This man , Pavarotti, lives in my soul. I will love him forever!! And ever!!! Attended his concert in Alberta, in 1995. He is forever in my heart❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ He Will be known as most loved Opera Singer, of "All Time"👍👍👍👍👍
Bellissimo!!!
A 46 year old Luciano Pavarotti delights and thrills the audience at the Royal Albert Hall in London. I wish I had been there to hear him. A few years later I regularly went to hear the excellent Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, always one of the best ones around. Pavarotti's voice will continue to bring joy to his legions of fans, even now eleven years after his death at the age of 71. RIP Pavarotti.
I love Mario Lanza so much. His niece, the actress/nun, Mother Dolores Hart, told me that when he sang in her house, they put the delicate glass away because when he sang, he shattered the glass!
We had the incredible opportunity to attend two of his concerts. One at the Oakland Coliseum where we nearly sat up in the rafters, and one at the San Francisco Opera House where we had premium seats beacause we had donated to the Italian Earthquake relief fund. Both were amazing, but the opera house was special and never to be forgotten.
Magnificent. The idol of Pavarotti, Domingo and Carreras and so many others was Mario Lanza. He represented the "benchmark" of passion, love of his art and a fantastic talent to cross over into popular music and the silver screen while being one of the greatest tenors of all time. He was unique and could sing with a truly golden voice. Maria Callas longed to sing with Lanza. The book, A KID FROM PHILADELPHIA, MARIO LANZA, THE VOICE OF THE POETS, captures his dedication, skill and talent in a beautiful series of essays that should be read while listening to Lanza. It will be a great musical experience.
Perhaps the greatest tenor voice ever. However silenced this great tenor has been made, his pancreatic cancer could never take from time, past and future, the volume of his work and the quality of his extraordinary efforts. Sei Benedetto, Luciano. Sei Benedetto.
@@labienus9968 It amazes me more that people who should know better still do not recognize the Lanza genius. Pav's voice is razor-thin in comparison. I know a great deal about opera and operatic singing and Lanza positively influenced virtually anybody who succeeded him, including the Three Tenors. Lanza was very much the real object. Pav was an inept actor and couldn't achieve what Mario did.
@@Mikep487Lanza had a very good voice: but beyond that was a mic voice, a multiple take "Hollywood star" who appeared in hokey movies, who rarely had the nerves or discipline to sing live, or only learned one complete role in his life (look it up), whose waste of talent and potential borders on the criminal-need I say more. I "like" his "voice" too;but he WAS not an opera singer. and that is a fact. Fine you like Lanza-but you might try expanding your horizons. Pav however was the "real object" and I heard him many times in opera, way before 3 tenors and all that. It was a large lyric that was so well produced, carried so well it sounded larger than it was. He was no great actor-but was a natural comic, and knew how to pose in more dramatic roles, which is often all you need to do in opera, if you have a voice like his. (just saw on the Met steam last night L'Elisir-if you think Pav couldn't act-watch it!) As far as MDM-he became a one trick pony-Otello and some Canios and Samsons thrown in-but lost the capacity to modulate his voice, sing softly, sing with color. Anyway Corelli was a far more compelling voice and performer/actor (with one of the greatest tops of all tenors) in the roles they had in common.
@Peter Klein You just gave a perfect encycolpedia style example of sacrilige and hubris with what you wrote... I still remain speechless with Luciano - you can't touch him :)
Who's disputing his talent. But the best ever .... most certainly not! There were many better, such as Lanza, Caruso, Bjorling, Corelli, Gigli and a number of others as well.
The greatest honor/memory of L.P. beholding my wife's tears of joy meeting the great big master (of talent, physical size and most of all heart) in NYC tower Records, was in the shaking of his gentle hand and while grasping his upper arm, as he did same in return with a kiss on her face... with tears in my eyes/pain in my heart and soul then and as in every time I hear or think of him now. The line to meet him when on outside for many blocks, and Towers employee's were frantic to get him out of the store by any means and close, but he waved them off and would not leave that store until 2-3 AM after everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, who came to meet the beautiful soul/him and get as many album autographs, photo's taken along beside him, with handshakes, hugs, and kisses a plenty to last a lifetime of memory. This was one of the greatest outpouring's of love for others I've ever beheld, and transcended any mere musical performance, into a brotherhood of man type spiritual unity in all of us who were there. God bless his great soul for this night of all night's to remember forever!

Perché lo trattavano male in Uruguay?

I have listened to numerous versions of this and Luciano is, in my opinion, the best. Placido Domingo is very well as well.
There has never been a voice like his. Those notes are thrilling.
There was one that was better - Mario Lanza
I love Mario Lanza so much. His niece, the actress/nun, Mother Dolores Hart, told me that when he sang in her house, they put the delicate glass away because when he sang, he shattered the glass!
I couldn't agree more, James. Mario was the best ever, especially at the higher registers. His top was unequalled.
A voice unique in the universe

Beleza de Ária de Ópera.
