    Lovely room. Reorganizing and remodeling a craft space is a huge challenge. But worth the effort in the end if it fills all your wishes of function. I'm working on mine as well. I mounted magnetic vent covers to my door with double sided tape to store and display my metal dies. I love this solution so far, easy to see and use. You could do this on wall above counter where you'll keep your machine. No more boxes on the desk. I'm visual, must see to use my supplies. Good luck with your remodel. Can't wait to see the finished room.

      I like the idea of the mounted magnets for dies! I agree, out of sight, out of mind, and that's not a good thing when it comes to crafting supplies:)

    Brilliant video, a real craft room which looks like lots of crafting is actually done. I have watched many craft room tours of very nice rooms but I can't believe much creating is really done.
    Thank you.

    Great room! Lots of options. It seems like craft rooms in general are ever evolving right? My pegboards are a life saver for me. They are like 5’x4’ and store awkward stuff like cords, tapes, and stuff that do well in tubs. You are going to love a new set up! Have fun. Thanks for sharing.

      Yes they are! I've been debating a peg board for one corner of the "closet" but haven't decided just yet. I'm mapping out where I want all of my supplies to go before I make my final decisions about what storage solutions to purchase. What a task!!!

    Good luck. My craft room started down stairs in half the size of my house and now a room upstairs too. It’s overwhelming. Needless to say what the rest of the house is suffering. I’m going to watch you and hopefully get ideas from you. I really do wish you good luck as it’s s quite a challenge and all I want to do is just keep crafting. I’m now trying to downsize a third room. Oh well happy crafting! It is so much fun. I’m in desperate need of storage solutions so please make videos of all your steps; especially you thought processes of how to pick ideas and where to get them.

    Good luck with your remodel! One storage solution that has worked well for my stand alone dies, is to put the magnet sheets in photo albums (I use 8x8 albums but you could use any size). I organize the dies by theme or type, number the albums and keep a key to remind me where to find everything.

    • @MostlyPaperCrafts

    Keep your rubber stamps on the blocks. I started removing them, but never finished. And I have tons of stamps. They do fit in the IKEA boxes really well if you stack them by theme and lay them flat.

    Hi! I'm a new subscriber. I will be moving and will have my own craft room very soon so I'm looking at craft room videos for ideas for storage. I'm looking forward to starting from scratch. I have a similar wired 12x12 paper holder which was gifted to me for Christmas one year. Mine is a fairly large one which a friend of mine bought at an antique store that was going out of business. They go for a lot of money so I'm very happy to have mine. Looking forward how your craft room will look like after the remodeling. Thank you for sharing.

    • @MostlyPaperCrafts
      @MostlyPaperCrafts  4 года назад

      Best of luck to you! There are huge advantages to starting from scratch and I hope you'll be able to
      plan it all just the way you want it from the beginning. My scrapbook paper rack was the first thing to go because it takes up a lot of floor space, but I have loved it for years and if the room were bigger, it would definitely stay put.

    This is great! I am looking forward to the progress! Have you heard about the scrap rack system? I only recently seen a few RUclips videos about it. It seems to store loads of paper, scraps, ribbon and embellishments. Thought I would share with in case it could be a help.

    The paper fades & needs to be kept in dark to keep from fading ( I know from working in scrapbook stores for 10 years ) ! ALL paper fades from light. I use & you could, use a black plastic bag to cover my paper & keep from light ! In my case it is in front, in your case it would be from behind ( to protect from window behind ) ! Paper costs a lot of money... you don't want to destroy them !!! Nice craft room & thanks foe sharing :)

    Can't wait to see the new remodel. Here is one idea of what I did for dies, clear rubber stamps and embossing folders, For all my dies, clear rubber stamps and embossing folders using the WER Mem. 123 Punch Board I made folders for all using 8 1/2 cardstock to make 6 1/2 by 8 1/2 folders. I stapled the sides so they would not slide out on all. I took all my small dies and labeled them by who and what. AG-Lace Corners=Anna Griffin-Lace Corners, CC-Peony=Crafters Companion Peony etc. I went as far as making the folder by Color like we all know CC is Purple and Anna Griffin is Gold/Yellow. Any others I did my own category. I also cut a sample of the die of a different color and taped to the front of the folder, For clear rubber stamps I did the same and stamped the front of the folder with the stamp so I can see what stamp it is. For Embossing Folders I used them and embossed the Cardstock Folder before stapling the sides. Then I purchased some decorative boxes I found at Michaels 9 1/2 by 13 by 6 and labeled and all my folders fit perfect in these boxes. Now when I need one all I have to do is pull one box. All My BIGGER dies are In a binder with Magnetic holders I purchased from Amazon all labeled the same way and if it is a kit I REF+ Folder CC-Peony as an example. I will tell you that by doing this I freed a lot of space and they are easy to find. Waiting to see what the new remodel will look like.

      @MostlyPaperCrafts  3 года назад +1

      Haha of course! I’ve never painted anything in my house unless I was about to replace the flooring. I don’t trust myself, but also, I don’t want to have to be careful. It’s much more fun to paint when you can sling it around :)

    Word to the wise, lots of things are not in stock and readily available because many, many people are doing renovations. Get furniture things ordered now if you expect to have them in the next several weeks. Everything I wanted from IKEA is out of stock and not expected in till late March and May. I’ve ended up ordering storage units I would never of thought of because of things being out of stock. And since I’m spending my money on that, my room will not be the palace I planned, but everything will be able to be utilized in other areas. My month long revamp is now at the end of two months, and I’m hoping it will be workable by the end of March 2021. I’m a renter so I can’t rip out the closet or anchor big furnishing to the wall (they are brick anyway.) good luck. Don’t be so set on getting specific furnishing that you are unable to compromise with what is available.

    • @MostlyPaperCrafts
      @MostlyPaperCrafts  3 года назад

      I found out what you're talking about the night before I read your comment... Ikea is wiped out, at least for delivery. I had to do some major pivoting, but I think I'm back on track now. I hope that you'll be able to make your project work and that it turns out even more wonderful than you originally planned!

When the summer HEAT and sun goes on them chances of them drying and stamps wringing. Perhaps u may want to move them don't risk it plz looks like you spent ALLOT of money.
