I use a blunt knitting needle, works great! With softer fabrics (cottons) I fold the corner seams in and then using my thumb I turn out and it works like a charm. Learned this in garment making.
Glad to know, I’m not the only one stingy with my Cork. I save every scrap, and find that I eventually use it. Thank you for your video, excellent instructions
I use wooden chop sticks for my corners. I also have a wooden round semi pointed stick that came in some polyfill. I ordered this pattern (free) and now i can't wait to try it!
Thanks for sharing the free pattern. I had to get it. I use OESD point turner. It has a ball on each end. A large and a small. One of my favorite tools. The new ones have flat centers so it doesn’t roll off of the table. Love your tutorials! 🤗
I use the Ebony Wood Leather Ebony Burnisher Tool. It’s a blunt rounded edge that works great to get your corners out without damaging your fabric. I also love ottertex wpc. I use it for all my linings. I love the structure it gives to bags as well as being able to just wipe it out.
Super cute bag love your cork you always choose such pretty patterns. I agree you have to wrestle with Ottertex but i have noticed after using your bag it all softens up and is a lovely interior. I have also used ripstop and wow love that for linings. Thank you for another great video
I adore Ottertex 600 for lots of things, but on small projects it is indeed a BEAST. When I got the bag I bought from you recently and felt the 300 denier WPC, I fell in love. I will be ordering some.
Yes... I agree... Ottertex is great for certain things... but I love the indo wpc now too! www.indolovekreation.com/products/wpc-300d-solid-color?_pos=1&_sid=ff3f36064&_ss=r
I love the Ottertex. I prefer the stiffness of it so I don’t have to interface, but I also love how durable it is. I use it mainly for the exterior of men’s items such as pouches, wallets and bags.
What type of sewing machine do you use? It’s not only beautiful but seems to be a workhorse! Love your channel. This is my first video I’ve watched of yours! ☺️

😍 love it, another great tutorial! Quick question and maybe you have addressed this before, it appears from what I have watched you do not make cotton wallets/purses. Is it just because they don’t sell as well or just take longer for a tutorial? Or maybe I just not have seen them yet. The patterns that you do show us, do they come with directions for using cotton?
You're right I don't often use cotton anymore as it does require interfacing... Here is a recent video though! ruclips.net/video/Gy6IundGw0w/видео.html
We’ve gotten spoiled with so many varieties and options for linings being offered by such a high number of shops. Might take a bit, but there’s a little something for everyone now.
Hi.. I believe the cork is from fabric funhouse - fabricfunhouse.com/collections/cork-items/products/cork-fabric-bahama-blue I've had my fabricator for about 1.5 years... love it... use it almost every day
It was on Amazon. Similar to this Revolving Punch Plier Kit, XOOL Leather Hole Punch Set for Belts, Watch Bands, Straps, Dog Collars, Saddles, Shoes, Fabric, DIY Home or Craft Projects, Heavy Duty Rotary Puncher, Multi Hole Sizes Make a.co/d/bKPSrDT

Hi Barbie! I'm finally going to try this pattern 🤗
Wonderful!
This came out very pretty.

That cork fabric is gorgeous!! I found it on Sallie Tomato’s site and added to cart! 😊
Oh wow!
Love this. I downloaded the free add on also. Super cute! I still love the ottertex! Especially the pu solution black canvas. 😊
Perfect! thank you
I love the Ottertex. I prefer the stiffness of it so I don’t have to interface, but I also love how durable it is. I use it mainly for the exterior of men’s items such as pouches, wallets and bags.
Hi, yes it definitely has it's purposes! I still have a ton of it! :)
Oh I'm so happy I found this video!!! Beautiful sewing! Can you tell me where you purchased your cork? I love all the colors!!!
Thank you so much! Here is the cork - www.sewmanycreationsny.com/store/p892/Natural_Cork_Leather_in_Garden_Bloom.html
Ref your question about turning out corners: I like using a tongue depressor for rounded corners. The curved edges are really helpful.
Oh I love that!!! :)
If you blow a hairdryer into the bag, the ottertex softens up and goes into the bag nicer
What type of sewing machine do you use? It’s not only beautiful but seems to be a workhorse! Love your channel. This is my first video I’ve watched of yours! ☺️
Thanks for watching!!! It is a Sailrite fabricator! love it
Love my OESD metal point turner with smooth ball point on each end . They don’t poke through. Wish I could add a picture here for you

Absolutely Agree!!!
I use a wooden chop stick
Hi first time watching your video's what kind of machine do you use? thanks Laurie
Hi. Welcome, it’s a sailrite fabricator. Love it!
Ottertex turns a bit easier if you heat it a bit. Can use hair dryer or sometimes I toss it in dryer for couple minutes…not on high!😊
Yes... I'm sure it does... I will have to try that... just didn't really want another thing to plug in... lol
Where did you get your blue/teal cork? How long have you been sewing on a fabricator?
Hi.. I believe the cork is from fabric funhouse - fabricfunhouse.com/collections/cork-items/products/cork-fabric-bahama-blue
I've had my fabricator for about 1.5 years... love it... use it almost every day
What is your source for your rivet hole puncher. I like that round platform.
It was on Amazon. Similar to this

Where you buy your cork from
Mostly from fabricfunhouse.com or sewmanycreationsny.com
I don’t like the waterproof canvas you use I bought a lot and what’s better waterproof canvas to use
I still use the ottertex.. just heavy for certain projects. I love the light weight from www.indolovekreation.com/products/wpc-300d-solid-color?_pos=1&_sid=ff3f36064&_ss=r
