This video brought back lots of wonderful memories. Such beautiful islands and beaches. It is definitely a lot busier than I remember it being 10+ years ago, but would still go back to the The Similan Islands
Hi Connie! That’s so good to hear it brings back wonderful memories 🥰 haha yeah it can be very busy. And can you imagine, this was not even peak season? 😅 but, so beautiful and clean. I’m also pleased that the islands closes for tourists for a big part of the year :) thanks again, have a beautiful day 🏆 cheers!
Nice islands those Chai. A must visit which I was not familiar with before viewing your video. Cheers mate and hoping you and Ilona are now enjoying your current adventure. I am sure looking forward to it via the lens of your camera. Looking forward to the content of the upcoming videos and very Interested to get your impression for sure. It might be a little while yet but well worth waiting for. Cheers champs 🤩
Cheers Steven🏆 a must visit! I do have to say its quite busy tho. It love to check out Surin Islands as well one day 😃 I hope you’re having a great night 😊 cheers
Thank you for the amazing video with so much information. I really wanted to visit these islands. Was going to leave Thailand around the 15h of October but may have to extend my stay so I can visit this island
I just got back from Koh Lipe, said to be the most unspoiled Thai island. Great snorkeling, but the water was not as clear as in your video. So maybe I went to the wrong island! Glad you had a nice trip.
hello Guys! thanks for the info! Do u recommend me to directly book the trip in Khao Lak once I arrive there? I would like to take the 2 day cruising around the island as I practice scubadiving. Thanks a lot!
Ey :) yes, you can easily book it a day ahead. There are many tourists offices/shops where you can buy tours. Make sure you’re not going when the islands are shut due low season 🙏🤗
Great video man, still haven't been there even after all these years, can you actually stay in accommodation on some of these islands, or is it a day trip only from the mainland
Some yes 😃 you can look on Agoda but some accommodation you can only find locally or on Thai Facebook/Websites. Whenever you’re close just ask around as well :)
We told you...😝Similan are amazing and we'll hope you'll discover our fav; Surin islands...Otherwise may be Koh Phra Thong(Golden Buddha island) is still open? Anyway it's always better to choose a early tour (and if it's in yur budget a semi-privé tour).
Hahaha yeah sorry Francis but we need to go back to cost visit Sirin Islands one day. It must be great over there and less busy! We left this area already 😕 but on to new adventure 😃 thanks again mate
Thanks for the video, where did you stay in Phuket? Is it a hotel/villa? How far is it from the Airport? Any reason why this Island group closes down from the 15th of May until the 15th of October each year? Cheers!
Thanks, we stayed in Kata a few times. I also recommend staying in Old town for a night of two to check out the Sunday market. Accommodation is easy to find on Agoda. The island closes to recover nature and also the weather. Due to rain and wilder sea the island are less easy accessible. I hope this helped you a bit ☺️
Another good video Chai. I liked that we had many stops when we were there 2 months ago. It was gorgeous, but for me dreadfully boring only going to one island. Totally agree there are too many people, but hopefully the government will make changes accordingly to preserve the area if it becomes unsustainable. A sad note was the sheer number of IG people who clearly were not in the moment and appreciating the place they were in, but instead had their totes filled with props and outfit changes and spent the entire time posing.
I totally get you! And yeah I do see definitely a lot of people on the islands for pictures and just a bit of off time from their phones. (I have to say including me to make this video so others can enjoy this island via this way 😅) still loved it though 😋 thanks again champ
Khao Lak is the town you wanna stay at night :) This video might be useful if you haven't seem it yet: ruclips.net/video/k42ff17JTS8/видео.htmlsi=pqPTioCGXBuBPab7 Thanks for watching
Hello Chai Travel, the Similan islands are national park, and even with a Thai License to fly a drone, you still are not able to get a license for Similan ! Can you please share how you did it ?

Ow no? When I was there… I doesn’t get much clearer 🤩 I guess it also depends on the current and weather. Cheers Randy
Yes it depends on weather

Sorry to say but you should visit Raja Ampat for the snorkeling or Red Sea in my opinion
Where is the closest place to stay near this island please?

Hello Chai Travel, the Similan islands are national park, and even with a Thai License to fly a drone, you still are not able to get a license for Similan ! Can you please share how you did it ?
I’m sorry. I don’t think you’re allowed to fly in any national parks in Thailand. With or without a license 🙏
Which tour company and how much per person please?
Please check the description 😊
How much is the cost of the trip?
I can’t remember the exact amount but it would have been roughly THB 2.700
Similan/sembilan in malay is nine in english. From Kra Isthmus down to Singapore is the land of the malays. ❤
Do you get see sick easily?
Sometimes I do. Most of the time I focus on the horizon
In malaysia perhentians Island or redang island it’s mort beautiful.

I’ve tried and loved it 😊
Place I saw a bull shark and it try attack me luckily I made to rock
Bull sharks a very rarely find in those waters. Luckily you made it out there alive! 🦈
Just 1 hour from Phuket really?
From the airport to Khao Lak. One hour :)
