Well, if we leave all politics aside, there's nothing left of this suggestion. Just an ugly melody by an ugly voice in an ugly outfit. Hera has an ultra-bland song but at least she's a GREAT performer. Of course she won't qualify to the Final and Iceland missed a huge opportunity for vote-hunting but I 'm very glad this happened. Iceland is one of my very favourite countries in Eurovision and I really want them to win but with a good song. Next year perhaps?

@@wojciechnowak2921 hehe I kinda get you but surprise- surprise there was also much positivity in my comment but you chose to focus on the negativity ( which was much too, I confess) and I 'm wondering what does that make you :p
I love Iceland, I love Eurovision, I love Iceland in Eurovision, I love good music, I love Hera as a performer, I love Bashar's courage, I love Iceland's openness, coolness and humanity to give him some love and a voice( even that ugly one :p ), I love the good people of Palestine, I love the good people of Israel, I love the good people of the whole world, I love people who maintain enough humanity and bravery of soul to actually stand for the ones who suffer and still dare demand justice.
The only thing about this I hate is... Bashar's outfit :p I don't know who designed it but I wish they can do better.
Oh and propaganda overflooding Eurovision and destroying its very core by dirty politics. That's what I really hate.
So, my main negativity against Bashar's package was not hate, it was fear of his potential victory completing the attrocity Ukraine 2022 did to Eurovision. Which is not fully sincere cause I actually think that the job is done. Properly complete. I m just refusing to accept it cause I love Eurovision too much to start mourning for its death already.
And yes, the bass hook of Bashar's song is kinda cool and infectious but for me it's mostly drowned in the general ugliness sourounding it. Still I m glad you like it and I hope Bashar's path can create hope and inspiration for him and others who can relate.

Iceland's ESC journey has not gone well so far. Before last night's national final, even the "possibility" that Bashar would qualify for the final in Malmo had Iceland in third place on the betting sites. But less than 24 hours after the selection of a bad song, they are already down to ninth place and will undoubtedly fall further. Iceland missed a great chance this year. So get over. Sorry for you Iceland.

Robbed, robbed, absolutely robbed. This would have been an iconic moment in music history. And please, enough with the "Let's leave politics out of this," comments. Even "Unicorn" last year had political messages, Russia was banned (even though artists such as Little Big are opposed to the war), Ukraine won due to support from the world (that doesn't take away from the fact they had a great song), and so many voting between countries is political.
Also, it baffles me, that some people here want to ignore one of the biggest conflicts of our time taking place in real time (more children have been lost here in less time than other major wars)... If a country wants to give a voice to an artist to show the world Palestinians just want to live, laugh and enjoy music and culture like everyone else, then so be it.
