Playing my best tennis vs a 3.5 slice & control player - Will the scoreboard reflect my efforts?

- I learned a lot from this match, but scorekeeping once again was not one of them [See set 2]. Someone give this girl some memory exercises cuz I can't afford to give free points away!!
C had some unconventional forehand slices that changed up the ball trajectory on me and some great drop shots. Looks like I'll need to work on moving the ball a bit better against a no-man's land player. Hopefully I'll get a rematch soon!

Good playing Teresa & Cecilia! Thanks for sharing!
Good try and keep going! You have a nice game coming along.
Thank you for the support! 💪🏻💪🏻
Nice playing!
Thanks a lot!
Nice play! Plenty of potential there. Yeh moving to the ball better is always useful... But maybe shot selection could be something to think about. I watched some of your doubles and you hit some nice deep shots, even against the man. Maybe try always hitting cross court as a general rule, just to give you something to focus on. You seemed to make a few unforced errors when you had too much 'choice' when deciding where to hit the ball. Doubles is sometimes easier because you know you have to avoid the net player...
If you want to come to the net then hit down-the-line, as a general rule... You'd be surprised how often you can stick to these rules and let your opponent hit the difficult shots... Good luck!
Thanks for the tips! Will give it a try during my next match!
No worries! :) Just to add, if your opponent is particularly strong on one side, hitting to their weaker side is fine too, especially if you have a ball in the middle of the court. Also, if you have been hitting cross for a while and they are off the court chasing a wide ball, hitting to the open court is an option. But I'd say this is more by exception! 80%-90% cross court unless coming to the net...
Your FH and BH both look good 👍
On the return, aiming cross court every time could also be useful (aim in the middle of the box between the center mark and singles sideline, and between the service line and the baseline). You will be aiming for the low part of the net at a big target. And, if you hit early it will be a good angle, and if you hit late it will go down the line... It looked like you struggled against a few of her serves, so maybe having a clear mental target could help... Just a thought!
Imagine thinking this is 3.5 tennis.
As someone struggling to know its own rating, I saw that and was like, if this is 3.5, I am 4... and I think I am between a 3 and a 3.5...
Imagine being so fixated on ratings that you prefer to put people down, instead of being a supportive community for the sport we enjoy and just being glad that other people love playing it as well
Please share your footage big man?
