Heck Deck is a bullet hell card game where all the bullets are cards and time only progresses as you move. Explore 5 stages full of unique enemies and bosses, discover dozens of cards, and visit shops to buy and sell cards for health!

Somewhere between a bullet hell and a card game…
Throughout 5 different stages, Heck Deck will challenge your precision and dexterity during the bullet hell phases and your strategy when using your cards. Each card you pick up will cost you at least one life point, so you will have to be careful about which ones you pick on your way.
The abstract and minimalist world of Heck Deck is created with a cute hand-drawn art style. Each level of the game has its own universe, its own music, its own set of enemies, and of course, its own boss.

I think the bottom right is damage and top left is cool down
In case you still don’t know, the “spiky shield” is a red card. Red cards are used for destroying bullets. The spiky shield is for shielding bullets.

Pretty sure the red cards don't damage enemies but they will get rid of cards on the screen. So, if I'm correct, the spike shield would probably absorb damage from cards when you run into them.
19 minutes in, here's my understanding: blue cards=damage to enemies; green=healing; red=bullet destruction; bottom right corner=how much ouch; top left corner=how long until you can play another card

I had a game concept somewhat similar to this, it was a bullet hell where you take on the element of the bullets you hit, so there was some intentional damage in that game. I know a little wisp looking dude is kind of generic but im getting a lot of the same vibes. Id love to think I somewhat inspired this game, I doubt it but its like menially possible.

It looked like the holo card you first picked up had the advantage of costing no cool down time, otherwise it was just a speedy bullet card!
I feel like 2021/2022 is the year of combining Rogue Lite and card games with literally every other potential genre of game. So many unique combinations I never even thought of. Next we need a rogue lite dating simulator, lmao
