- The Andalusian city of Seville fell to Christian Castile in 1248, after over 500 years of being a Muslim city. Abu al-Baqa’ al-Rundi was a contemporary Andalusian poet from the city of Ronda, in southern Iberia, who wrote a lament about the fall of the once great city in 1267. He alluded to ancient Arabian and Persian history in his poem, hoping to inspire Muslims to rise up and recapture the city.

You're not a son of al Andalus... And we are Berbers... Tariq ibn Zyad the Conqueror was an Amazigh as his 12 000 men... the people who migrated massively to Al Andalus were the Berbers at 14km accross the detroit, and certainly not the Arabs at 6 to 8000 km away... the Andalusian architecture was made to look like the Maghribia... I don t hate the Arabs, the best man who ever lived was Muhammad saws my prophet and he was an Arab... but we are not, we ve been Arabized, and a lot of us thinks they are Arabs, by ignorance. The blood links we share between the Maghariba and the Iberians proves my statement... not to mention the logic and history... I personally descend from Moriscos who could escape to Rabat after 1492.

According to historical sources, one of the reasons Al Andalus was lost, was because it was considered an outpost of Islamic civilization rather than a center of it and was thus not given a higher priority compared to the Maghreb and Levant.
That is euro-centrism thought because people want to know how it could fall. It fell because good times create soft people. Hard times create strong people.
He says in this poem, are there no soldiers to come and defend? The Catholic Church had enslaved so many soldiers, they were outnumbered.
..they plotted for hundreds of years to steal Al Andalus as it defended Al Andalus aka Atlantis in America which stretched from California to Peru and into Brazil.
Spanish was the colonizers language which was initially called Ladino (written in Arabic script). Ladino America is Arab America.
Madrid is Mayrit aka Maurit. Ancient Mauritanya aka Morocco.
K’Arab’ian = Carribean.
Andalus comes from the mountain range Andes. To throw off the scent of Atlantis - they called the Moroccan mountains Atlas Mountains. (Atlantis).
South American mountain range Andes.

One of the meanings of الذل is also shame and it has the same connotation with humiliation. See Hans Wehr.
