    This was gold.. especially the analogies part🪙🥇 but if you have such gold content on your RUclips channel what exactly is the audience getting on the product design module? No offense here just trying to understand how the module is different than the already available content on your channel. I wanna purchase it but I'm just a little confused cause you have such masterful content on your channel I don't understand why would I pay for anything else.

      Learning how to design is not going to be enough to lead a successful career. The course talks a lot about understanding the design profession and navigating this career. Just knowing good UI and UX isn’t going to help you grow.
      The other aspect is that, in order to learn design there is a certain strategy that you need to follow.
      The reason people are putting out less than average content online today, even though there is so much content available is because they didn’t follow the right strategy to learn and practice. My guide covers that.

    This is a gold mine✨ This is the type of content that I longed to learn from when I first started out. Thank you so much Chetan for sharing such meaningful and in-depth explanations. I especially found your recent video on Interaction Design very helpful.
    Could you please make a video about how to effectively get yourself an interview as a junior level designer considering the current situation wherein employees are being laid off? I personally feel like not many companies are hiring interns or junior designers.. not sure why. Would love to hear your thought on this!

    • @DesignPilot
      @DesignPilot  Год назад +2

      I think companies are always on the lookout but they don’t publicly mention it. The general observation is that 1/20 people who apply to a company are worth having a conversation with. And so companies assume that you don’t meet their benchmark when you apply.
      So I would say that you need to continuously keep applying to companies and reaching out to the designers and recruiters from there. Even if your work is close to their benchmark, then you’re already standing out because 19/20 don’t come anywhere close to their benchmark.
      The other thing I recommend doing is the keep fixing your project again and again. Get feedback, make changes, you learnt something new, try to implement that. Could be prototypes, could be how to present screens in a case study, could be a new Ui concept, it could be anything.
      Or work on more projects and make sure that it’s 100x better than the previous one. This isn’t like college where you sit for placements with nothing to do after your 3-4 year program is over.
      You can't retake your exams and redo your assignments again and again. But you can rework your design project again and again.

    Hi Chetan,
    For someone applying to UX jobs as a fresher, what kind of case studies should be included in your opinion?
    1. A fictional app/website design showcasing the entire process
    Or
    2. Taking a real-life app and working on a new feature / solving existing problems that could make the user experience better?
    In this case, the problems identified would still be somewhat based on assumptions and limited research. How to go about it?

    • @DesignPilot

    Is it possible for you to share your Figma file for reference? They’re very useful, but one has to go through the entire video again to see the pointers. It would really help! 🙏

    making a Design system vs showing design System? Is Design system is important for Beginners?

    • @DesignPilot
      @DesignPilot  Год назад

      Well, making a design system will only help you design faster and with more consistency. And most likely the company you work at will have a design system or will need a design system.
      I don’t think it’s important to show it in your case study, because it’s expected to have basic knowledge of design systems. Showing a few texts styles, components and colors proves absolutely nothing.
      Your naming convention could be messed up, you might be using the wrong shades of greys across different components, you might have constructed the components incorrectly and not used the right component properties.
      So showing a snapshot of your design system in your case study is a big fat waste.

    The point where you are talking about where as an applicant we will get a chance to present and show things in the portfolio round which we haven't shown in the case study.
