I got the same guitar (same color as well) about a month ago. Changed the pickups to Fender Pure Vintage 65s (found a B-stock set for 150$), put 10s and had a setup on it, and now it's become my dream guitar!
These guitars are great for mods. I have the exact same guitar and colour. I switched the tuners to actual vintage style fender machine heads, put pure vintage 65 fender pickups, gutted all the electronics and put a fender switch, pots and input jack on it and it plays like a million bucks!. I have a Fender American standard and I probably play the Squire the most now. I would highly recommend these guitars not only for beginners but pros as well.
Hey man, nice video! I just bought the exact same guitar, I love it but the only thing I’m not happy with is the trem bridge; when i put the vivrator it’s like it doesn’t work :/ you tell us in your video that you did something at 1:30 what did you do exactly?? And how did you do it? Thanks
If you remove the rear cover you can adjust the 'claw' that holds the springs in place. This claw balances tension between the strings and springs either end of the bridge so you can set your bridge to 'float' the desired amount for a given set of strings / guitar tuning.
Did your strat came with the big tremolo block on the back? I saw some china production with one and i was wondering if the indonesia would be the same. Cheers mate
I think this guitar looks good but honestly, I have never liked the sound or feel of any Squire I have ever played. The wood for the body is not even alder it's Nyatoh wood, used for cabinets and some times cheap acoustic guitar necks... mostly because it's a soft wood. You are better off with a fender (with alder or ash body) strat American or Mexican made. That's what I buy, and I have been using them exclusively on stage for over forty years...I also swap out those stupid modern C necks for a soft V with a 9.5 radius and sometimes swap out the pups for 59 pure vintage, tex specials/ tex-mex or 54 vintage reissues. Then I Plug it into a decent fender amp i.e. Fender Bassman, Blues jr., or a fender blues DeVille 410 and you've got Killer sound. Just my 2 cents worth. Peace
Nice one and yeh you're dead right about the body wood! I'm a big fan of the '54 pure vintage strat set, though they are hard to come by these days. Also you can't go wrong with any of those Fender amps you list - I gigged a 4x10 Bassman for a while and it was excellent. Cheers
These classic vibes...regrettably play and sound as good as the original 50s/60's guitars...I know I own both...don't be fooled...Close your eyes and record with them...you WILL NOT know the differences...
Small point, tey are called "machine heads" NOT tuners! Tuners are the devices we use to reference the tuning of the guitar and indicate whether the string is sharp or flat. Apart from that, nice video!!
Power chords and blue scale repeated patterns over and over every video. There's more to guitar than the tiny pond your floundering around in and still haven't closed to mastered anyways. Forget all the gear and do some actual practice. Get some reh tapes from the 80s and learn to play some real guitar
Bruh, way to respond to a guitar review (not). It's about the guitar and what it's like, not about the playing (in review videos, at least). And if someone wants to spend money on gear, let them do what they want! He isn't being a snob or elitist of any sort.
@@jacebeleren1703 yeah your right. I was probably way too obsessed with guitar back then practicing all day every day and watching Shawn lane and joason Becker when not playing and feeling the gap when watching videos like this. I was projecting where I was at on someone else. It's too harsh and you are right looking back

Good choice!
Thanks for the video ! Can't decide this or jazzmaster from the CV series (had a Mexican deluxe too, btw)
cv jazzmasters are pain, i think you should look at cv50 strat or cv60 strat

Its 429 in GC
Just play around with tunes are familiar with
The deluxe have the noiseless pickups if I'm not mistaken. Ide say that's why you couldn't get on with them. They just dont sound "right".
Yeh that was part of it but I tried swapping to regular single coils as well before selling it; think it was multiple factors 🤷♂️
I see you tried to play Jimi Hendrix at 4:40 🙂

Hi Joao, the block is definitely smaller than US / MIM Strats I have owned and played.
@@PedalScience thanks bro!
4:40 sounds like jungle
Are the frets really narrow tall , they seem small?
They feel like narrow tall but I'm certainly not an expert on fretwire
People with American Standards just cried themselves to sleep 👍👍👍👍

They are also called tuning keys, or tuners for short. So there's that.
