    It looks like an original and interesting design. I believe this vehicle has numerous kits like its predecessors. Now, slap a 40mm turret on top of this thing and let it compete with other legends. Although I think visual systems are bit old (which is no problem at all in 2021), the interior is very specious for its armor capability. Definitely can be upgraded into a beast with minor adjustments

    Can anybody tell me about why they choose these big airbags which takes so much space on each side of this vehicle and why they dont choosed hydropneumatic suspension system? What is the advantage of the air suspension system, is there an advantage? And does anybody knows, if there are already customer of the Pars 8x8 or 6x6? I dont mean Malaysia, that i know already, they created an own design of the PARS.....

    • @barrywaynehill
      @barrywaynehill 9 лет назад +7

      zeropcanopy Okay as former grunt who then worked in the hydraulic manufacturing industry I'll break down the hydraulic suspension system vs air suspension system for a combat vehicle. With hydraulic system you have a fluid doing the job, now put that system into a combat area no matter how good the system is build damage can happen & will. So its damaged your fluid is leaking yet not only does that effect how your equipment functions it very well is likely leaving a trail & even if you can fix the leak you have to have replacement fluid to put back in the tank which cause's you to use space to carry that extra fluid and space is key point for military vehicle. So a air system will weight less no need to carry extra supply, system damage does not let hostile forces track you or left them know your damaged Oh and unlike hydraulic fluid oil, air does not have the fire hazard part oil can. So there's a simple break down of the two systems, yes hydraulic is more powerful than air yet for what a army is doing carrying troops air system is powerful enough to do the job well.

      Harrell Berryhill What do you think is the cost of one of these honeys? Say if you're a well heeled survivalist and wanted the troop carrier system converted to provide a bunk, toilet, and at least something resembling a closet, how much should the would be buyer come up with? This honey would be just what the doctor would order. And I floored with the amphibious capability.

      Harrell Berryhill All right. Does that figure include the conversion to a, for lack of a better word, "travel trailer," or even better, a "survivalist trailer"? I won't be a potential buyer. But let me say this. If I had that kind of money, I'd be a customer. I think I would stand a chance of surviving with this great ingenuity. Thank you.

    • @barrywaynehill

      Jay Young I imagine that the company would configure your own personalised 8x8 to just about any thing less any weapons mounting ability. I mean you plop down $6 million cash you can get most anything.

    A shame to call this a "Infantry Fighting Vehicle". It's only protected
    against 7.62mm, the vietnam-era M113 had equal protection, and it was an
    APC! The suspension system in this one leaves no space for proper
    protection.
