So unfortunately government funding equates to standardized test, so unfair for homeschooling

You need to watch the entire interview. Your statement is not true. 1) The government is not finding the scholarship, it is a third party donation site for businesses. So businesses are donating money. But it is regulated by the government. 2) The scholarship for low income students ( PEP) is not homeschooling. It functions like homeschooling but it is not. The PEP is requiring standardize test. 3) The homeschooling laws have not been changed. And homeschoolers (unless they are special needs -which is a different scholarship) are not receive money or funding.

@@LivingWithEveThank you for doing this interview. I still feel somewhat confused because I literally got chat assistance when I was doing the application process. I was directed to apply for PEP when I explained that I was a homeschool mom. The legislation isn't perfectly clear because of the undefined terminology. I got approved and funded and now I'm thinking I need to undo everything. Our single income family of 7 was excited to get the much needed support as more of our children age into primary school. I guess we'll need to find other avenues.

Accountability works both ways. Where government money goes says a lot about the values of your leaders. If they have an imbalance of values, kick them out. Education--good education--matters.
