For tip 3, I would like to add that a low risk medic experience gain can be done via replacing the Nano-regen device with Shield Regen Field. It encourages the player to take cover and be less aggressive to maximise shield healing as medic. Great video though, I am certain this will help new players to Planetside
A tip that you didn't state but showed at the end, the yellow line in buildings is at head level when fighting on the same floor. You can use this to help keep your gun aimed to where their heads will appear.
For tip one, I actually recommend keeping thr colors the same as the factions because you can identify which faction a vehicle/player belongs to much more easily. And I play TR exclusively. trust me you'll get used to it
Just don't do what I did when I first started... I had never played a game as a pilot and had never read the instructions on how to fly, I still proceeded to get into an ESF and fly out of the warpgate. I didn't just do this once I did this every single time I had resources. Best believe I keep tissues around every time I look my KD. (Tip: In those days VR Training Facility didn't exist, now it does and it should allow you to make all the necessary mistakes to at least learn the basics of flying. It's a great place to practice headshots too).
IMPORTANT: THE SNIPER/Infiltrator CLASS: in this video he explained the two easy grind for certs classes. the medic and the engineer. HOWEVER, the infiltrator/sniper has a (spotter) gun that will not only highlight enemies on your minimap but you will also receive experience/certs from the kills that your teammates get from you spotting them. this can be a good source of exp and is just as valid as the engineer/medic class though it may take more time to accumulate exp doing this with the sniper class. more people in one area, more likely you'll make more exp EXTRA: 2 other good sources of exp come from sunderer or tanks. with the sunderer (sundy) you can gain spawn experience points. however it is important to have your sunderer WELL PLACED. tactically speaking, as you wont gain points if your sundy is destroyed. kind of a no brainer but this is an open world tactical game so i felt i should mention this to new players. again, this method usually takes longer to accumulate exp. but it is possible, though unlikely, that you'll make more exp just off that alone than you do from using the previous methods. again, very unlikely. next up the tank: well. i mean... tank with anti infantry type gun mounted to it rather than the normal weapon. i think its safe to say great infantry killer rather than going head to head with them as tank armor is better than body armor. lmfao. i'm not a pro, i suck at this game most days but you find ways to make it work. extra plus. the MAX: also great anti infantry killer while using anti infantry type weapons slotted to your character. only downfall is you are going to want an engineer nearby to repair you. so if there's none nearby you could easily die as your weapons are very inaccurate while all the regular infantry around you have much higher accuracy. ONE LAST THING: this kind of goes with what i said about the MAX. understanding that gun damage is not exactly the most important part about choosing a weapon. rather, you should be checking it's RANGE for what works best in different scenarios. maybe you're on a hill sniping, or maybe your in a building and you have a shotgun, and the other guns for everything in between. in my opinion range is the most important thing to this game. again, im not a pro. maybe i might be somewhat off with certain perspectives to some of these mechanics. maybe someone might differ in opinion with what i mentioned. this is just what i take from my own experience. i've probably only seen 3 player guides including this one and thats it. anyway, if you took the time to read this thank you, i really appreciate your time. i'll see you on the frontline. one more thing to add, i know some people might say that the methods i mentioned are not as good as the first 2 (medic engineer method) or other methods of their own. however if you think about the overall exp gains rather than the base amount ( per revive/ per spot/per resupply) you may think about it differently. if you're having a hard time making experience with one method you can try another and it may work better. also, there is a menu that can track your records ( player> Stats ) (this ranges from a week to a year though, unfortunately, but it tracks your kills, deaths, certs and etc.. it would be nice to know your progress throughout each session, but unfortunately it doesn't scale down time frame to that little. lastly, you can download recursion tracker if you want a red dot in the middle of your screen. recursion is allowed on planetside 2. not gonna go into too much detail about it. there's a few other things like voice packs new HUD's and (weapon statistics((accuracy, kills with what guns, both your own and your enemy, i believe) etc.) in recursion as well, but you can just play around with it if you find yourself intersted in using it. again thanks for reading, not a total expert. i hope both new and non-new players have gained something from this. I'd also add - take a break. After an alert or an hour or so, just go make a cuppa and spend 10 minutes away. I've made the mistake of playing for hours with no break and watching my KDR die due to fatigue. Game is pretty intense.
Man, I really disagree with the making all enemies and allies the same color. It's confusing and really sucks when you have to identify who exactly you're fighting especially if you ever play more than one faction. Don't use the yellow sights, they aren't 100% centered on your screen compared to the other ones. It's been a known bug since release and I don't think they'll ever fix it. When you play medic you should be shooting people then reviving allies. You should have stopped reviving that dude to shoot the person hitting you. When you shoot, make sure you're ADS/scoped in already because if you shoot before that your accuracy is still the same as if you're hipfiring and you have to stop shooting and start again for it to reset. You never really want to hold down shoot unless you're up close or hipfiring because the bullets start moving further and further out and away from the center of your reticle (known as bloom). Burst firing prevents this as every time you stop shooting the bloom resets and becomes accurate again.
Why do the people always say: "Give the bad guys a red colour and your faction green"? I think this is not a good idea. For exapmple if i am vs and there are 2 Sunderers long range i don't know if it is smart to shot them because i know they are shoting each other because they are enemies or if i should run away because they hunt me down cuz they are friendlys. Or in an infantry fight: if there are thousands of red dots, i know thats all enemies. BUT if i would see there are 2 NC harassers driving through the TR chokepoint i knew they are focused on the bigger threat -> the Harasser! I would know I have time to reload my weapon, revive allies that are out of cover or trying to push in their lines and create chaos. All over i think it is better for veteran and new players to have all factions in their faction-colour. it is simple, not very complicate to learn to understand and in many situations very or much more helpful than it would be if all enemies were red. (Dont get me wrong the rest of the video is still nice and has great tips ) :)
Agreed. Definitely worth having correct colors long term, but I just think for most players first play session or two there are so much going on and so many players it’s nice to just know very clearly what is a threat. Definitely not for everyone though. Glad you liked the rest of the tips 🙌

11 tip, if you want to kill other players do it with the most hated class infiltrator xD it a rogue class + sniper class, so you cant be seen, only on 50m players can see you with a transparent figure , YOU ARE NOT invisible like everyone believe , if played other games before so is infiltrator the easiest class to play, all sniper weapons 1-shoot players on-the-head , if you have patient i can just 2shoot on-the-body everyone on a tower building infiltrator can hack turretss and console and have radar gun dot , if you want to know what is going on with the map play infiltrator , you can be seen when enemy are close and you have radar they are easiest the friendiest class to play for beginners that dont understand how planetside 2 works without getting 1-shot by other players when you pop up to look xD 12tip engineer is the only class that have weapons against a max, a ATR (Anti tank Rifle) they works like a sniper and need 2 on head to kill a max and 3 on body and works against vehicles also they need around 10-20 rounds and duh use medic (and use combat surgeon on implant, you get heal 30% back when ress) for easy ass certs and use ress grenade duh.. they can ress everyone 30 players or a player got snipped , you are just asking to be sniped too, or in a grenades spammed dont be dumb to run to it, you get more certs by using ress grenades and heal them back ... - .-
Wouldn't really agree. Infils have low health and can easy be almost instantly killed by pretty much every other class. Also the "invisibility" shield doesn't make you invisible and your usually away from a medic when you die so your KDR is hard to keep up. I found engie was much easier to get certs.
medics have a revive or healing grenade. THATS WHY its being recomnded. It is simpley super easy to get 10-20 even 30 revived with just 1 grenade on the right time at the right place. Moving at open spaces wont help. becouse there are some snipers that are so insanely good that they will kill you even if your moving, you want to get near walls and rather walls that dosent have an open space on the oppsit side. So if your moving to a wall on your east side you dont want open space on your west side. Its becouse that entire area can be an open space for a sniper hit you from. When you move to walls you want to have walls all around you. the tighter space is, the easier it is to move forward with out geting sniped. I my self snipe alot and i kill playes near walls that dosent have protection on the oposit side.
I’ve seen the nades have a massive effect on the battle but actually haven’t used them yet so I didn’t think about the xp deluge that probably comes from it. I’ll get it and try it next time. I’ve sunk waaay to many hours in light assault 😬

I add my two cents: You can also spot while driving a vehicle A little "sorry" message when you accidentally teamkill, it avoids a lot of "friendly" revenge An alternative and good choice to start is also to start as an engineer, to stick to a good sundee driver in f2 or f3, to upgrade your personal turret, to upgrade your ammunition belt (5 mines) and then well on upgrading the level of repair of the sundee ... My preferences; sundee repair in perpetual motion around friendly vehicles, AA Ranger gun in front, Cobalt gun behind, fire suppression ! I often minetrap in passage bottlenecks, 3 mines + 2 mines, that is passive and easy kills ! Vanu Gzzzt, Cobalt
I love these. Especially since vehicles give so much xp, some early road mining could do wonders for your team plus tons of xp. And gunners is especially smart early on when you are still figuring out where to go plus most sunderers need gunners.

Well best to just spend points on whatever you love doing so if it’s lightning go for it. Just generally vehicles upgrades and new weapons are the most expensive which can make it tough to feel like your progressing early on. Try out the sights in the range and then buy the one you like for all your classes. Plus buy the NV 1x for night battles. Good luck 🙌
I don't agree with first tip knowing when and where is third party is one of most important info on map that u can spot, u can use this knolage to farm them when they are beasy or u can use them as decoy for better flanking.

@@Gefardino do we not consider Battlefield a combined arms game? I'm sure with some improvements BF2024 is going to eat PS2 for breakfast in terms of scale and gameplay. And for 2042 there's actual incentive for those improvements because they're not hemorrhaging players.

Best advice for any new players is choosing Vanu..their no recoil weapons are godlike and at night time..u cant even see them for their default dark color suit.
Tip 1: don't play planetside. The game is a janky mess designed by losers and I cannot wait for Halo Infinite and BF2042 to murder it once and for all. Nigh on 10 years and it's still shit. There's no excuse now. Tip 2: avoid the console versions of the game like the plauge. DBG doesn't care at all about the ports and I'd wager they won't even be supported in a years time. - a new, past, and current player
It’s not looking like BF2042 is going to be ending any other games. Wish it was looking better. And I haven’t played the console version but I’d imagine with how complex the UI has to be in planetside it would not be enjoyable. I think for a free to play game planetside is definitely worth every giving it a try. I’ve been playing since planetside 1 and still find it fun, but you definitely have to play it in doses rather than the only game you play.

Best advice for any new players is choosing Vanu..their no recoil weapons are godlike and at night time..u cant even see them for their default dark color suit.

I totally agree on vanu being a great starting faction. Their guns are just so balanced / good at everything

Tip 1: don't play planetside.
The game is a janky mess designed by losers and I cannot wait for Halo Infinite and BF2042 to murder it once and for all.
Nigh on 10 years and it's still shit. There's no excuse now.
Tip 2: avoid the console versions of the game like the plauge. DBG doesn't care at all about the ports and I'd wager they won't even be supported in a years time.

It’s not looking like BF2042 is going to be ending any other games. Wish it was looking better. And I haven’t played the console version but I’d imagine with how complex the UI has to be in planetside it would not be enjoyable.
I think for a free to play game planetside is definitely worth every giving it a try. I’ve been playing since planetside 1 and still find it fun, but you definitely have to play it in doses rather than the only game you play.
