    I think Dawids 1st run should have had 1st!!! 2nd round was brutal!!! I love how everyone gets along but i feel at this point there just awarding Emil at this point, the riders as well as judges. that last couple years the 2nd run showdown has been almost non existent. I miss when the last few riders battle for 1st not just say that's good enough!!! the teamwork and comradery is great but it is a competition!!!

    • @Ashley-wi4ng
      @Ashley-wi4ng Год назад

      @@toast9958 it was twilight they had held to long because of sun in eyes... like the organizers couldn't of planned for that... and after Rogatkin went down no one else was going to push it cause well they are a little wild but they are not stupid people. Also when you know Emil can just do another trick mirror with the last half pipe since he just did a stylish look back made it pointless. Also he wins cause he is the only one doing a trick normal then OPPO In the same run his runs are more thought out to achieve points then anyone else. This isn't a gymnastics competition it's not all about spins and flips that are antiquated tricks unless there is a variation. Emil manages to do more tricks then all riders while not even tricking the last dirt pipe jump.

    • @incredible5587
      @incredible5587 Год назад +3

      @@Ashley-wi4ng You dont get what i am saying, i am not bashing Emil's riding he rides like a boss. you must not have watched slopestyle before 2 years ago. what i am saying is that each rider goes up and sets the score and the better riders point wise get to go last. so Emils score is set so high a lot of the riders are giving up or just happy wit there run. So we have not got that 2nd round showdown!!!

    • @Ashley-wi4ng
      @Ashley-wi4ng Год назад +1

      @@incredible5587 alot of it also had to do with time of day, there is a reason the second runs were going so bad why the officials think riding into the sunset is smart ill never know. Then rogatkin went down and no one else was going to push after that, but there were plenty of the second runs that were balls to the walls. They were all very rushed though due to time. Also much longer then 2 years, and obviously you can't read cause I only mentioned Emils riding to emphasize the fact he was in 1st and had done a look back on one of the jumps, that look back could of been an oppo anything and he gets another point maybe more. If the oppo he did at end was the mirror of a previous trick and he cleaned up his landings it would of been a 95.

    How to make a 90+ points run:
    -Learn how to whip.
    -Do the same whips tricks changing rotation (maybe some oppo ones here and there)
    -Add one or two bars to change it up.
    -Get your 90+ ez.
    I mean, yeah, combos are nice and that stuff, but when more than half your combos are the same trick in different variations, it gets BORING.

    The consistency of Emil is incredible and I love his style, but c'mon, that was not a winning run, 2nd or maybe even 3rd. Which of course is still amazing, but I think at least David's run was better.
    Imho you need to change the scoring system, maybe divide it into different categories like Execution, Difficulty and Originality. Then both the riders and the viewers could get a better understanding of why a run was better than another one and they would also know what to change up. Currently there is simply too little transaparency.

      @@incredible5587 I couldn't tell in the replay, I thought it was his wrist, but now I know it was his arm. Hope he can recover!!!
