    As bad as the Jay Cutler deal was, the Bears might have a worse free agency signing with Mike Glennon. Three years, $45 million, four total games played before being released a year into the deal.
    The crazier part: no other team was even considering signing Glennon and the Bears bid against themselves.

    The crazy thing about Deshaun Watson’s contract is that even if he played remotely close to how he did in Houston, it’s still a terrible contract. You just…don’t give any player an average of 46 million fully guaranteed per year over 5 years. Not even peak Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes is worth that money, and somehow Watson was.

    As a 49er faithful, I think it’s funny that our worst QB contract was with a QB that took us to an NFC championship game and helped propel us to a Super Bowl appearance, made 3 Pro Bowls in his career, was a comeback player of the year, was never an issue in the locker room, and was never responsible for any dead cap money. His level of play was severely hampered by the coaching staff his first 6 years, but once he had competent coaching, he was a quality starting QB. I’m sure there are plenty of teams that would trade their current QB for an Alex Smith level QB.

    Deshaun Watson is definitely not the worst Browns QB contract. Jeff Garcia got paid millions of guaranteed money to play for other teams because he only lasted one year out of his four year deal before he got cut and only amounted to 3 wins while there. So he was still being paid by Cleveland when he had his run getting the Eagles to the Super Bowl.
    Watsons guarantee might be controversial but he has won consistently in Cleveland so far when he has played to where he’s not getting cut and will actually be in a Browns uniform when he gets his money which automatically means they’ve lost less money on Watson than they did with Jeff Garcia.

    Jacoby didn’t really out playing Deshaun tbh. They both had the exact same stats and Deshaun just got back to playing football at the time. Joe Flacco is out playing Deshaun because Flacco got to play in consecutive games in a row this season and Deshaun hasn’t due to injuries. If Watson can just find away to stay healthy next season and play in consecutive games in a row then he might still not be worth the money they paid him but he could have a Russell Wilson type season next year and that type of QB play is honestly all the Browns need to get to the superbowl.

    Rob Johnson's or Ryan Fitzpatrick contracts were the worst ones in Bills history in my opinion. Johnson was injured all the time & Fitztragic was highly inconsistent

      @RichV20 4 месяца назад

      RoboSack 5/$25million was bad. Fitzpatricks extension was worse for the Bills. 6/$59million. Tyrod was okay and a security blanket for Josh Allen. Tyrod could actually play and didnt make many mistakes, but wasnt an elite QB.

    As a diehard Patriots fan I like the Eason pic but wouldn’t Drew Bledsoe be the right choice? I know he was a great quarterback in his prime for the patriots I was too young to ever watch him but if I remember correctly wasn’t he signed to that $100 million deal at a year or two before he got injured and Brady took over him for good? I would disqualify because of injury but with some other players like Romo you didnt do that so I was just curious no big deal just interested

    • @kurtpunchesthings2411
      @kurtpunchesthings2411 4 месяца назад

      That's not really fair on Bledsoes part as he was almost killed in that injury in the Jets game and Brady took over and the rest is history
      Had he never got hurt he would have continued and Brady probably never wins a superbowl

    I know the Browns are excited about what's going on right now, but you can't tell me that deep down inside, that they ain't punching the air right now about signing Watson when they could have had Flacco for the Low. But I guess they didn't know 🤷.

    Draw Brees and Sean Payton was made for each other in 2006 both of them won super bowl championship in 2009 the fact is Mr.Payton and Mr.Brees was such a magic carpet ride cause Payton wouldn't be the coach that he is then to now if Brees didn't be a New Orleans Saints but make no mistake about it Drew Brees will still be New Orleans favorite Son and coach Payton will be as well now that he's coaching Denver 11:05

    Daniel Jones lucked into an amazing deal. All about timing. Had a few inconsistent and injury riddled seasons, has a decent year before contract time which forced the giants to shit or get off the pot and they shit out millions to DJ…only to have him revert back to inconsistent and injury prone. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
