I just screamed out at my kids beging them to clean up. And now i will definetly do toy rotation. I did it before but stopped at one point. Need to organize again. Thanks for a reminder and inspiration
We have a toy area in our house, too! I do not let the kids have toys in their bedrooms-just books and pillows that are shaped like animals. It helps to create a safe sleeping/restful environment for them. I like the toys in the closet, idea-right now all the toys are on bookshelves in our living room with a curtain that covers the visual clutter-but they have access to it all-and when it is time to put it away-it can be a lot to sort. Humm… how can I make this work in my space. I’m already thinking up solutions! Thanks Jady!
I put most of my toddlers toys away as well out of reach in our closet in baskets 🧺. I love rotating it. They get less bored that way. My daughter is only 3 and when I rotate her toys for her she will say. "Thank you mama " I can tell she really appreciates it. 💕
We're about to move to a new house and I really want to implement this! I know life would be less stressful if all the toys were easy to pick up and put away and not such quick access to them. I love this idea!
Jady is so organized!! I love using bins. I label them with themes that I teach or items I like to pull out on rainy days and special activities. If my children ask to use certain materials I say. "Make it a Bin Day," and they get excited!!! Thanks Jady!!
Great video! Thanks for showing us this, I can imagine being transparent about your kids is hard but clearly your doing it right. Thanks again! The toy rotation started for me last year and has been a life changing game changer, my toddler kids even play better with them and less mess. Win=win!
Thank you so much for this! Your videos have given me the confidence to homeschool my preK daughter and your home organization tips and routines have been so helpful! I’ve been wondering how you organize the toys and your homeschool closet (shelf work, etc) so this video was great! Many thanks and blessings to you and your family.
I love this video! Every parent needs to see this but it can help anyone who is trying to organize the clutter in their home. I grew up with a huge playroom, filled with tons of toys that I didn't play with. I knew that I was blessed and my parents taught me to give back but it was always a battle to keep clutter organized. And being kids, how could my sibling and I pick up when we were overwhelmed by that much "unmanageable" mess. Looking back, I can only pinpoint a few things I really played with and cherished. My dolls, the doll house, blocks, our toy kitchen and crafts. So, open ended toys like you show here that can be improved upon by imagination. Other than that my favorite toy was the out-of-doors :)
Hi Jady, I love your channel! In my opinion you have the most informative channel on youtube and all of your videos are packed with great ideas and tips. I have just purchased a phonics book you recommended a while back. Thanks for all you do x
I had unlimited toys (almost) and I really feel bad that I was a messy kid. My poor mother used to beg us to clean up and she ended up always doing it. I wish she would have done this with me. Would have taught me more value. Thank you!
I love your intentionality in everything you do Jady. It is inspiring and many of us young/new moms don't have role models to look up to or a village to pass their wisdom down to us in this journey. Thank you for everything you share with us!
Omg what a trip to memory lane Polly pockets! It was my favourite! My son toys fit all in a small regular school lunch bag plus a pencil case with craft things. It was the best decision to get rid of all of his toys his imagination has skyrocketed, he makes toys out of bottles, milk boxes anything, we built together doll houses with boxes and have most fun he plays hours with it...he makes scenarios but mostly we play outside a lot at least 3-4 hours outside. We have also borrowed toys or exchange toys for toy rotation. He still destroys toys but he is starting to realise that he better not have disregard for his toys. I followed the parenting junkie framework for toys/play area to cover all the play activities
Yes!! To me, that’s a lot! We’re renting and don’t have all the space we’d like so right now their toys are in a tackle box type thing that I’m able to lock and give them access to when we’ll either be playing together or when I “need” them to be entertained for a while when I’m having one of those days! I have 4 and this is the extent of their collection. I intend to start homeschooling next year and your content has been such an amazing tool for me; we have so much in common! 💘
Oh my goodness Jady, those Poly Pockets brought back all the memories of hours of imaginative play for me! I had so many and kept them once I grew older, but then we had a house fire when I was 17 and I lost al my things. You have me now searching eBay for them because the newer kind just isn’t the same! 😆💕
You opened the purple Polly Pocket and I was immediately reminded of my love for them😍I definitely had that one and a few others when I was little. I would seriously watch a whole video on those 🙈
Gracias Jady for sharing this. I have three kids and honestly, they don't have as much as your kids do, but, right now it seems like they do have way more. 🤦🏿♀️I have most of their toys in bins and baskets but I've been looking for better ways to keep their mess in control and you just gave me an idea where and how to start. I don't have that closet you have though! 😕😜 But this video was really helpful. Thank you. Que El Señor la siga bendiciendo.
You are absolutely organised with toys and also a minimalist. Less is more. I get your most important point here - invest in a good storage solution. Buy plastic storages that fit a place to store all toys. 🥰🥰🥰
I love that you play with the Polly Pockets too! That’s also a part of my childhood, and I feel like a kid all over again when my daughter plays with them.
Excellent video, thank you! I just started using a locked closet, too. However, I haven't taken the next step to removing the toys from the bedroom/living room, etc. I LOVED those tiny old Polly Pocket toys as a kid. LOVED.
Oh my gosh! I am gonna try this right away for my 3 littles. I do rotate toys but alot are still out for them all the time. And you rightly said even i dont like their disregard to the toys. Thanku for this idea!
Hey Jady. It's the first time I saw you enabled comments in your videos. I just want to say that I have learnt a lot from you during the last year and enjoy your videos. Your kids are sweet. God bless! Keep up the good work.
Jady what do you do with all the little things that make their way in. I have 5 also and feel like I’m always battling the little junk that comes in from parties and gifts and festivals and church and just everything that my kids want to keep.
Great, question! I slowly start to throw out the things that I don't see them play with or find on the floor, without them seeing. They don't even remember they had it.
I throw it away or donate stuff like that I do not keep it but you can have a bin for them too- A mix and match bin if its important to you and your kids will use it.
I love Polly pockets ! Here in souther Cali we have Polly pockets in our local Walgreens drug stores and target and even Walmart ! So happy to see them in this video
I have been using the bin system for a few years and we let toys get out of control mostly through gifts and stuff that sneaks in like goodie bags, projects etc. Then the Lord sent a flood to our basement and we lost so much of our stuff, but honestly it was a great blessing because it provided us with a reset and now we are back to minimal toys that my kids love and use. My children function so much better with less!
I have been completely stressed about my house for a long time and the toys are a big part of it. Your video just changed my life! I've tried toy rotations before but it was difficult for me to keep up with because I was concerned with making my toy rotations "cute" and I also kept just too large an invetory of toys. When you talked about the one doll you grew up with and also about seeing your children disregard the toys they had it finally clicked in my head. Ive been trying to teach my children to respect what they have but it hasn't been sinking in. I think partly because I had a feeling that they "deserved" toys instead of viewing as a privelege. The word "privelege" chamged it all. I was finally able to get rid of extra toys when I realized they didnt need them and that it was a >gift< to have what they have. I did a big purge and really thout about what to keep and chose their gavorites of all and ones that they'll use a long time in the future. Today was our first day with the new toy set up. My two kids played together ALL morning long. They didn't even look for a single toy at all until 11am! They were just content to playtogether. I am blown away! Not a single whining or crying eother!
I have bins for my kids but it wasn’t organized lol so defeated the purpose… toys end up all over we have a whole playroom and it’s ridiculous… so guess what we are purging, they don’t even play with half of it!! Thank you for this Jady!
Can you please Do a video about how to play pretend with children. I really want to teach my children to play pretend but I honestly don't know how. And I would love to see a video about the poly pockets
Love this video. I’ve just started rotating my kids toys and it’s been a game changer. Have you done a video on how you organize and store your homeschool/learning activities? I am having a hard time organizing those!
Love this whole idea and concept! We have been using it now for about a year and still love it, it's the only system that has worked for us and I find it much better than toy rotation too! God continue to bless you guys abundantly in Christ our Lord! Thanks for sharing and ps. I love Polly Pockets too and so do our kids (what kids don't like to play with miniature things, right? haha!).
I like my kids to have some toys at hand like in the Montessori way. But I did move some toys upstairs to get downstairs occasionally like you explained in this video. Cleaning up is much better now!
We did do toy roulation before. But most toys ended up downstairs again. We homeschool and educational games are stored in categories. Only a few are out on the shelves to choose from.
Hey Jady, it's been a long since I am watching your channel n I really love it. I keep on watching n re watching your stuff time n again.. thank you so much for creating such wonderful n informative vedios. Love from India.
How much would you estimate that you budgeted to buy all the containers? Can you please do a video on how you organize and separate the materials for your school centers?
I would be interested to see how you organize all the little educational, Montessori type toys for babies and school. Is it a similar set up in a different closet or are all your items in the school room? I have a little one (5months) that I am trying to incorporate some Montessori items with, and it seems that there could be a lot of things that add up over the years.
Thank you for sharing. This is exactly what i want to do with my sons toys as he doesnt end playing with a lot of the toys cause there in the bottom of the toy box.
This is great. I need a solution, myself. We have a “toy room” but I want it to be a school room. It’s constantly a mess. I get so stressed. I have a closet that would be perfect for this idea.
Wow! This is what I was already doing and for the exact reasons you mentioned. I noticed the same with my sons, they love playing with the things when we get them out. One thing Id like to ask, how do you approach family members wanting to buy lots of toys. I have a family member who buys A LOT and it really drives me crazy. I dont want to take the joy of giving away from them but dont want tons of battery noise stuff. How to approach this?
Hi Jady! Ty for sharing your toy organization! Just what I needed..I have a burning question though: how do you store all your homeschool related games/supplies/etc? You always have new videos showing new things you have bought for homeschool..how do u store those??
Thanks for sharing Jady. Can you tell us where did you buy the shelves from?? They are so nice and prácticas and Can I adjust them to my space?? Or I have to buy a specific size??
This is a great idea. I have slowly started to collect bins to do something similar to this. What would you recommend if we do not have extra storage closets like this? Right now we keep bins in the room closet but I find it makes too much mess in the bedroom, we are in an apartment so we have to be very creative with space.
Thank you for your video, I really want to start a toy rotation cupboard in our home now! How do you deal with toy gifts from grandparents and other family members? We are trying to reduce the amount of toys coming in but we find that grandparents bring more and the cycle never ends! We try to discourage toy gifts from them but find that they often buy toys anyway. Thanks
I watched my boys play for a month and everything they didnt touch i got rid of. That was a truck load to the Church! Felt great. And guess what, they dont miss them at all
What about puzzles..wooden Vegies to cut or sticks to put in a hole (fine motor skills)…scientific experiments or kinetic sand Stuff like this Do you consider them learning materials and are stored elsewhere? Thanks a lot I have done similar thing for my kids but didn’t work because of the latch So you encouraged me to do it again and lock it this time 👍
Hello Jady! Your videos are wonderful. For this topic, what do you do with toys that are partially broken/damaged? Do the kids play with it after fixing them or are they discarded or are they fixed and donated? I mean toys that are maybe missing a wheel, or a doll without a leg...things like that. And what are your ideas on electronic toys which require batteries and charging?
Do you have a video of all the items you use for homeschool? I have collected lots of (preschooll) items, and I'm struggling on how to organize them. Do you rotate your homeschool shelves daily, weekly, monthly? I'm trying to downsize toys now, but I can't seem to let go, because it may have an "educational value"
Can I ask a question please? - How do do that when you have a little kid around and they are playing with small parts or something the baby could swallow/break etc? Our 4yrs old would like to play e.g. board games but they are usually only for his age not for his 1 year old brother. I feel sorry when I every time have to ask him to wait when his brother fell asleep or another time. Our little one loves discovering and climbing and it's difficult to keep him away from the game on the table. I prepare different toys for him but of course he wants the same as his older brother :)
I would love to see if you updated your cleaning routine.
Yes.
Your approach to motherhood is so beautiful
I just screamed out at my kids beging them to clean up. And now i will definetly do toy rotation. I did it before but stopped at one point. Need to organize again. Thanks for a reminder and inspiration

It's an amazing strategy, it teaches them respect for their toys, I'm overwhelmed with toys here.
We're about to move to a new house and I really want to implement this! I know life would be less stressful if all the toys were easy to pick up and put away and not such quick access to them. I love this idea!
I have always rotated my children's and grandchildren's. They get so excited when the old toys come out
Can’t believe how big Jade is getting. I feel like I’ve know you guys forever. Thanks for the video
Jady is so organized!! I love using bins. I label them with themes that I teach or items I like to pull out on rainy days and special activities. If my children ask to use certain materials I say. "Make it a Bin Day," and they get excited!!! Thanks Jady!!

I love that you play with the Polly Pockets too! That’s also a part of my childhood, and I feel like a kid all over again when my daughter plays with them.
Love it! Inspired to purge and organize toys. Also, they sell polly pockets again!
Excellent video, thank you! I just started using a locked closet, too. However, I haven't taken the next step to removing the toys from the bedroom/living room, etc.
I LOVED those tiny old Polly Pocket toys as a kid. LOVED.
So happy to see this video! Please make more videos like this. Inspiring for me as a mum of 2 xxx

Your kids are so adorable. I do love this idea of yours. Thank you so much Jady. By this I can plan how I set up my up coming daycare.
If only I had a space like that to organize our toys! Love it
This is amazing! I am feeling inspired to organize my kids toys! Thank you for sharing
Needed this, I do something similar but this is executed much better!

Thank you for the wonderful ideas, Jadi. Blessings to you and yours 🙏💐🎉
I remembered these polly pockets. I used to have it when i was young
Love this video. I’ve just started rotating my kids toys and it’s been a game changer. Have you done a video on how you organize and store your homeschool/learning activities? I am having a hard time organizing those!
I face the exact same issue! Just cant seem to keep the learning activities sorted and organized. Would definitely love to watch a video on this.
@@sneha_loves_to_read glad it’s not just me! Our learning activities are mostly all over our dining room table which we don’t use 🤣
Really loved seeing this. You are an inspiration to me. .
thanks so inspiring i want to see the Polly pockets please whenever you get time i loved them also

Me encantó. Lo necesitaba. Saludos desde Ecuador. Gracias.
Thank you for sharing other learninng approaches.
Thank you for sharing Jady!!💕💕💕💕💕
I like my kids to have some toys at hand like in the Montessori way. But I did move some toys upstairs to get downstairs occasionally like you explained in this video. Cleaning up is much better now!
We did do toy roulation before. But most toys ended up downstairs again. We homeschool and educational games are stored in categories. Only a few are out on the shelves to choose from.
I’m so doing this. Omg this video really helped me. Thank U!
Love this! You're Amazing Jady!
I agree! Beautiful idea.
Hey Jady, it's been a long since I am watching your channel n I really love it. I keep on watching n re watching your stuff time n again.. thank you so much for creating such wonderful n informative vedios. Love from India.
I grew up with Polly pockets too. So fun and I love your organization. I'm off to Walmart to buy containers LOL!
That was quick!! I just watched your No toy Christmas video and commented I would love to see a toy organization update 💜 🤣
Love it! Beautiful toys, but not too over whelming ❤️
How much would you estimate that you budgeted to buy all the containers? Can you please do a video on how you organize and separate the materials for your school centers?
Jady this is fantastic! I will be putting a designated space together for this!
Hi I love your videos. Can you give more information of the polymer clay and tools your kids like and use.
My son's toys were in bins but not by category. I'm going to reorganize them. Hopefully this helps with chaos. Thanks!
Thank you very much Jady
It is very helpful 👍

You are absolutely 💯 amazing God has really blessed you with talent 💕💜💖🙏
Can you share how you spend Christmas. I’m trying to find new ways to make Christmas special. What can we replace gift giving with?
Thank you very much, it seems amazing!!

I have done similar thing for my kids but didn’t work because of the latch
So you encouraged me to do it again and lock it this time 👍
Yes those are educational material and I store them somewhere else.
Very helpful thank you.
I would love to see how you store your educational resources 😊
Love this !!
My daughter has that exact shirt as your oldest!
Me encantó!
Gracias ♥️
Can I ask a question please? - How do do that when you have a little kid around and they are playing with small parts or something the baby could swallow/break etc? Our 4yrs old would like to play e.g. board games but they are usually only for his age not for his 1 year old brother. I feel sorry when I every time have to ask him to wait when his brother fell asleep or another time. Our little one loves discovering and climbing and it's difficult to keep him away from the game on the table. I prepare different toys for him but of course he wants the same as his older brother :)
