    I had picked up some (from Amazon) after your first video and am impressed so far. But on their website you can build a custom set with the bits you want - that is SO COOL!

    • @MORGANSMaintenance

      I really like them so far too. I hadn’t seen that option in there. That’s pretty neat and may be a great option for someone.
      I bought mine primarily for the holders because I have tons of bits… but the ones I’ve used so far have been as good as any other I’ve used.

      If it’s something I will use, or I think someone like me could I will check it out. I’m not going to make a video just to get something free that I will never use.

    I picked up an assortment of these. Loved them. Still love the idea of them but I’ve already broken 2 of the ‘rails’ from wearing them on my tool belt. I don’t think or at least didn’t notice snagging them on anything. Just seems to be the weak spot is where you attach the carabiner. Both broke through right there. All the bits have held up great. I haven’t contacted the company yet but even if they sent a replacement it is likely to fail in the same place 🤷‍♂️

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  Год назад +1

      I haven’t worn any “on me” but I leave them clipped on the side of my bag. I use a magnet on my vest to hold bits. I occasionally take one off, but I normally have just thrown it in my pocket to go into a n attic/crawlspace.
      I haven’t had that issue yet, I actually just ordered me a couple more of their smaller ones.
      Hopefully they will make it right for you if you contact them.
      Appreciate you sharing your experience with them and letting others know.
      Durability is the unknown on new products but people can see your experience and at least put that into their decision process of whether to buy.

      @@MORGANSMaintenance I still like them a lot, just didn’t fix what I wanted. Wanted to carry a set of small numbers drivers and a bit holder rather than my Klein 7n1 flip socket.
      These would likely work great clipped to a bag but I work as a commercial electrician (appreciate) and am often on a ladder or a lift so it’s nice to be able to have a setup that covers most things rather than going up and down.
      Maybe I snagged it but if I did it wasn’t much. I’ll reach out and see what they say. If anything hopefully I can provide them with feedback so they can need it up for future runs.
      Phenomenal idea and great product otherwise

      @@MORGANSMaintenance my coworkers and i were working on a remodel for our boss. He has a few houses that we work on during low work times. We were installing cabinets today and i told my workers about your video with the 3rd hand poles. They really liked the video. We had 4 of us there so we were the extra hands needed to hang the cabinets.
      It’s turning out really well. Our boss sold the house down the street for 225000 just a short while ago. In my opinion it wasn’t worth half that but i was the one who painted the entire interior of the house. I think that’s why it sold so well LOL…

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  2 года назад

      @@THETIMINATORTHETOOLMAN Those 3rd Hands are nice for all sorts of stuff, but I bought them originally for cabinets.
      The housing market has gone mad but seems to be going back down. Things around me are going for Double what they were a few years ago.
      This has caused everyone wanting to sell…which means lots of remodeling. Only problem is there is nowhere near enough people to do the work (problem for some people… advantage for me 😂)
      I prefer service work, but a remodel can be steady work in between calls if the situation is right.

    It's hard to tell with the quick look on the video, but I think those torx screws you were comparing the bit to were actually for Torx Plus (IP25, not T25). A T25 will wiggle a little bit in an IP25 fastener.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  Год назад +1

      I’d have to check and see, normally all the bulk screws I buy that are Torx come with a bit stamped T25. I can tell by the color on that one it is a PowerPro Exterior Screw from Lowes. I usually buy those or Decking Screws at Home Depo.
      I’d have to look them up and see for sure what bit they are suppose to take. Hope I haven’t been using the wrong bit all this time 😂

    • @mikegraham7078
      @mikegraham7078 Год назад +1

      @@MORGANSMaintenance The website for those screws just calls it 'star drive' which makes me wonder... they don't seem to want to pin themselves down to any specific standard. Might be worth having an IP25 bit around to check now and then, because it might make your life easier when you run into them. Torx fits in Torx-Plus, it's just a bit sloppy. Torx-Plus will not fit in a Torx fastener. Well, maybe with a hammer. :)
