments are best
