Starting today, I will no longer freestyle
such great video.. I could never explain it like this, but i always new what wayne and jay z meant... before i stopped rapping.. left music for a decade, came back and started producing... i was so good at writing and memorizing, it became a point where i could just memorize the first couple bars ( i never recorded them or punched in like he is talking about, tech was limited in early 2000's) but i could come up with the first 2 bars.. spit it over and over to myself, then the next 2 would come, so on and o fourth, when i got to 16 bars, i had the whole verse memorized and never wrote anything down...
that focusrite interface aint no joke
@crackalack This is exactly what I teach artist, I love this topic because I tell artist when you write you're only free styling, I would love to send you one of my home recordings to get your input on where I could use some improvements.

@@crackalackmusicmarketing it must have never went thru. I don't see it anymore. But I was just asking your opinion on a freestyle I had did that's all
I'm enjoying this series. Nothing worse than someone only having a couple of hot lines and the rest just throw away bars. Jay Z and Lil wayne are dope with the freestyles but that's because they mastered the penmanship first. They don't even need the ink anymore.
