This version is definitely more beautiful. It’s not as emotional as teddies though. That one hits you in the feels. It’s just super raw and emotional. It’s a beautiful song.
'Stars' and 'For Your Babies' are my particular favourites amongst the many good songs they did. I live in NZ and have managed to see them twice in concert. Both times Mick was pitch perfect and totally on point. I know artists must get sick of singing a song over and over and want to change it up somewhat, but as the listener, when I finally get to see an artist live, I like/want to hear the song the way I know the song from the record. In this respect Simply Red does not disappoint.
I have a lot of his CDs and his style is very much his own and he has great music!! A lot of blues and soul and he changes but stj!l so fantastic. This one I believe was 1985 or around there His big one was also " Money". He just finished a tour. Sounds better then ever.
Feb 19th next year he's going to be singing this at the O2 in London, and I'll be there! Try 'Sunrise' for something a bit different. Or 'Money's Too Tight To Mention'. Can't even get an unemployment extension!
My man needs to react to the original. And he needs a rewind button. He talked over some of the most intense lyrics in the whole song twice. Other than that, good reaction. Good to see young folks appreciating this kind of music. It deserves to be remembered.
Please react to You Make Me Feel Brand New by Mick Hucknall and Simply Red. He’s older and his voice is amazing on that song. Try to watch the live version because all of his live versions are better than the recorded versions. Another side note is he’s worked with the great Quincy Jones on numerous occasions throughout the years.
This song is a cover but a extrodinary good one. His voice is absolutly soulful and a lot of people thought he would be a black person before they saw him.
Please react to 'Please Don't Tell Her' by Big Head Todd & the Monsters. They have a lot of hits but try this first. Then. try "Broken Hearted Savior'.
Please check out Supaman. Native hiphop / rap artist that includes indigenous style. AWESOME!!! Try “know good, do good” original stuff - like nobody else!!!
Dude. You interrupt at the worst times. Let it go. Wait til the end if you have something to say. We want to see your reaction, not your analysis. We've all heard the song. More than you. Just watch and listen. You don't have to perform.

The leader of Simply Red is named Mick Hucknall and he has one of the best voices I’ve ever heard. To this day he sound the same if not better !!!
He definitely does this song justice. An amazing cover.
It's not often I prefer the cover of a song, but this is one of the exceptions. Mick Hucknall's voice is just perfect for this one.
This is an excellent good cover of Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes original version with Teddy Pendergrass sang the lead...
This version is definitely more beautiful. It’s not as emotional as teddies though. That one hits you in the feels. It’s just super raw and emotional. It’s a beautiful song.
They had lots of hits one of the best voices to come out of uk
Your next Simply Red reaction should be “Money’s too tight to mention”. A different vibe!
Agree.

His verbratto is insane! He's blue eyed soul is right on
His live renditions are terrific - see "Stars" live in Hamburg 1992 - so great
Holding back the years, Stars and ifvyou don't know me by now❤❤
My favorite song he sings!👍♥️

Oh yes, do "Stars" - MH and SR with an orchestra in Russia. Fabulous audience involvement!
This song is a cover but a extrodinary good one. His voice is absolutly soulful and a lot of people thought he would be a black person before they saw him.
Add another one to the Simply Red list. "Would I Lie To You"
That song is from Charles & Eddie.
They had MANY hits, listen to Mirror
A nice cover version, but nobody can sing it like Teddy Pendergrass from Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes.
❤❤
Please listen to "Money too tight to mention" by Simply Red. A more upbeat sound
They didn't write the song, it's a cover of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes.
Sometimes you can be married 35 yrs and you thought you did....
Please react to 'Please Don't Tell Her' by Big Head Todd & the Monsters. They have a lot of hits but try this first. Then. try "Broken Hearted Savior'.
