It took great efforts to create a short food video. Keep up the good work and thank you! Hope in the near future, there are more food videos on kl outlets.
I live overseas and watching your videos remjnds me of the delicioys Malaysian foods I miss. I am glad you speak in Cantonese as that is the common dialect used in KL and PJ. I prefer Cantonese than Mandarin, as there are many non Chinese educated who do not understand Mandarin, like me.
Watched all recent vlogs n luv it. Very entertaining n informative. I used to stay at SS2 decades ago but now residing at the southern tip of West Msia so currently can't visit the eateries u showcased. I luv food so hopefully will make a trip to PJ when the pandemic ends or when it's safe to travel. Stay safe.
Good job Elmo Lee. Taken note of where to go get & the dishes you hv singled out to try. Can u do a video on those special noodles like Mee Jawa, Lam Mee etc. There’s a good one in Uptown corner coffee shop operated by an uncle from Penang to start with. Thank you 🙏🏻
This is my first time watching your content. While I won't say these are the best recommendations because mixed rice is rather subjective. Normally people will go for mixed rice due to the price and the convenience to their office / home. Well, at least to me la. But I really enjoy your content. I like how much effort you put in especially all the B rolls you take. And the history at the start amazed me. Bravo. 👏👏👏

The whole of 70s u can buy CKT, wantan mee for 30 cents. Hokkien mee for $1 and mixed rice with 3 items for only 80 cents. The average teachers pay back then is $250
mixed rice in chinese community has been a long history especially the Teo Chew people. in the older days most people eat at home, so only few dishes even in small town. chinese eating history has always about choices even back in those days. in Klang Valley it started growing when outstation student came and chinese don't just eat wantan mee, laksa etc for every meal and always wanted more varieties. nothing to do with Mamak food or lauk. Teo chew people started way long ago. also origin concept has never same as buffet, none will know buffet concept back in 70's 80's
Actually, economy rice/mixed rice in Ipoh are taken by the staff/owner of the stall. You can't take it yourself. I actually have a bit of surprise when I need to take it myself when I start living in KL around 10 years ago. Not sure if Ipoh still keep the same way or not since it has been a while since I have any chap fan in Ipoh.
