Thank you for such a wonderful piece. I was born in 1964 and Charlie Brown Christmas has been a part of every Christmas for me. Lucy came across as out spoken but she loved Linus and the others. Watch and see how she goes after him early in the morning from the pumpkin patch and puts him to bed when he was freezing out there. Just as one example. Lucy Is really sweet and now after seeing this piece how could she be anything but given who voiced her. Thank you so so much for being a part of this beloved Christmas special. ❤
Tracy Stratford also played a bully who picked on Ritchie Petrie on DVD SHOW, and she made 2 TWILIGHT ZONE appearances as the "Little Girl Lost" in another dimension and the girl who owned the murderous "Talky Tina".
I grew up with the TV specials and the comic strips. I loved all the kids, and it is fascinating to think the voice actors for them are all adults living mostly oblivious to their role in pop culture history. I'd love to see a reunion of all the voices.
What a delightful interview ! Thank you SO much for sharing ! The lovely & talented Tracy Stafford comes across as SUCH a sweet, kind, funny & smart lady ! And to know she's become a school librarian & is helping mold young minds is wonderfully heartwarming ! A shame her voice changed too much for her to continue in the role.. :-(
Lucy was so funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 . So greet to see the woman behind the voice of a classic kids cartoon . That’s touched countless lives and still continues to do so
I was born in August 1965 and they were making A Charlie Brown Christmas at the time I was born. My first exposure to C. B. Christmas was in Kindergarten (1970) and the big red picture book they had in the classroom. 😃
I have always had the highest regard for Tracy Stratford. After her voice changed, the role went to Pam Ferdin, who voiced Lucy in a number of specials. As earlier posters have written, she was pretty prolific in television. I've spotted her in The Twilight Zone, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Rawhide , My Three Sons, and even the occasional Girl Scout selling cookies to Ozzie Nelson in The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriett. I've heard a number of audio interviews, but it was great finally seeing her sharing her memories on screen.
"The cast includes the voices of Peter Robbins (Charlie Brown), Christopher Shea (Linus), Tracy Stratford (Lucy), Sally Dryer (Violet), Karen Mendelson ..." I'll give you a few years to figure out how Google works.
@@armybeef68 I think OP was saying that there was no credit sequence with voice actors’ names in the original presentation. Perhaps you could come up with a snarky insult for me as well.

I love everything about this. Thank you for sharing it.
Lucy Van Pelt was my favorite next to Snoopy. Hearing her and now meeting her online made my day!

Thank You for the info. I would have never known ❤

Adding, Sally Dryer hopped in the role after Tracy's departure.
Lucy’s is a good girl

Better tha shakespere 👍
Excellent
Is this Pamelyn Ferdin?
No
This is Tracy Stratford, the original voice of Lucy.
Pamelyn Ferdin was the third actress to voice Lucy
It’s kind of tough to tell them apart sometimes. They are all great!
Pamelyn Ferdin's best role has to be in the original "The Beguiled" with Geraldine Page and Clint Eastwood, before Dirty Harry
No
I'm surprised with technology there is even such a thing as a librarian anymore.
Might have been interesting to ask the BIGGEST question.........Why are you no longer acting. duh
I never liked Lucy. She was basically a horrible person.
