It immediately exchanges as many pawns as possible... sigh.
As a thought, how about doing these matchups again, but this time give the Amazons to the black side? Maybe the standard pieces can do a bit better with first-move advantage.

I have a very hard time understanding why of all moves black estimed thoses were the best options 2:09 just why? didn't threatened any piece, no longer protected a5, b8 and d4 and it was dangerous for white to move an amazon to b5-b7 2:11 h2 amazon threatened d6 knight and would have put king in check , but could be defended with e4 knight 2:14 g5 pawn could have taken f4 pawn, might have been trade back by h2 or e2 amazon but then traded back again by d5 knight (or the opposite), yes this would have left b4 vulnerable but that's still better to get ride of so many menaces than just letting white place every amazon in deadly positions and just loosing 2 pawns on top of e2 now threatening e4 (and e6 if e4 moved) 2:20-2:26 : white already pretty much won at that point The more I look at it the more I see black was in quite a deadlock, but still feel like accepting to loose 4 knights for 2 amazon would have been better than letting itself getting slowy killed by wanting to protect every knights at once. I really don't see how b4 was a good idea, it was no longer defending d4 (and e6 must defend f8 ) and d5 was forced to defend b4 Dunno seem pawn a5 or f4 would have been better or instead following knight b4 with pawn c2
Engines don’t understand these types of positions. Too many pieces with too many possible unorthodox moves. They just weren’t designed for this type of scenario. A neural learning engine like Leela would probably play much better than stockfish once it got used to the new scenario.
For the first move Amazon can’t jump over pieces vertically so b5-b8 are out of the question and the knight is actually really annoying there because it doesn’t allow the Amazon to do too much and if it goes to a5 you’re fine it’s not going to do anything as all the knights block it’s path. Knight e4 loses a knight cause there’s a pawn there and it takes back you go in and trade off 2 more knights for one Amazon and initiate an attack it’s not a bad move at all and the response of not taking back the pawn is dumb engines don’t like these positions so they not analyze well but for sure more analyzing by a human helps and think that the moves weren’t too bad
This is so easy to me win Stockfish 14 playing with bishops against me Because i know the point: choose one color then start trade single color bishops with your Queen then strike with dark squares

Absurd. The AI is being so bad. Clearly the 15 vs 7 knights should have won. It wasted a bunch of moves just moving around uselessly when it should have spent those moves taking pieces and trading down. What weaksauce version of stockfish is this controlling them?

@@watchdogbypass I believe 32 bishops defeated 32 knights. Once a few pieces have been exchanged the bishops are much more powerful.
