Anybody find it ironic that Kroll was a bit unaware that all his characters weren't very self aware?
I think he knew they were self aware, but I think he didn’t realize how many of them were that. Kinda like when I stared to paint abstract. I knew that circle paintings were always appear in troubled, demon possessed children, which I found funny. The one day my friend told me that Almost all my paintings had a circle somewhere in almost every paintin lol.
Nick Kroll is so adorable. Love his interviews!
Wow I have only ever seen Kroll in Kroll Show and I had no idea he was this cool and down to earth, awesome interview.
I'm always amazed at how humble, and down to earth Nick is considering the vast amount of wealth he was born into. You can tell his parents raised him right. Just wish more parents, rich or poor, did the same.

I love seeing comedians in real interviews because i expect them to be funny all the time, because of their shows and stand up and brief cameos, but they arent, which i find comforting.
Still one of the best shows on youtube. Please revive this show Paul F. Tompkins!

That Ace Ventura moment made my day
i choked on my sandwich when paul started doing the fake cop story about how he lost his partner and the city didnt make sense anymore, i coughed really hard and a piece of ham flew out of my lungs

Easily two of my favourite people in the world. So great to have them in the same room, AND INDEED, talking to each other.

kroll show is brilliant.
I think another large theme of his show is also poking fun at the MTV reality shows popular in the early 2000's.

God I remember being stuck at my grandmas house in the countryside for weeks in the summer and all that was on TV all day was MTV's "The Hills" which is pure torture to watch
Paul F. Tompkins looks like if Tom Hanks had a younger brother who became a magician.
I find stupidity HILARIOUS, and it's also critiquing etc in the way that comedy is. So I think it's great that all/most of Nick's characters are unaware twits, it's a big thing in the world that needs to be expressed. The challenge/fun/variety is in seeing how many people/what sorts of people it can be applied to!

i was blown away learning that paul was a cop, but it also makes sense. he does have a sense of authority, and he can command a room

I was alright with Cavemen. It was the first thing that really made me like Nick Kroll.
Cavemen is one of my favourite show, it was brilliant.
