Been a Giant fan since early 80s,, this thing been a headache,, even worse when asked for 45 millions last year that was a ridiculous,, am still upset,, hope some illumination and draft a first round QB
I'd heavily argue against your Herbert take. Herbert is going to be 26 next season and has proven he is a game changing QB. He is the reason they've won 95% of their games, and not the reason for most if not all of their losses. Saying he could've played better in some of their losses is asinine. Mahomes and Andy Reid ruined QB expectations by winning 2 rings before he turns 30. Peyton didn't win a ring until year 8, and didn't have a playoff win until year 5. Elway won his only rings in his last two years of the NFL. Trent Dilfer and Rex Grossman were QB's for Superbowl teams.
@@Robuu exactly. What’s wild is the herbpervs are always the first ones to claim winning isn’t a QB stat to defend herbert and the fact in 4 seasons he has an under .500 record yet turn around and say “they win because of him” immediately contradicting themselves and turning wins into a QB stat all the sudden as you said “when it’s convenient”
Chargers will continue to charge. A lot of money to a young qb who is great but won joe many playoff games in his career? Main problem is overpaid qbs throughout the NFL. Chiefs & Mahomes are starting to fall apart like the Seahawks & Russ when they couldn't keep the legion of boom intact. Daniel Jones getting paid monster top tier money winning a single playoff game. We are in an overpaid qb era with running backs underpaid and what do we have a league of weak/mid teams with coaches worried about analytics instead of personnel and teams put together like they are playing madden... who can't put complete 60 minute games without senseless errors and mismanagement. I would say the disappointment I have is in virtually this entire league and season. But nothing will change bc ratings are as high as ever.
I'd argue that the Panthers have had the worst season. People thought they would be a fringe playoff team in a weak NFC south. Now it looks like they took the wrong QB, they once again fired their coach, their owner has made the job vacant coaching job undesirable, and the #1 overall pick is probably going to Chicago.
I mean Sean Payton isn’t doing so good at coaching himself I’d say you guys dodged a bullet the Sean Payton is insisting on cutting Russell Wilson even though he has better stats than Patrick Mahomes this year
Disheartening to see how the chargers have performed since we’ve entered the Herbert era. He deserves his money 100% , but with him being paid now, our biggest contributors going forward are most likely going to have to be players we draft because of this cap situation & he’ll have his 3rd head coach in less than 6 years. Really feels like I’m watching Philip Rivers 2.0. Chargers will always be the chargers smh
He deserves the money sure, but I think something that a lot of good quarterbacks are going to have to realize is that in order to have a great team and good O line they are going to have to take a cut like Brady and the patriots did-- if the QB's salary is 25% of the cut it's going to make it hard to get a lot of other great players
Terrible coaches and no playmakers. Not Herbert’s fault. Plus AFC has been much better than NFC is entire career. While he will be a HOF, winning a chip while playing against Jackson, Mahomes, Allen, Burrows, and Tua in Miami makes it much harder. Name a good QB in the NFC other than Purdy? If Herbert switched conferences, than he might win a chip.
the saddest one from this list for me is the Bengals. They were so close to winning a super bowl so recently, and now look at them. Hopefully this is just an off year, and they'll kick it back to high gear next year. definitely a "wasted" year of the "bit three" prime
Definitely an off year. The offense started to click midseason while Burrow was healthy. They got good wins against the 49ers and Bills but after Burrow’s injury it seems the team as a whole took a step back. They’ll be back as SB contenders next season but I question if Higgins will still be on the team or not.
As a Giants fan, I love Brian Daboll. He is not the problem, the roster is. He should not be the one under the magnifying glass. Love the videos, keep it up.
Our ST and OL coaches need to go. Andrew thomas being out half the season really hurt. And the first six weeks, playing the cowboys, 49ers, dolphins, bills, and seahawks tainted how we looked for the whole league. Before the season started, did anyone really think we were gonna beat those teams? Last year set the bar too high because we overperformed. This year is not a failure.
If you take a look at the game film, his offensive schemes are amateur at best. His blocking concepts are high schoolish. His complete and I mean COMPLETE inability to make half time adjustments is pathetically obvious. His clock management was rated the 2nd worst in the league. His offensive playbook ran a total of 4 plays that used motion to determine coverage Pre snap! 4 times!!! Most teams run Pre snap motions variations of up to 20 per game. He had a lead against the jets and decided to not even throw the ball one time with his backup QB. He never used his fullback or TE to help the left tackle with blocking even though his pass plays only had 3 progressions so keeping them in to block wouldn’t take away anything. He also is disliked by the locker room. Also, Rex Ryan was breaking down his game tape and said by playing a base cover 3 defense, you can take away 80% of their playbook. I can keep going but pathetic is pathetic. Be honest if your a giants fan. He will never lead the team to anything. He is a bad head coach. He doesn’t have enough discipline to stop losing his emotions on the sideline. And to top it off…hate to say it but if you can’t discipline yourself enough to stop eating until your obese at his age, it pretty much sums up him in a nutshell
@@carbiv I genuinely believe that if hadn't blown the leads against the Jets and Bills, plus if we played the Raiders now, we would've won those games and been fine. The Giants don't not have talent on our team, our defense is top 10, (I know the stats don't agree with that but skill wise and how our players are performing when they have momentum it definitely is.) Daniel Jones CAN work as QB he just needs time in the pocket. Anyone who saw any of those games he played this year and saw him get sacked almost 10 times per game and thinks he is the issue are idiots. The Giants just need a good WR1 (Hyatt is too underdeveloped and Slayton is too inconsistent) and o-line to be good again
@@9pinertt87 Bro 😂Holy fuck you are out of your mind. Daboll was coach of the year last year. Some of the playcalling is on kafka, but ur right, he's not a perfect coach. Im okay with that. Giants fans have had some pretty shitty teams in recent memory and I think most of us are okay sticking with the guy who took a rebuilding team to a playoff win in his first year. The giants have a lot of problems, sure, but lets not act like that is unheard of in the NFL. A lot of teams have problems. Let us enjoy the coach who has given us our best chance at winning since Coughlin. Besides, ur point about his weight is kinda insane. Is Andy Reid a bad coach bc he's fat? I mean even try and say that with a straight face.
Cincinnatian here. I agree with that assesment and wanted them to rest Burrow to start the season. The other issue is that in those games he was injured, Taylor refused to run the ball consistently, when Mixon requires consistent touches to be effective. This whole sesson was mismanaged and with Tee's payday looming, it was clearly a wasted year. Hell, Ravens would have been there again, but Chiefs look mortal this year, and the Bengals wasted that opportunity window to another Super Bowl.
I grew up with the Bengals as my second favorite team (grew up obsessed with tigers, and the Bengals are well...very tiger themed) and going to the SB in 21' might ironically have been one of the worst things to happen to the Bengals. Gave the front office another reason to keep Zac Taylor
I'm a Bills fan so I'm definitely biased, but when I see videos discussing the lack of success for good QBs, I'm reminded of how much crap the media gave Allen early in his career. And that's not to say I think other QBs should get more criticism, I'm glad they're getting the benefit of the doubt. It's just that so many people thought Allen would be a bust, he never received the benefit of the doubt for his first few seasons, as everyone was waiting for the other shoe to drop. He's not the only one that has had this issue though. Even QBs like Hurts or Lamar have been heavily doubted at various points. I feel like we have to accept that QB isn't the only position that matters on the football field & that all QBs don't develop into All-Pros immediately. /rant 😅
This isn't really a new phenomenon, but it has become a greater point of stress in the modern, pass-focused NFL. Very few QBs come out of college immediately ready to succeed at the highest level; however, as the QB position faces more stress to perform the lion's share of the offense, it becomes a far greater concern to a team when a QB isn't panning out in a hurry. There is a lot of pressure now to find out whether one is good before their rookie contracts are done, too.
@dreamer5687 Sure, but he wasn't supposed to start either. Dumb dumb Sean McDermott named Nathan Peterman the starter, cut AJ McCarron, and began the year with only 2 QBs on the roster (Allen as the backup). But Peterman was so terrible immediately, he made the switch to just let Allen get experience. Also, remember who he was throwing to: Zay Jones, Robert Foster, fat Kelvin Benjamin, and Jason Croon...
I can never understand the Justin Herbert Criticism. He’s a fantastic qb on a horrible team. Chargers fans need to see what he can do on a halfway decent team. As a Steelers fan, I would do unspeakable things to have Herbert.
Herbert has literally never had a 3+ int game, if you go through his "ints" they are usually either the reciever giving up on a route to early, it hitting thier hands and bouncing off, or its a hail mary like play at the end of a half / game. Put him on any team that isn't cursed like the chargers and they are superbowl contenders. Like imagine him on the steelers, or jets, or broncos
That bengals take was such an overreaction. The bengals are fine. Chase is 23 Higgins is 24 bengals have plenty of cap space & burrow got paid. The bengals are actually getting better still cause they getting young on defense & Zac Taylor has improved as a coach going 3-1 with Jake Browning
It was just a huge mistake to play Burrow for those first 4 or 5 games, he was still hurt and everyone could see it. Everyone wants Burrow to play another 10 years in the league, but running the risk that they did this year because the coaches and front office want to push for a superbowl NOW was incredibly short sighted.
@@NickTheNickname the coaches & front offices should have told Joe burrow now he don’t need to play but they let him which was a mistake but this year was not a waste year imo stuff happens he just got hurt. When burrow plays a whole season AFC championship game we’re presented & 1 SB appearance
Bengals need to start drafting and emphasizing an offensive line. They can't compete with the AFC north if they can't win in the trenches. 0-5 vs division this year and likely 0-6 unless browns rest guys
I think Chris Simms had Daniel Jones #8 QB ranked in his QB rankings. Lost a lot of respect for his football acumen with that analysis, cause it was obviously a bias choice, his dad played for the Giants. As a Cowboys fan, I was extremely happy they payed him.
Maybe Herbert is not the mega elite people have built him up as....25 is far from prime either, ridiculous. He has a couple more years to get into the 27-37 range. See Flacco lately?
Herbert literally be carrying chargers with zero help and they still lose games. You put herbert on the chiefs he’d be producing a great offense, maybe not as great as mahomes but herbert would be viewed as great on any other team. Hes way better than the chargers make him look like, and I know cuz i watched him at oregon and he still plays really well like in college
Herbert is literally how Stafford was on the Lions. Very good to great QB with a single stud receiver, but little to no help otherwise and with a contract that makes it nearly impossible to get real help. Almost always keeps his team in the game, but constantly let down by the defense. So, in other words, a great fantasy QB who won’t taste a Super Bowl until he’s traded away to/leaves via free agency to a contender in the last few years of his career. @@willphilp2610
I wouldn't say Dan Jones is the problem with the Giants. He's alright, not the best or the worst. The real problem is that offensive line. No QB should be sacked as much as Giants QBs have been this season.
Here’s a takeaway, Ron is arguably the worst head coach in the league, and Washington’s ownership just sold out sam Howell because they wanna save face with Ron.
The Herbert take is genuinely so bad. Are we simply going to undermine the cancer that was Brandon Staley and his coaching decisions? Horribke defensive play calling, Very questionable 4th down calls, and an unwillingness to admit his own wrongdoings. Herbert is far and away the best thing to happen for that team.
@@FootballAnalysis1but what did he do to deserve to get paid? And once he gets paid shouldn’t expectations be higher even if there’s a bad coach or defense?
I wish people would stop with all the excuses for Justin Herbert. An “Elite” QB but hasn’t lead his team to any meaningful wins. Lost a 27 point lead to the Jags.
Daboll isn't the problem either, being hamstrung by an ineffectual QB with a massive contract and other poor personnel choices is. Not too mention, sometimes a roof just caves in...been plenty of star studded teams that don't do jack squat.
If there were a 5th team added to this vid it'd have to be the Broncos. Terrible year all around. They'd take a step forward, then 2 steps WAAAYYY back. In fact, a whole 10 minute video could be produced just discussing their woes. Russell Wilson contract has proven to be a HUGE albatross.
As a giants fan other then the cowboys games I have really liked our defense as its young and has gotten so much better throughout the season. On the other hand the offense makes me want to die
@@NickTheNickname offense fumbled leading you at our 7, offense also threw a pick 6 so excluding these the Seahawks scored a whole 10 points and that field goal was only because of a pick leaving you at our 45. I’d say holding your offense to 10 points is not that bad at all
I can say a lot of negative things about Daboll this year but his sideline eruptions are nothing new. He's always been like that. It's a bit Belichickian, "do your job."
@@switchblade6 It's not like he only erupts with negativity either. He shows a lot of positive energy on the sidelines as well, that's just less often shown. When something goes well you see players celebrating, when something goes wrong you see coaches fuming. Daboll wears his heart on his sleeve around his players.
Im a ravens fan but i think hebert is a really good qb. I mean i hate to say this but i think its just the chargers lol. You guys have had some insane teams over the years. I remember growing up and watching LT and rivers in some insane games. Idk man. Its kinda like the cowboys or bengals last 20 years. Just missing like one piece.
Who? & forget him: did anyone see the *other* revelations about McDermott that came out with the horrible Inspirational Analogy? We already knew he'd taken over the play-calling & lost a game in only thirteen second. A playoff game. But he also threw away the game earlier this year against the Eagles possibly costing them a playoff berth after having the lead twice. He also took over & threw away the game against Cincy last season. Again, a *playoff game.* This guy is costing his franchise playoff games, ticket & merch sales & Still Has His Job all because teams' owners have No Idea what makes a good HC then hire someone they like, then become afraid to fire them because they're not sure they won't hire someone identical as their replacement because they still don't know what makes a good HC. I mean this guy's wasting more talent than _Staley!_ Imagine the Bills winning this much *despite* him?
I would guess commanders trade down, acquire picks & take an offensive/defensive lineman, roll with Brissett/Howell for another year and take a QB in the next draft
If you want yeah but I never said that. What I said was IF they beat Buffalo or Philly in weeks 3/4 and start the year 3-1 they could go on a run and start off 6-2 and effectively run the football and play good defense into a 10-7 or 11-6 record. They never beat Buffalo or Philly and in the process also traded two good pass rushers for pennies on the dollar which was a terrible decision.
@@FootballAnalysis1 You're right. I double-checked and you did say that, if they split the Bills and Eagles, you think they'll be a team nobody will want to play. It did seem like you were hyped up on their receivers and running back, but I did misremember and oversimplify your statements. My bad, dude.
Could you do a video on the bengals? As a fan I have a lot of critiques on the team and felt like they did not do anywhere near good enough last offseason
So the chargers let herbert down? With melvin gordon Austin ekeler, keenen Allen, Mike Williams, corey linsley and rashawn slater, drafted a wide reciever in the first round this year! Stop making excuses for him he under 500 in 4 season
No way you just mentioned Melvin Gordon😂😂that’s how I know you don’t watch charger football. Anything you say is invalid. That receiver they drafted is absolutely dogshit and a bust, Corey Linsley is out all season and has been since week 1, Williams been ot since week 3. It’s Herbert, Allen, and ekler out there. One good o lineman makes almost zero difference. Not to mention Austin ekler has been trash this year averaging 3.2 ypc. Just stop
@@katza831 Dan fouts. A chargers qb. It’s a team stat, not a player stat. Peyton manning at this point in his career had almost the exact same stats as Herbert, also no playoff wins. You can’t use wins and losses as a metric for how good a qb is, especially when you combine that qb with one of the worst defenses of all time and arguably the worst head coach in the league. GTFOH.
As a Saints fan I would honestly do a lot of things to get a head coach like Daboll he holds his players accountable at the very least and definitely isn’t afraid to say what needs to be said but Loomis only allows men with no backbone to work in that organization
@@spidamitchell8311 oh yeah that's right he did get one of those ridiculous contracts! I don't feel sorry for him at all now. However it is a freaking shame that a team that needs to rely on Kyle doesn't seem to even engage the man. He should be the "new era of tight ends" right now and the talent on the falcons roster is built around the run game and has a rookie QB which both need a TE for success. It makes no sense just like the Titans offensive playbook and play calling.
For me, one of the biggest losers of the 2023 season is...The New York Jets and their fans! This was supposed to be a season of hope for the Jets, and, well, things went as badly as they could possibly go. The franchise is still in purgatory for another year. Also, unfortunately, I would like to nominate Trevor Lawrence as one of the biggest losers of the 2023 season. I thought that he was going to make the leap into the Mahomes-Allen-Burrow tier of QB's. Unfortunately, that has not come to pass.
As a long time Atlanta resident I have to think the Falcons were one of this years biggest losers. The team has talent in multiple positions and a defense that kept most of their games close enough to win but the just couldn't get out of their own way to do it. If ever there was a year they were going to steal a division title and playoff berth this was the year it was going to happen. Now it looks like another losing record, another year at home during the playoffs and a lot disappointment. The coach needs to go, they need a QB and they probably need a GM since this has been a problem they have not addressed since the end of the Matt Ryan Era. The team plays in a beautiful stadium and has a great fanbase but the team hasn't been worthy of either this year.
I’m confused about why you’re saying the Bengals bad year was predictable from the start. Maybe I missed something, but the only reason I heard you give was that Burrow got a big contract, which I think you said was “ultimately” good for the Bengals.
The Bengals are still in playoff contention and have been performing well with a backup QB. He just had a TERRIBLE game as of late, when Burrow comes back next season and hopefully healthy the Bengals will go right back to their winning ways. During the stretch Burrow was healthy he posted the best QB numbers and led them to what 3-1, 4-1 record. Sports media has become an overreaction to garner views. Herbert is massively overrated as well however he didn’t waste his prime…hes not even in his prime…that’s usually like 6-8 years into your career. They wasted his rookie contract opportunity sure but not his prime. They are in deep shit with their cap space moving forward however. Be interesting to see what they do.
Ravens fan here. The Bengals let Perine walk and relied on Mixon to keep Burrow upright. Zeke or Lenny would have cost nothing in the current RB market.
@@thek3289 letting go of Perine was dumb. I’ve wanted mixon replaced for bout a season or two now. He’s just not as explosive as he used to be and with how bad the bengals oline is I think they need a solid power rusher and a guy bigger and not as elusive and rotate chase brown in for receiving.
Without even watching your video, I’m already rolling my eyes just because of your thumbnail. Herbert hasn’t even gotten to his prime yet 😂😂 QBs generally don’t even hit their primes until their late 20s. Even Jared Goff has just gotten into his prime the last couple seasons.
I honestly feel bad for Sam Howell, and I’m worried this might turn into a Mac Jones type situation. A QB with tons of potential getting thrust into a bad situation and losing all confidence. Only difference is Howell actually has weapons to throw to which is why he has really good stats so far but they can’t win games on that alone. Their O-line is abysmal and trading away their two top defensive weapons has left their defense floundering. I’m not saying Howell doesn’t have his flaws but I really hope for his sake they help him out this off-season and fix that trash Oline.
Okay how did cincy waste a year of chase and higgins by trying to get to the playoffs while they are here. I get burrow, but chase and especially higgens are not guranteed to be here for that long. Your point contradicts itself.
I’d argue that having a season bad enough to get Ron Rivera fired and getting a top 3 pick is a win for the commanders. But with our luck we’ll probably squander it anyways
@5:00 when you are talking about the teams and the passing yards they have given up, I think you mean least, not most. Giving up, for example, the 26th most, means they gave up the 6th least
A lot has to do with hype. Justin Herbert is hyped up as the second coming, it just hasn’t panned out yet.as of right now he is comparable to his predecessor Phillip Rivers.
Had we picked a better coach, Justin and Co would be in the playoffs again this season but spanos being spanos went with the cheaper option. Now he said theres no money limit to the coach so lets see what happens
Giants should have someone named Murphy on the team. Murphy"s law applies to this team. Neal has a broken ankle. He's been playing on one leg most of the year.
Washington started 2-0, coming from behind to win both games, and came "this close" to beating Philadelphia. they were my dark horse team, and i was pretty excited about the rookie QB. and then they seemed to get comfortable losing, and that was that. they have to start over. ALL over. offense, defense, head coach should all be replaced. maybe draft one of the top QB's (they got great receivers already). letting a second year QB throw 50 times a game and leading the league in being sacked, may have ruined Howell. must have been a miserable season for the fans...
I usually like your show and takes, but I have to disagree with the Justin Herbert one. It’s not even fair to say he’s in his prime yet. He has many years of football left, and his experiences will only make him better in the long run.
I think its a little unfair to say Sam Howell is NOT the guy. With how SHIT the commanders have been, including their fraudulent O-Line, he has tried his best this season. Have there been times he has struggled? Oh yeah BIG time. But he has also been on of the few reasons that the Commanders offense did fuckin ANYTHING. Would love to see him on a team that will appreciate him.
How the Jets aren't on this list I'll never know. Rodgers going down 4 plays in after the hard knock hype with playoff goals is the definition of disappointment
Because that’s a stupid ass thing to talk about for 5 minutes lmao. This is quite obviously teams underperforming expectations, without Rodgers the jets haven’t been underperforming expectations, they’ve just been… the Jets.
The Patriots are easily the BIGGEST loser! Fans have been calling for Belichick to be fired for several weeks now. IF Kraft does not fire him, there are likely going to be a lot of empty seats next season! Forget the Brady years . . . "What have you done for me lately?"
Sam Howell can be a starter But not in Washington. WSH straight up ruined him after the Seattle game. EB didn't make his offense easily digestable for him and didn't run the ball to help him. He didn't run RPO, call the quick game for a bad Oline, bad gun system that run plays fail at, and his scheme doesn't benefit playmakers like Terry McLauren. EB said he doesn't care for stats which is a red flag because it says that your offense won't get your best players involved. Back to Howell, they overcorrected in trying to get him to not take sacks. Drilling into his head, so he is just trying to get rid of it. Sam looks like he is seeing ghost out there. He's too shook.
I think this is right. Howell is getting sacked at a David Carr pace. QBs need protection. Everyone's so impressed with Joe Burrow, but his O-line is horrible, too. Imagine how he'd be if he had time in the pocket. I'm genuinely shocked Browning had any success at all. He's earned himself a paycheck in five games. As for Howell, he'll stick around, maybe not with the Comms, but as a backup with a contender. His career trajectory will probably look like the guy he got benched for, Jacoby Brissett.
Because his team should have been winning more games than they are. The Chargers should be a constant Playoff contender. Instead, they're the Chargers.
You’ve got a point. But, when you have a talented QB like Herbert on your team, every year without a playoff run is a terribly wasted season… especially when Chargers chargered the way they did this year.
Because now they will be paying him as an elite QB and not as a rookie, which means their roster will have 1-2 fewer elite players elsewhere. They've basically wasted a window where they had an elite QB, RB, two WRs, and two pass rushers.
Justin Herbet needs to play better but the Chargers defense is awful. The Bengals just needd to stay IR. That's their biggest thin fo them. I had a feeling h Fisnts will regress once they paid Danny Meme that money. Dude as mid and not a game changer.
The Bengals are done. They can't afford to pay Higgins and Chase even after burrow said he would do all it takes to keep them there. Nobody wants to sign as a free agent in Cincinnati and they have to draft their team. They've only been decent at that in the last 5 years. He and Herbert will have the same career that Philip Rivers had.
Giants need to draft oline until they get it right. Neal can switch to right guard or he can go. He's a good run blocker but can't handle one on ones with passrushers. His comments about fans being burgerflips and calling himself a lion paints a bad picture so not sure if he'll be willing to put in the effort for a less lucrative position.
Wasted prime? Hurbert could have been better. hate when NFL teams win and its mainly the QB yet when they suck they blame the coach. Hurbert should be better in this year with many teams falling apart.
I think the giants hit the gauntlet early in the season where they dont match up good against any of the teams and it just made everything look and get worse.
Your Herbert take is terrible. He played through multiple injuries himself, did not have his center for most of the year, lost Mike Williams and Palmer for most of his games played, and his defense was probably the worst in football, not to mention one of if not the worst coach. Like he was always the reason the Chargers were ever in a position to possibly win any games. Look at the losses to GB, Detroit, Miami, and even Dallas and KC. Herbert is a top 5 QB and Super Bowl caliber while the rest of that franchise is devoid of top tier talent besides Keenan Allen
I think the only 3 people in the world who believed Daniel Jones was worth that money were him, his agent and the GM that signed it off

I'd heavily argue against your Herbert take. Herbert is going to be 26 next season and has proven he is a game changing QB. Khalil revived his career on the Chargers, everyone thought he was washed after his injured season on the Bears.
@@donaldjones9830Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Austin ekeler are terrible playmakers? Lol
He 💯 doesn’t deserve his money.
He didn’t just get a contract but a huge one.
Yeah he’s good but does not deserve to be worth like 200 mill or whatever it is, bro is 2/8 when he has the ball in his hands in one score games
The giants came back to their expected level. Last year was a magical run based on the talent they had.
And an easy schedule
the saddest one from this list for me is the Bengals.
With that QB contract kicking in, they will be more disappointments coming when they can't play their starters.
@@9pinertt87 That's not Daboll that's Mike Kafka. He definitely needs to go
It's hilarious that Montez Sweat still leads the Bears and Commanders in sacks this year.
He’s a pro bowler now as well.
/rant 😅
But they demand money like they’re the only player
Tbf he did play like shit his first season
The Giants should retain Daboll, but fire most of their offensive staff (Offensive Line Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and Wide Receivers coach)
Enough with the overrating of Herbert until he actually wins with the next coach. Fantasy stats mean nothing if you cant win.
Exactly
And I don’t get why he got paid so early without doing anything.
In 4 years he’s been a disappointment and has had a solid roster
@@spidamitchell8311yeah I didn’t know that having the worst defense in the league over the last 3 years means he has a solid roster?
Wins aren't a qb stat
Herbert has literally never had a 3+ int game, if you go through his "ints" they are usually either the reciever giving up on a route to early, it hitting thier hands and bouncing off, or its a hail mary like play at the end of a half / game. Put him on any team that isn't cursed like the chargers and they are superbowl contenders. Like imagine him on the steelers, or jets, or broncos
I thought the jets would be in this video but damn there are so many teams that have been foiled this year 😭
That bengals take was such an overreaction.
When burrow plays a whole season AFC championship game we’re presented & 1 SB appearance
higgins is absolutely gone next year but other than that I agree with you.
Bengals need to start drafting and emphasizing an offensive line. They can't compete with the AFC north if they can't win in the trenches. 0-5 vs division this year and likely 0-6 unless browns rest guys
Burrow took to much money
I think Chris Simms had Daniel Jones #8 QB ranked in his QB rankings. Lost a lot of respect for his football acumen with that analysis, cause it was obviously a bias choice, his dad played for the Giants. As a Cowboys fan, I was extremely happy they payed him.
The Bengals take is the most poignant here, especially considering that this is likely Tee Higgins' last year as a Bengal
Hes way better than the chargers make him look like, and I know cuz i watched him at oregon and he still plays really well like in college
herbert is the elite everyone says he is. they literally lost by 55 the first game without him
Herbert is literally how Stafford was on the Lions.
Herbert is nothing more than a systems QB manager, relatively ineffectual when the going gets tough too
Sam Howell isn't as bad as his weapons and O'Line...the guy has passed for 300 or more yards like 5 or 6 times this year.
I think he's underrated
Which makes him a big loser of the year because he has to deal with shit he simply shouldn’t. It sucks. I’m a huge Herbert fan and I can’t stand it
Why did you center it around him then? Why not talk about Staley instead?@@FootballAnalysis1

Daboll isn't the problem either, being hamstrung by an ineffectual QB with a massive contract and other poor personnel choices is. Not too mention, sometimes a roof just caves in...been plenty of star studded teams that don't do jack squat.

Again, a *playoff game.*
This guy is costing his franchise playoff games, ticket & merch sales & Still Has His Job all because teams' owners have No Idea what makes a good HC then hire someone they like, then become afraid to fire them because they're not sure they won't hire someone identical as their replacement because they still don't know what makes a good HC. I mean this guy's wasting more talent than _Staley!_ Imagine the Bills winning this much *despite* him?
I would guess commanders trade down, acquire picks & take an offensive/defensive lineman, roll with Brissett/Howell for another year and take a QB in the next draft
How does the Bengals having injury problems all year make them losers? There's a difference between having a dissappointing season and being losers
Is this where we acknowledge that you went from saying Washington was the team nobody wanted to play to now saying their roster is bad?
If you want yeah but I never said that. What I said was IF they beat Buffalo or Philly in weeks 3/4 and start the year 3-1 they could go on a run and start off 6-2 and effectively run the football and play good defense into a 10-7 or 11-6 record. They never beat Buffalo or Philly and in the process also traded two good pass rushers for pennies on the dollar which was a terrible decision.

I gotta be honest man- this is my favorite account i've subbed to this year.
Thank you Bobby!
Sam Howell seemed like the guy for a moment but fell on his face in the last few games
Burrow destroyed the 49ers on his first healthy calf game. Bad take.
I’m confused about why you’re saying the Bengals bad year was predictable from the start. Maybe I missed something, but the only reason I heard you give was that Burrow got a big contract, which I think you said was “ultimately” good for the Bengals.
The Bengals have been wasting talent for a few years now. They haven’t built a team around Burrow and Chase and they don’t have a head coach.

@@justadude1065 IMO Perine was a big reason for Burrow’s early success against the blitz. They could get away with Jonah Williams at left tackle

As a Bengals fan I didn't hear anything we didn't already know 😂 😢
Okay how did cincy waste a year of chase and higgins by trying to get to the playoffs while they are here.
Anyone else watching at work?
🤣
Herbert is wasting the chargers, not the other way around
What a dumb thing to say 😂
A lot has to do with hype. Justin Herbert is hyped up as the second coming, it just hasn’t panned out yet.as of right now he is comparable to his predecessor Phillip Rivers.
Had we picked a better coach, Justin and Co would be in the playoffs again this season but spanos being spanos went with the cheaper option. Now he said theres no money limit to the coach so lets see what happens
I hate how they use that as an excuse for a guy who already got paid. But if it’s fields who didn’t get the bag it’s different.
Daboll chilling
In defense of Hubert, the offense line was bad and I doubt the line will be any better next line
1. Herbert is 26 and will be fine
2. Any player that throws a fit on the sideline should be held accountable not just coaches. They are all grown men.
Herbert is overpaid and won’t justify the contract similar to how dak didn’t
Commanders are obviously tanking so it’s not that much of a disappointment. They finished last in the NFC East last year and this year too.
Howell should be the starter
How is Justin Herbert wasted prime???? Dude is 25
Because his team should have been winning more games than they are.
Wasted prime during rookie contract. Much harder to win once they get the big payday bucko
Harder to contend and build a team when your QB is now getting paid actual money and not a rookie contract
The Browns played missing half of their starters for nearly the whole season but still made the playoffs
Ridder one man destruction of team and coach! Turnover MVP..
It’s all on burrow
Giants need to draft Daniels they won to many games to get maye or Williams the Jones contract set them back
Guanst have the Coach but overpaid for their QB, Chargers have their QB with no coach.
Always a good reminder of how many casual fans there are when you see RUclips comment section arguments about Herbert lmao.
Justin Herbert needs a good friend in his life to tell him not to wear that atrocious headband

I think the giants hit the gauntlet early in the season where they dont match up good against any of the teams and it just made everything look and get worse.
The Giants mega over achieved last season and this year they just came back to where they should have been.
That’s why it’s not good when that happens with teams and same will happen with the Texans and/or colts
To say Herbert is wasted talent is like saying Josh Allen is wasted talent. Might not have made it to the Super Bowl but this is a team game.
Saints, Titans or Packers are way bigger loser than Bengals.
But no one expected anything from the Titans or Packers.
Herbert hasn’t even hit his prime yet. Not for another 2-3 years. 🤡😂
unfortunately, there are still many daniel jones giant fans...
For the algorithm.
Hope you had a great Christmas 🐐
The Redskins were a disappointment.
