I just ordered the new tethers for my pod poi and super excited try them out. I've also been gravitating towards my now 13-14 year old crystal poi (still working although the cases are yellowing) with the flowmass and single strap handle. I just love the weight and nostalgia. Would love to try the new vision sticks set up in the same way.
Awesome video Drex! One thing that can come in VERY handy for glowstringing-esque stuff, is actually utilizing thinner cord w/ a looped tether, (Even with a handle! I 3d print tiny ones for my shoelaces now!) Reason I've found this to be the case, is shotgun tricks tend to feel very slow when having to "Pinch" the tether between the thumb and index with a single tether. having a loop around a finger free's up the thumb, allowing for more rebound control, as-well as being able to open up the hand a bit to control the amount of wind around the hand. the micro-adjustments in glowstringing are often the un-spoken thing that goes overlooked. because it doesn't create a strong visual difference, but it rather a subtle one with speed changes on exiting the shotgun, or its final landing location on the hand.
My favorite poi to spin with is contact poi from lantern smith and sock poi from sock poi. I found out about sock poi from your review on them. I found your first video on this and I ended up investing in some contact poi from lantern smith when you did this video for the first time. My favorite led poi are pod poi v2 and vision spin 9.
I've tried moon blaze before and absolutely love and know where your coming from. Im a bigg ass dude so Im on my 3rd set of 5" novas from dark monk. I mainly like bigger poi cuz they are easy to jellyfish and help w control.
I purchased the Orb Poi Pro by Ultrapoi as my first "official" poi. (And thank you kindly for the discount code!) I love them. The weight feels good and I like the thick tether. I still use my homemade sock poi (husband's socks + tennis balls) for practicing, as they hurt a lot less when I inevitably hit myself. I now want to try the Sock Fabric Poi. Perhaps a nice gift to myself in the New Year. :)
the sock poi are so much fun they re my number 1
i hope i can get those sock poi's those are dope
I love my vision sticks from flowtoys, same lights as your spin 9 vision poi but the glow stringing form factor makes their portability so great

I have the Orb Poi from Ultra Poi but I've been looking for another set. I think this video may have convinced me to get the Pod Poi.
Thanks for the reviews!

Do you use any glow stick poi ?
I'm so jealous...!!
How do we create effects with our poi from our phone??
I just got a new set should I wax my nylon cords?
Where I can b buy them?
You should reconsider shilling any ignis product. A shady company with terrible support and service with products that break quickly.
