I was at the game in Anaheim in 1985 when Gary Pettis made the catch that robbed Jesse Barfield. I was in town from NYC for a student conference & my second cousin took me & a classmate to the game. 21:12
These original Mel Allen-narrated TWIB broadcasts are the good stuff! Us pseudo-historians can study the game during a special time (late 70s-early 90s) before the game was altered before with the PED revelations.
It still warms my heart to hear Mel Allen's voice and the theme music to TWIB. An absolute classic show!
Thank you for these videos! You've brought me back to my childhood. Life was great back then.
I lived for this as a kid
Me too! I remember watching with my dad on a 13" black & white Zenith tv on our deck right before a Yankee game in WPIX NY
