When I first heard it thought it was fantastic. Triumvirat has a lot of funs in Guadalajara, Mexico. A great band called Anikan plays it with a guitar solo instead of the synth... really good job!!!
Actually it was! That summer it just scraped the Dutch top 40 at number 37, if I'm not wrong. It was my favorite back then, along with UK's Rendez vous 6.02.
Ah, prog rock and the hitlists. We were young but sooooo out of fashion.! I remember Genesis/Turn it On Again was introduced as nr.1 on the Dutch Tipparade. The very next week the single had failed to enter the Top40, which had NEVER happened before. And hey, I remember (it's all coming back 2 me now) that Genesis-single was freely distributed on plexydisk with a music magazine.
But hey - I bought the single when it came out! It made me a big fan, and I still listen to all the earlier Triumvirat albums. Looking back, this song was a succesful attempt for the band to find a new musical direction: more modern/poppy, less oldschool progrock. I think that with this re-invention they did a better job than ELP (their big example). But the later Rienne Va Plus album was, err... not exactly their best.

Not even a hit in Holland in 1979... This song deserved much, much better!
Think it is "for a fortnight or longer". A flood just after 4 nights of rain seems quite unlikely but 15 days, yes.
