Tip no3 : don’t bite off more than what you can chew
Tip no4: give yourself grace and don’t give up

@@artbygiselle even when it’s a struggle don’t give up, make time for studying Gods word each day! Start you day with God and end your day with God, if you struggling, pray to God to give you motivation, and the energy each day, and have Faith ❤️!
Remember guys it’s not about getting it done, it’s about understanding and enjoying reading his word.

I'm so happy you mentioned "The Bible Project" I love their channel as well. I read the New Testament. But having a hard time with the Old Testament, because I always got stuck in Numbers and Deuteronomy.
As a new christian in a non religious household these videos really helpfull. Im 19 right now and im starting the alpha youth group in january close to my house. Im so thankfull that the lord made me stumble upon this channel because its been helping a lot!

I've read through the Bible 6-7 times but the first time took me about 6 years as well to get into a routine and finally after setting aside a lot of things like radio, music and TV, I was able to keep track of my progress and for sure made it through. After that, I just started over and kept up the routine.
Trying to read the Bible entirely is so daunting, especially when you get confused or fail to understand some of it, but your videos are such an encouragement to keep going and stay close to the Lord xxx
Cool advice . one thing that I might add is that about 15 minutes a day will get you through the Bible in a year . Also playing a audio version you are reading at the same time helps a lot .

i am praying and pls pray for me and also for those people who are willing to read through entire bible to continuously read and be transformed, be consistent upon it and i am hoping to finish reading through it by the age 20 i guess. I am 18 as of now and read some books. And FOR US who are willing to comeback with the Lord, the days are evil, we might fall down again but remember "the enemy's ultimate goal is the destruction of God's children so when trials and problems come, we must not think and act against God because if we, the enemy wins despite the love we had building on with God." The challenges are much more closer to the ones who've just started working on their faith. anddd btw i am so thankful for this yt channel actually it is my mom who recommended me this heheheh
I would also say that invite the Holy Spirit into your Bible study. He gives more clarity and understanding to whatever you are reading and it also becomes more fruitful. The word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light on our path (Psalm 119:105) and the oil that keeps the lamp burning is the Holy Spirit.

I feel like another great tip is to not just open and close your bible Pray before you open it ask for the scriptures to be heart felt and to get something from them and if you do meditate on that pray about it! Hope you are all going well in your walks!

Thank you for this video! I heard that 90% of Christians have never read the Bible all the way through! This makes me so sad. If we are going to live by it, we need to know what is in it. It may be hard, but we HAVE to get into His word more. Our pastor tells us to start in 1 John, then St. John, and then all the Gospels, Then the rest of the NT, and then the Old. Thank you again!

YESS! Reading the bible (hopefully in a year) and I'm going by books, trying to read 2-3 books a week, going in no specific order and I've enjoyed it so far! The best part is even if I don't finish in a year, I'm still on track and focused on studying, I'll have read more in one year than ever before. Love the DaySpring links too!
God put it SO STRONGLY on my heart, very specifically, to read through the Bible in just one year! I was so confused, because that would mean 4 chapters a day (and a chapter takes me about an hour!), so plus school and work with no downtime and 8 hours to sleep is all I have time for in a day. It’s been three days and I have struggled. Hard. But I know that since it is God’s Will God’s Will shall be done. And if for whatever reason I fail, and take two years, it’s for a reason. Thank you, God.

I had to make time for it. What i find, it is best for me to have my quite time in the morning, which is very challenging, especially full time working. I read my bible from 5-7 am than i go on with my day. That means, i need to schedule my sleep schedule to it haha.

Thank you for this, I'm so blessed with how God works through you, very inspiring and just you talking about the 1 year, or even 6 month bible plans being overwhelming made me feel not alone because when I decided to give my life to God about a year or so ago I immediately rushed into that and I thought I was a failure, I think I might've had this deep down worry that something was wrong with me if I could never read the bible like that in huge chunks. And thank you for reminding us its ok when you miss a day 😊 God bless you guys

I just discovered the importance of Jesus Christ and I’m turning 30 this year, even though I know he’s been with me my whole life, i know he will forgive me for my absence as I know now he will and always be there for me. I began studying his word this year. The pandemic and worldly problems stressed me out and didn’t know who are what to turn to. It takes time and sometimes negativity to put you on the right path. I’m happy to know I’m not the only one feeling this way and love that I have found a place where I know I belong and it brings me immense joy knowing others feel the same. I totally relate. Sometimes I spend 30 minutes dissecting one verse and then I feel like I got behind on my reading but Im learning it isn't about how quickly you read through it!

In the Orthodox Church, there is a common devotion for people to read 3 chapters a day (usually 1 chapter of the Gospels followed by 2 chapters from Acts/Epistles/Revelation). I went through the New Testament some like 20+ times like that... read the Old Testament some 2 times, and yes, it is much more time consuming.

When I read the Bible I started in genesis and all of Old Testament and than the New Testament. Took me like 6 months I think but I listened to the Bible through audio on my walks!
