Fought a life sentence for two counts of attempted murder, altered weapon charge, torture, shotting at an occupied structure and conspiracy to attempt murder. From 1994 to 2007 i paroled from Soledad state prison. I've been out ever sence. We are a rarity to say the least. We made it! Mma and training helped me out for the most. I've been diagnosed with PTSD. And i know the number one rule no j cats, but my medication has helped me with my aggression. I smile when i see another soldier so free to speak to the youth about this Matter. I'm 43 years old and i take care of my three year old daughter janaya full time. My life has completely changed. Keep up the good work.

Another great share of wisdom. Keep pushing the message of how easy it is to do something small and dumb, on the streets and end up in prison... where you then have no choice but to do more dumb stuff and likely ruin your life. I remind myself of that on a regular and try to let stuff slide.
Haven't been back. Didn't like prison too much. I stayed out of drugs in there and took it as a chance to educate myself. Reading was my drug. I'd read 20 books a week. 7nonfiction to 1fiction. Seen alot of shit go down. And you are 100percent right when you say people get fucked up for no reason or the wrong reason, all the time. It's a numbers game.

I almost got myself into trouble for not taking payment for my work...ie...taking payment from someone who is the prison attorney. He actually sent me clients instead of a beat down. He told me to give him important cases and keep the fucking morons away from him. Imagine thor on roids. I'm 6'7" 250. He was an intimidating man.

i fucking love this channel. You and Herc spittin stories about lockdown just calms me and takes me back to reality. The interview Herc did with Nate Dog, when he talks about the first day out and things that bothered him, it was so similar to how i felt. Let it be known , i wasn't in any large lock up like what you guys were, but lockdown is lockdown, and hearing the stories about the different levels makes me thankful i was not in prison in the states. i fucking love this channel. You and Herc spittin stories about lockdown just calms me and takes me back to reality. The interview Herc did with Nate Dog, when he talks about the first day out and things that bothered him, it was so similar to how i felt. Let it be known , i wasn't in any large lock up like what you guys were, but lockdown is lockdown, and hearing the stories about the different levels makes me thankful i was not in prison in the states. I Love that you guys continue to stay out and move forward in life, but use the skills retained from the penn in every day life. It has saved me countless times. Cheers man.
