Ashley thank you so much for this video as a Christian girl teen I used to call myself a believer but I didn't really do anything that a believer would do. I mean I would occasionally go to Church but I didn't really connect with what the pastors were saying. Then I found a small community church in my area and they gave away free bibles so people could dig into Gods word and ever since that I have spent all of my free time in God's word and it is amazing just how much he has taught me I have become so much wiser and have found a peace in my heart that I never knew I had and you and Taylor have given me new ways to study the bible and for that I thank you. I use a devotional also to get started. I've had one for years called My Time With God. It's harder to find but it's actually a whole new testament and you read the whole thing each year. It also has a key OT verse, a commentary by a different pastor each day and asks you a couple questions to reflect on. I use it with my Bible just to get a broader perspective and I can get scripture references from my Bible. But yes your Bible is soul food.
I loved the acts plan on she reads truth! Am currently doing the Romans plan on She Reads Truth. Check it out! You can change the settings to what translation of the Bible you use and they have super cute backgrounds for your phone.
It's great! Some are like $1.99 but so worth it because they usually last a month or more! I love them. you can buy work books but I just write in my journal & there is "He Reads Truth" which is for men.
I love how devoted you are. I often get into reading my bible get caught off guard and stop for some time. I lack comprehending what I've just read so I deff take notes or summarize
I don't know if this counts, but I have been using it when I study passages, chapters, or even words. If I'm studying passages, I'll use commentaries available on BibleHub, its been very helpful especially in passages where it is heavy in symbolism and I'd just go "Heh?". In terms of definitions, I use Bible Study Tools, but they have more than dictionaries. Bible Study Tools has Verses of the Day, Reading Plans, Devotionals, Sermons, Bible Stories, Sections for different verses according to different topics such as forgiveness or anxiety, the list goes on. I haven't used Blue Letter Bible very much, but I was introduced to it in University as a reliable source for Bible reading and commentary study (I'm in a Christian University, where I learned that Bible Reading is so much more than just that). I know this is 2 years late, and I don't know how much this will help, but I do hope this blesses you!💜
