Great consensus on John & Joyce. I know some ppl thought Three's a Crowd would have been better had Jack & Janet played the married couple, but I think the audience wouldn't buy it. But I do think that they should of had a better mate/actress for Jack. 'Vicky' was too boring and flat. It didn't match with Jack's chemistry. The woman that played "Linda" for a few episodes of Three's Company would have been better. She went on to play the mother in ALF.
@@kristinesmart9932 You are right. The girl who appeared as Linda in a few episodes would have been PERFECT. The show may have worked if that had happened.
So true. They were the best actors and had great chemistry. I also think this video nails it . I never realized it but its a no brainer. Joyce missing left a huge void . I wish there was more of Richard Kline, he was an underrated side character. But I agree with you, I always loved Janet. And I loved the dynamic between her as Janet with Jack.
Joyce, as I’ve seen her in interviews over the years & even the “reunion” interviews, etc. remains loyal to the memory of her co-workers, the good times of the show overall & her closest friend, John Ritter. Joyce DeWitt is a true Class Act in every way. Thank you for all the fun times you’ve brought to us, Jan--Joyce.
I'm glad they didn't, because so many shows die when that happens (e.g. I Dream of Jeannie). But I loved the sense that you knew that they eventually would.
Having worked with Joyce in four stage productions and after many in-depth chats, I’d say you nailed it with this video. She is one of the kindest, most generous actors on earth and always puts the integrity of the show first. Joyce is always fair and helpful to the rest of us as we rehearse and perform. I can only hope I get to work with her again. Thanks, Dave, on a job well done.

I sooooo love Joyce Dewitt! I met her in Manhattan on the subway train in 2006. She had in sun 👓 and didn't recognize her right away and we had a small conversation. She gave me flowers, I greatly accepted and she said "if anyone ask you who gave you these flowers, tell Janet from Three's Company gave them to you." Immediately, I said " OMG! You're Joyce Dewitt!!!" She smiled away walked away off the 🚆 while I was screaming, everybody that's Janet from Three's Company!!!!
I respectfully challenge that notion. Janet, the character, wanted Jack, only out of desperation. She often lamented about her dates. Her interest in Jack was due to not being able to find anyone else, until Phillip came along. Jack was more interested in taller, more assertive, buxom blonds. Janet was not his type, and neither was Vickie.
They should have had Jack and Janet get married and do a family sitcom. It would redeem some of the sleaze from the show. It would also have been a display of life moving on. If Jack and Janet were on the show Threes a Crowd, it would have been a success. Instead they stuck with the tired old shacking up theme and Threes a Crowd failed as a TV show.
Janet was the alpha, and a great yeller when she needed to be. She could be loving and she could also kick ass. Yet, how often Jack managed to undermine her dignity, so hilariously, because of his own antics.
If Three's A Crowd was about Jack and Janet being newlyweds I absolutely believe it would have been a huge hit. An early version of Mad About You. Abandoning Janet after 8 years was not only a slap in the face to DeWitt but Three's Company fans as well. The producers had a pile of gold in their hands and flushed it down the toilet. It's the television equivalent of killing off Newt and Hicks in Alien 3, an absolute slap in the face to everyone. It's been nearly 40 years and I'm still not over it!
Man, I loved Joyce DeWitt. I never knew the details, but I knew they must have shafted her in some fashion in order to do Three's a Crowd. I'll always remember that last episode of Three's company when Don Knotts made his final exit and paused at the doorway, it looked like Joyce was going to break down and cry. She was such a sweetheart. Thanks for the update on the classy and beautiful Joyce DeWitt, Dave.
Did you know that, at tbe time, Joyce DeWitt was SUPPOSED to have her own spinoff show of her own, I believe. Well guess what? It never came to fruition which was VERY SAD since Joyce is FANTASTIC! She never received the credit she truly deserved! Joyce had graduated with a degree in theater or film or something similar. She said that on that show recently with Suzanne Somers. Joyce also said that she was the consummate professional by making all kind of actor notes on the script. I can respect that because I'm a professional actor too.

The producers screwed over Norman Fell even harder. He was promised if The Ropers didn't do well after a season, him & Audrey could return. But since The Ropers lasted just a couple episodes into the second season, they were under no obligation to take them back. Norman practically begged to be brought back, but no dice. People (in this case the producers of the show) can be total pieces of trash.
DAVID ASSIMIL8 -I totally agree man! I thought she was super hot in the first 3 seasons when she had the curly hair. I thought it looked better than her Pat Benetar wannabe hairstyle. She was still pretty though!😏
@Sal Lizandro I think she was , the show ending anyway that would have been a perfect ending to a great show...🤵👰 them too was there from the beginning ...
I don't mind that Jack and Janet didn't end up together. It was nice showing that a man and woman could be friends without being more. Though the spin off was a terrible idea. Should have ended with Three's Company's finale
both shows are UK shows and so they followed the format of those shows - in the spinoff in the UK version, Robin's Nest, he does not end up with either of the girls in Man About the house
I didn't liked Three's A Crowd at all. John Ritter had no chemistry with the costar's. It would have been better with Joyce Dewitt. I've been watching the Three's Company channel lately on Pluto TV. The best show to binge watch
I liked Vicki but they needed Larry for more episodes other than the one he was on and that father was annoying!! The surfer guy was an odd addition to the show. George Sunga said that Richard Kline (Larry) was offered to come on but he wanted to be the star of his own show and had a pilot he was shooting that didnt even air. I understand, he was on 3s company for 7 years but it really could have used him or someone like him
Totally agree! When they brought in Vicki, they "jumped the shark". I never felt any attachment to her character. I always thought Jack & Janet would have hooked up for a spinoff. They could have also had Chrissy, Larry, Mr. Furley or even the Ropers as occasional guests to bring continuity from Three's Company. A sad ending for a pretty good show.
Vicky was such a bitchy and demanding her way character. No offense to the actress who played her. She mostly seemed to bully Jack into getting her way. Big mistake to not include Joyce.
3 Company was my all time favorite show, and I was bummed when Janet and jack didn’t end up together. I still watch reruns and will always cherish those characters. Great video. Be well my friend.
Your presentation sure brought back some good old memories. I used to watch the shows religiously, without ever skipping an episode. It would bring me laughter and made me forget the bad things that happened in the day. For the next 30 minutes, I was in my own little world enjoying every bit of the show. Even now, I enjoy watching the show on my tablet, in my bed. If people could just set aside their differences and politics, the world would be a much happier place. Life is too short to fight over meaningless things. Have fun and live a happy life. We sure missed John Ritter and may he rest in peace.
Joyce DeWitt is beautiful. I never understood why she was ridiculed and never regarded as one of the television beauties of that time. I wonder whatever happened to her.
The reason she wasn't more highly regarded was because she doesn't have blond hair. Beauty, in Hollywood, was always characterized by blond hair and blue eyes. Dark-haired women are more attractive to me, and Joyce DeWitt was incredibly sexy in a pair of jeans.
Barb Byron Looking back it’s ironic thing is how the TV big wigs screwed over Suzanne Sommers and later in many ways screwed over Joyce DeWitt. She had chemistry with John but the truth is they along with Chrissy and even Terri (and Chrissy’s clumsy cousin,) were all more like brother sisters. They cared very much for each other but I’m not sure a shared romance would have been the perfect way to end the series with these beloved characters..
Agree there were some special moments between the two of them such as in the Season 5 episode: All That Jazz. When Janet's dance Instructor tries to make a play at Janet. And Of course Jack was there for her in the end like any true friend!!😉👍
Another great presentation, Dave! 👍🏻 My favorite lady on Three’s Company was Joyce, hands down. Unfortunately I can’t watch the shows anymore as I can’t get over the loss of John. 😢
@@jdsundstrom you really do have a good speaking voice and when you put the video together with what you say makes me want to see the video cuz I know you say this with such good heart it's like you were meant for this the perfect match
Always had the biggest crush on Janet. I always thought that she and Jack would end up together. Man, did ABC ever drop the ball by not putting those two together! They had awesome chemistry!
Joseph Clegg I don't know what they were thinking. Vicky had no chemistry with jack to be his wife. I suppose they wanted to keep Janet still as a friend and innocent friendship as plotted. probably afraid of Christian attacks??. the show gave everyone the shaft beside Jack. they did seriously wrong. the roapers were the best however don't Knott's was great. you just don't go making changes left n right when original cast WORKED and SOLD. they should have paid Joyce and Suzanne the same salery as jack. at least 90% of his salery.
Always loved this sitcom even love the reruns now... although I never really cared for Suzanne Somers but absolutely loved joyce DeWitt and John Ritter their chemistry really brought this sitcom to life
NO DISRESPECT INTENDED, but the actress they choose to hook up with John Ritter on "Threes a crowd" had ZERO charisma, and it's no wonder at all that the show only lasted a season. I agree that "Jack and Janet" should have been a show, and hey, that would've been a great title.."Jack and Janet!"
Yeah, it seems like they threw Threes a Crowd together kind of quickly and introduced the new characters very late. I agree that Vicky didn't have much charisma. I even thought Jack and Terry would have been better.
I really believe that ABC missed out on having another hit show when they paired John Ritter with that actress (I cant remember her name..sorry!) If they were gonna end threes company and spin these characters off into another show, "Jack and Janet" would've been a natural fit..they kind of threw this new girl at us and, again, she did'nt have the charisma to carry the show, (no disrespect intended.) I think that "Jack and Janet" would've been a smash..but I guess we'll never know..
Jack and Janet were not meant to hook up, period. Neither character was genuinely sexually attracted to one another. That was one of the points of the show. John and Joyce, is different from Jack and Janet, and keep in mind John eventually divorced from his real wife he married and had a child with from the beginning. A romance involving Jack and Janet would not have made any sense because they were'nt compatible for a monogamous relationship. I do agree that perhaps Suzanne deserved a pay increase, and probably Joyce was underpaid too. But the show was cast around John who had the dominant acting background and lineage. I also liked Jennilee Harrison and Priscilla Barnes characters. A season 9 could have worked if perhaps they changed apartments or brought in so other wacky characters.
Nobody was more deserving of each other than Jack and Janet!!!! They both got mad at Suzanne for asking for a raise!!!! The way the producers completely changed Suzanne's character I think she deserved a raise!!!!
Absolutely loved "Three's Company". The original characters were great. Was a huge John Ritter fan. He had such natural comedic talent and was heartbroken when he passed away suddenly. And I actually had a crush on Joyce DeWitt, even though Suzanne Somers was the beauty on the show. Something about Joyce's down-to-earth personality and cuteness that I could connect with. John and Joyce were the steady foundation for the show as other characters rotated around.
Janet was a long-time crush of mine as an adolescent. A wonderfully sweet and quirky personality, real acting chops, and in my opinion she had the sexiest legs on television at the time. Glad to see she’s still doing well.
Janet was My favorite too reminded Me a whole lot of Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island she almost put Suzanne Somers to shame far as beauty was concerned!
yeah, she got screwed...I remember when this happened, this girl pops out of no where and Jack instantly falls in love, yet he's been with Janet all these years...it made no sense and that spin off was horrible and the sad part is...Hollywood still doesn't learn (JOEY anyone, remember that crap?)
I grew up around the corner from Joyce, she was such a talent in high school too always the lead actress. Oh and I got to sit in the stands and dig on her cheerleading as well, always such a sweetheart, life is good; Speedway Sparkplugs...we lived by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
I was about 10 when this show started, and from first to last episode, i was SO IN LOVE WITH JOYCE! She is as gorgeous today as she was then, and if half as sweet as she was on the show, oh, my broken heart! It's funny, I never thought about it, but she is honestly thee woman by which I have held all others up to.
Joyce if you read this i hope you know you and john brought a lot of happiness in a lot of people's lives too bad you didn't married on the show your work on that show will never be forgotten .. i hate Hollywood for so many reasons... thanks again for your great work !
Absolutely spot on. Joyce was my favorite on Three's Company. Just an absolute sweetheart. BTW, I love your idea to do a show or movie together about Janet and Chrissy reuniting after the passing of their good friend Jack.
Yes! Maybe a some sort of reunion movie on Netflix. Joyce and Suzanne being the lead characters...but also including Richard Kline (Larry) and Jenilee Harrison (Cindy).
I always felt the exact same way! I always thought it was the obvious direction the show should have taken, for Jack and Janet to end up together. In fact, they could have simply named the new show "Jack and Janet" which has a nice sound to it. I also always detected that Joyce DeWitt had a real-life crush on John Ritter, so it would have been great to see them together for more years. I think Joyce would have loved that, too.
Yeah, I don't know Joyce's off camera persona or personal life well enough to know if John could be her type or even if John would feel she could be his type. I just always sensed in her eyes and expressions, when doing heart-felt scenes with John, a little bit of a crush and a more meaningful fondness that went beyond friendship. It's very possible, though, that I was reading too much into it and she never saw him as anything more than just a really good friend.
I am soooo happy that Pluto TV has a Three's Company channel. I beng watch it every day. But theirs only a few that I keep missing. But it's okay because I love watching them.
They always pair a blonde with a dark haired girl thinking the blonde is gonna get all the fan love. Joyce DeWitt was the beauty in this show! Gilligan’s Island? MARY ANNE !!
Yes the Betty/Veronica trope. The really hot girl is either dumb, vain, self centered and high maintenance while the plainer girl turns out to be the better deal because she has more than just looks.
That whole Blonde thing was the belief of the 70's and in through some of the 80's. Thinking that the blonde is the best looking just , because of hair color??? (Cough)
Great video! Love 3’s Company so much. Cindy was Chrissy’s cousin not sister. I think Joyce could’ve carried a series on her own for sure. I’m glad she and Suzanne reconciled. Joyce looks great in that final shot! Like an 80s Marlo Thomas.
Dave, lol, at the time, Somers being replaced was like a stake in my heart! Such tragedies are hard to forget. Really loving these 3s Company segments you’re doing 😍👍.
Hey, Christopher, back in the '80s, I always used to think that if a remake of "That Girl" was being done then, Joyce DeWitt would had made the perfect 'Anne Marie'. 👍
This is my first time visiting your channel after seeing your conversation with Rick Nieg and I must say I have been won over. I truly enjoyed watching this video; it brought back good memories of watching this show in reruns as a kid.
I always thought Joyce DeWitt was the main co star that had everything. Thought she and Jack would get together, but the powers of be decided " let's have a crappy show".
No the "powers that be" were a-holes of cutting Jack & Janet apart they should have did a spin-off of their own being married not the 1 that had Jack with a forgettible actress who noboby may not even know anyway she was no Joyce Dewitt!
back in 2002 a year before john Ritter's passing, when he was doing the dating my teenage daughter show, Don Knotts did a short guest cameo, Him and john recreated the scene in threes company where jack and Mr furley got drunk at the party they had and woke up the next morning in bed together scaring the crap out of each other! I think then Mr furley turned to jack and said, "I always knew you were kind of fruity"!!!!! I miss days on tv like that!!!
So.... After the Norman Fell vid the other day I decided to sit in front of Antenna TV and watch a bunch of episodes. Thanks Dave from keeping me from getting work done. Lol
As a Three's Company super fan who has shipped Jack and Janet since I was 12 years old (when I first began watching it on Nick at Nite in 2001), it's so nice to see you mention their chemistry and the hints at a possible relationship. The fact that they didn't end up together will forever be heartbreaking to me. I get that the show was supposed to be about men and women as platonic friends and I respect that, but if that was the aim they did a bad job of it lol. It's particularly noticeable around season 5 and 6. However, I always felt that instead of a spin-off, they should have properly closed the series with them admitting their feelings for each other and leaving it at that. That being said if they went for that spin-off I would not be complaining. I also love that you give Joyce the respect she deserves for being the rock of the show! Thank you! I do want to point out a few things. I try to regularly keep up with what Joyce and the others are up to, and know that her and Priscilla became fast friends on the show and are very close to this day (if you follow Priscilla on twitter, she actually has a podcast and did a chat between her, Richard, Joyce, and Jenilee as a 40th anniversary tribute. These were also the participants for the 40th anniversary reunion special on AntennaTV. Note the absence). I get the idea that all of the living cast stays in regular contact with one another, sans Suzanne. While the "reunion" between Suzanne and Joyce seemed pleasant enough, Suzanne continues to speak poorly of Joyce and the others so I don't see them ever actively working together. That being said, I don't like the idea of them coming back as Janet and Chrissy without John anyway. I've seen that episode of 8 Simple Rules and it was not pleasant. I'd rather choose to believe that Jack Tripper is still alive somewhere. A sitcom with Joyce and Priscilla as Grace and Frankie-like characters, however (non-TC related) would be so fun to see. Thanks for the video. This was perfect. From now on I'm going to refer to Three's a Crowd as the "Janetless Show." What a waste.
I would never get bored of this show I wish it would have continued for years and years. Especially John and Joyce always running into each bumping into each other in the show.
Joyce went to BallState University in Muncie IN, she was truly a girl next door that shined as bright as the beautiful model co star... like Maryann from Gilligan's Island, Joyce was the gal I preferred over the model movie star.
I LOVE Threes Company. Still watch it and have introduced my kids to it. You really seem to have a soft spot for Janet (Joyce) as do I. Glad the show is still inspiring people.
When they all first met, Jack so much wanted to sleep with Chrissy, but I think it was the right thing to do by not having them get together. Besides, Janet was more suited for Jack than Chrissy anyway.
I saw an interview Joyce DeWitt said she went to the producers and ask if they're were spinning Jack Tripper to his own show and they lied to her face that they weren't. I know she was very upset. They didn't have to lie
I recall the computer dating episode as well as the episode with the Ballet teacher whom makes unwanted advances at Janet and of course Jack was there to in the end being true friend to support her as they danced on the ballet floor as the episode fades to black. Very touching episode!!😉👍

@@UrbanRevivalMediaPro I disagree. Jack and Janet had a lot in common. As to divorce, not all marriages fail.
Once Joyce was gone.... It was over! You just can't replace a character like her (original). Godspeed
Janet was the alpha, and a great yeller when she needed to be. She could be loving and she could also kick ass. Yet, how often Jack managed to undermine her dignity, so hilariously, because of his own antics.
Jack and Janet were great together. Vicky was dull and boring. Little wonder why threes a crowd tanked in its first season.
I watched the show from beginning to end and it was great ...for most of it's run. I always liked Joyce DeWitt.
I had a crush on her.
Me too.
@John Beaver Joyce Dewitt was also my favorite on the show as well. I liked her better than Suzanne the gold digger!
Joyce was always my favorite. Pretty, funny, inteligent and absolutely the character that kept everyone else in check.
"Good ole reliable Janet"
If Three's A Crowd was about Jack and Janet being newlyweds I absolutely believe it would have been a huge hit. An early version of Mad About You. Abandoning Janet after 8 years was not only a slap in the face to DeWitt but Three's Company fans as well. The producers had a pile of gold in their hands and flushed it down the toilet.
It's the television equivalent of killing off Newt and Hicks in Alien 3, an absolute slap in the face to everyone. It's been nearly 40 years and I'm still not over it!
When Mr. Furley walked out the house during the last episode, that made my drop a tear as a kid because I knew it was over.
I hate last episode. I cried😥😥😥😥 still cry bc I watch the show every day on Pluto!
Mr. Furley was heartbroken ❤😢
People (in this case the producers of the show) can be total pieces of trash.
classic 🌞
She's still beautiful!
Jack and Janet would have been great together.
Joyce Dewitt always was, and still is, a very naturally beautiful woman.
DAVID ASSIMIL8 -I totally agree man! I thought she was super hot in the first 3 seasons when she had the curly hair. I thought it looked better than her Pat Benetar wannabe hairstyle. She was still pretty though!😏
DAVID ASSIMIL8 Just a natural beauty!
And a total sweetheart! I met her about 8-9 years ago and she was lovely. Very authentic and kind.
I agree. ♥️
Greg Pettis What the hell is that?
I've said it before Jack and Jan should have been married at the end of the run of 3's company
@Sal Lizandro I think she was , the show ending anyway that would have been a perfect ending to a great show...🤵👰 them too was there from the beginning ...
*Janet
Nah, that would have bombed also. The next show would have been a divorce comedy
@@ToddCWiggins it would have been the highest rating show of the network and the next show could have been something like 8 simple. rules
Hear, hear!
I don't mind that Jack and Janet didn't end up together. It was nice showing that a man and woman could be friends without being more. Though the spin off was a terrible idea. Should have ended with Three's Company's finale
Good point, Siaori193. Still, if Jack was going to end up with someone...I wanted it to be Janet!
both shows are UK shows and so they followed the format of those shows - in the spinoff in the UK version, Robin's Nest, he does not end up with either of the girls in Man About the house
Yes!!!!! That's called being rational!
I didn't liked Three's A Crowd at all. John Ritter had no chemistry with the costar's. It would have been better with Joyce Dewitt.
I've been watching the Three's Company channel lately on Pluto TV. The best show to binge watch
I agree 100%
It was stale not thriving enough and boring boring boring
It's also on Antenna tv right now.
Best sitcom to date .
I understand, he was on 3s company for 7 years but it really could have used him or someone like him
Janet was such a cutey on the show. There wouldn't be a three's company without her.😎
people need to realize that even if chrissy stayed jack stayed n janet left it still that show would not have made it as far as when she left
True, and she changed her look so often, which kept her fresh. I guess that explains the nose job for season 8
She was my favorite on Three's Company.
I hated hated hated Vicki! Jack and Janet would have had an amazing spin off show.
Three's a crowd was terrible!!!
RIP John Ritter xo
Totally agree! When they brought in Vicki, they "jumped the shark". I never felt any attachment to her character. I always thought Jack & Janet would have hooked up for a spinoff. They could have also had Chrissy, Larry, Mr. Furley or even the Ropers as occasional guests to bring continuity from Three's Company. A sad ending for a pretty good show.
Vicky was such a bitchy and demanding her way character. No offense to the actress who played her. She mostly seemed to bully Jack into getting her way. Big mistake to not include Joyce.
Kristi_The Fam me too hated how the show ended with her and not wanting to marry made it worst
I very respectfully say that Jack and Janet weren't meant to be together, unless it was prequel to a divorce sitcom.
Yeah I thought she was kind of bossy. There was no fibe.
When I was a kid I had such a big crush on Janet, even now at 43, when I see the re-runs, i still think she was the hottest!

Hey wait a minute, I'm almost 65 years old and I had the biggest crush on her sorry guys yeah she was beautiful on so gorgeous
Still my all time favorite sitcom. I still watch reruns to this day as many of these modern sitcoms just don’t match up.
I always thought Joyce DeWitt was the prettiest. Definitely the "Mary Ann" of the show... and EVERYBODY loved Mary Ann!
You can really say that again because it's the Truth Joyce Dewitt really looked beautiful especially on the boardwalk scenes of the show!
I totally agree she was gorgeous 😍
I was always Team Janet. She looked so good when she was sporting that Joan Jett type short hairdo.
...it was more 'Liza' in '79-'81, more 'Joan' in '82...but you're right....it was THE 'do!
Prettier than Jett.
It's kind of funny seeing the "Helmet"" Mushroom" hairdo of stars of the late 70's it was Uni-sex...and then Joyce goes with the Joan Jett look.
She looked good too in the early seasons with the Joanne Samuel hairdo.
3 Company was my all time favorite show, and I was bummed when Janet and jack didn’t end up together. I still watch reruns and will always cherish those characters. Great video. Be well my friend.
Jack and Janet! That would’ve been the perfect spinoff! Always loved her acting! Thank you Joyce! God bless you!
I'm glad I was able to bring back some good memories, Francis. Thanks for the comments!
@@stonecold7919 You forgot to mention tall. A lot of famous beauties at that time was tall and blond in which Joyce DeWitt was not.
@@wilburmcbride8096 Yes, let's not forget Dynasty's beauty LINDA EVANS.
@Mr.J Yes.
To me the all-time Beauty on TV is Barbara Eden in I Dream of Jeannie..... hubba hubba
Lovely episode , yes I miss 3's company. Sad for Joyce she was slowly pushed out
Barb Byron Looking back it’s ironic thing is how the TV big wigs screwed over Suzanne Sommers and later in many ways screwed over Joyce DeWitt. She had chemistry with John but the truth is they along with Chrissy and even Terri (and Chrissy’s clumsy cousin,) were all more like brother sisters. They cared very much for each other but I’m not sure a shared romance would have been the perfect way to end the series with these beloved characters..
The show would have been a hit if Jack married Janet(in the spinoff)! That was the end everyone would have wanted!
Agree there were some special moments between the two of them such as in the Season 5 episode: All That Jazz. When Janet's dance Instructor tries to make a play at Janet. And Of course Jack was there for her in the end like any true friend!!😉👍

Jake and Janet seems like a good name for a show. Could have brought back the Ropers too in that storyline. That's a hit!
Another great presentation, Dave! 👍🏻 My favorite lady on Three’s Company was Joyce, hands down. Unfortunately I can’t watch the shows anymore as I can’t get over the loss of John. 😢

Joyce Dewitt's character (Janet) was the most down to earth and the most lovable of the threee
Always had the biggest crush on Janet. I always thought that she and Jack would end up together. Man, did ABC ever drop the ball by not putting those two together! They had awesome chemistry!
Joyce was the main person I enjoyed watching on the show Three's Company, she was always the anchor of the show .
Great video. I agree with you Dave. Three’s A Crowd wasn’t the way to go.
They should have kept Janet and ditched Vicky.
I was so pissed when that happened that I refused to watch that crappy spinoff

I don't know what they were thinking.
Always loved this sitcom even love the reruns now... although I never really cared for Suzanne Somers but absolutely loved joyce DeWitt and John Ritter their chemistry really brought this sitcom to life
Thumbs up for the talented and beautiful Joyce DeWitt.
Maybe in some alternate universe, that happened.
@@suzimajor9532 I actually thought they had chemistry but they needed to add in Larry or Janet to help the show
Jack and Janet were not meant to hook up, period.
Janet was always my favorite on the show...
I always thought Janet was the best looking roommate.
I honestly thought Jack and Janet would get together in the show.
Me too.

Wow I loved that show and I loved Joyce's jet black hair it was so hip back in the day.
Very nice video here. Always love hearing about Joyce. A wonderful actress.
They really missed out by not having Jack and Janet end up together. They could've called the show simply Jack n Janet.
They sure did! And, you're right, William. Jack n' Janet would have been a great title for the show!
That actually not a bad idea!!🤔👍

Wood Bruthas and not ginger or Maryann? Lol
Linda Carter as Wonder Woman did it for me.
Same. I loved Janet and Shirley when I was a little kid. Funny because as an adult I prefer blondes and married one.
kragseven I was born after Gilligan's Island's initial run but I grew up watching reruns in the 70's and 80's. BTW, i preferred Maryann.
They always pair a blonde with a dark haired girl thinking the blonde is gonna get all the fan love. Joyce DeWitt was the beauty in this show! Gilligan’s Island? MARY ANNE !!
Facts!
and WKRP? Bailey!!
(Cough)
And too close for comfort

I've always had a crush on Joyce! 40 years later I still do! Lol! Thanks!
I would never get bored of this show I wish it would have continued for years and years. Especially John and Joyce always running into each bumping into each other in the show.

Janet was gorgeous! Were we all blind? I think a lot of the focus stayed on Chrissie.
When they all first met, Jack so much wanted to sleep with Chrissy, but I think it was the right thing to do by not having them get together. Besides, Janet was more suited for Jack than Chrissy anyway.
