      How long it takes for you to reach b2 level? Because I don't always study and I'm wondering if it will take longer for me

    I have a question. Can you use this structure with the future? Example: After I get home, I will clean the house. Or will that just be structured as: When I get home, I will clean the house.

    Question, war translates as was and umgezogen is past tense, so wouldn't the translation be after he was moved, verses after he had moved? I'm just trying to correlate the translation accurately so I'm not confused.

    • @yourgermanteacher
      @yourgermanteacher  12 часов назад +1

      Was moved would be passive voice which would be wrong. had moved is the literally translation.

      @yourgermanteacher , so war can mean was and had based on the context?

    I think the intended English phrase here is "After I have had breakfast" or "After I've had breakfast". The phrase in the video is not one used in English, as it is mixing up two tenses and meanings.

    • @fang_shi_tong
      @fang_shi_tong 21 час назад

      Luzi wanted to use the English past perfect tense, so that should have been, “After I had had breakfast, I drove to the office.” Or, “After I’d had breakfast, I drove to the office.” A more literal translation would be, “After I had breakfasted, I drove to the office.”

      Yes, correct… almost 🙃

  • @RichardKetchersid
    @RichardKetchersid 8 часов назад

    You address "Past (simple/perfect), nachdem plusquamperfeck." and "Present, nachdem past." Do you also use "Future, nachdem present." ZB. "Nachdem ich mir die Zähne putzen, werde ich zu Bett gehen."
