this is why i love judas priest , most bands of those old days have changed their style of music and clothing , judas remains the same and keep playing high quality heavy metal which nowadays shitty kids metal bands aren't able to play , they are JUDAS PRIEST and this is what is all about !!! playing heavy metal !!!
You cant compare modern metal with classic metal, its like compare apples and bananas. It is true, that bands from these days cant play the classic heavy metal from the past times. Both styles are an art by it self and both are good. But the classic heavy metal is the best at the end. :)
I think Ritchie has done an AWESOME job filling for KK. And honestly, he's given Priest a bit of youthful energy onstage, which they needed. He's clearly enjoying himself, playing the solos faithfully, and interacting with the crowd. Can't ask for more than that. Of course I'd prefer that KK were still in the band, but Ritchie is nailing it.
I love watching Richie Faulkner perform. Been a Priest fan since about 81, and saw them back in the 80's. Yeah It's no longer KK and I wasn't sure how I would feel about that, much like when Janick Gerz joined Maiden but they found an incredible musician in Faulkner and a hype man as well. Look at the guys energy! And who gives a F___ what Halford does behind closed doors! THE GREATEST FRONTMAN/VOCALIST OF ALL TIME!
Fantastic performance of this immortal, pure-metal track. it is always sentimental to comeback in time and see the first tour they have done with Richie, the successor of Judas Priest legacy. Glenn in perfect shape here. Rob I want that jacket please :-)
Buying this DVD tomorrow. I have a feeling it'll be up there as one of my favorite concert films of all time. Along with Rush's Time Machine tour, Alice Cooper's The Nightmare Returns, AC/DC Live at Donington, and Maiden's En Vivo
"Desolisating" Rob ACTUALLY INVENTED A NEW WORD for this song. That's all you need to know about how badass this is. This is a song that helped launch the thrash genre. Pure adrenaline.
Be as it may, there's nothing that could be done about K.K. leaving the band. I miss his presence as much as the next Priest fan, but I think Faulkner does a pretty admirable job in his stead. He seems to fit in nicely with the band as far as stage presence and playing style. A part of the band did leave when K.K. left, but I say give the newcomer a chance just like the older fans did with Tim "Ripper" Owens. Also, why all the comments about Rob being gay? Metal is about the music, so lets not worry about Rob's orientation. Priest is amazing regardless. Long live the Metal Gods! \m/
I wholeheartedly agree with everything to said. Music is music and metal is metal. And I absolutely love Richie Faulkner. He has outstanding stage presence, and a real appreciation of his craft, which he's damn good at. He's also a real decent guy.
Exactly who cares if Rob likes men. It's all about his vocals. He rocks. If anything I admire that he wasn't afraid of his legacy maybe getting destroyed. A lot of people stay in the closet and act fake. He's a true dude and this is coming from a Heterosexual person. God Bless Rob. Keep Rockin
Ritchie don't deserve to be in Priest. He didn't earn it. Period. He just got lucky. And really, imo; he's just an average guitarist. He got lucky that his looks resemble KK. But he will NEVER BE KK. And Priest will NEVER be "pure" ever again. And now with Glenn being gone- forget about it. Oh, the music is average. Nothing holds up to the classic tracks from the 70,s and 80,s. And also, there ain't no room for homosexuality in Metal. The same way there ain't no crying in baseball. I personally can't (And don't want too) tolerate it. Priest is done and over with. They should retire and stop misrepresenting themselves. Presently, they're doing a disservice to the fans that made them famous. Very disrespectful.
My favourite HM band since 1978. Still have the original Unleashed in the east vinyl. A friend of mine had British Steel. Always played those at home...... Pounding the world like a battering ram yeah!!
I agree! I like how, though he's not playing note-for-note what KK would have played, he has the same wild, noise-making attitude while Glen is still very much the quick and precise
and the metal gods decided heavy metal will rule forever in epitaph tour. July 10th,2011 is the date I would never ever forget. I was the happiest person on earth because I was just in front of the metal gods in istanbul show. epitaph tour is the best ever...greetings from istanbul.
JUDAS PRIEST! CAN IT BE BETTER THAN THIS? HELL NO! I rank Judas Priest #1 on my Metal list together with Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden.. Rob Halford is getting older, but he's kicking kickin' ass! Keep on rockin' Rob, fuckin' awesome, can't wait to see Priest for the first time!
One of the best songs in History of Heavy Metal!
I agree - one of my all-time faves for sure!
Simply the epitome of HEAVY METAL!
OWWW FUCK YEAH !!!👍🏻
Yeah it’s like a limp dick! Ya just can’t beat it!! Lol
I'm 57. Seen em like 5x. When you add it all up best heavy metal band ever. Ozzy a close second.
A lot of JP fans don't know it but Mr Ian Hill has been pounding the bass for JP since 1968, that is a long time
He is the only original member left....
Ian Hill is the TRUE metal god!
Ian hill is the best bass metal
We all know 😂
Rob Halford, the best voice and the best jacket on the world
I wonder how much that jacket weighs, leather itself is somewhat heavy + all that metal on it.
War When metal is on your veins... it does´t matter :)
+War he doesnt wear the leather long coat anymore. It was 60 pounds. thats a lightweight fabric . it still weighs 25 pounds.
this is why i love judas priest , most bands of those old days have changed their style of music and clothing , judas remains the same and keep playing high quality heavy metal which nowadays shitty kids metal bands aren't able to play , they are JUDAS PRIEST and this is what is all about !!! playing heavy metal !!!
+MetalThunderForce Sabbath and Motorhead still have it, well (had it) for Motorhead.
Sabbath now too
And UFO.
nowadays ? haha you dont know much about modern metal, i can say that confidently your comment is so naive and closed minded
You cant compare modern metal with classic metal, its like compare apples and bananas. It is true, that bands from these days cant play the classic heavy metal from the past times. Both styles are an art by it self and both are good. But the classic heavy metal is the best at the end. :)

Of course I'd prefer that KK were still in the band, but Ritchie is nailing it.
I was at this gig, it was absolutely mind blowing. No one performs better than The Priest live, Halford is the best vocalist ever!!!!
I love watching Richie Faulkner perform. Been a Priest fan since about 81, and saw them back in the 80's. Ritchie is an extraordinary talent. He saved Judas Priest.
@@efriamantoniogarza9388 Truer words have probably never been spoken publicly
This song defines all that heavy metal is! Fifty years with the Priest! Rock on metal maniacs!
The greatest heavy metal band of all time.
This IS Heavy Metal! Love that Richie Faulkner!
Rapid fire, Birmingham metal at its best, awesome track.
there are celebrities, idols... but this is how the legends sound...
Masters of heavy metal, judas priest the best band , going missed you when end😢
Definitely the best opening song for priest.
I saw Priest a couple years ago. F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C concert! Really hope they tour again soon!
They will in 2018, to promote the album they're working on now.
Best song for a intro of all time so far
If you asked me how long as Ritchie being in the band, I wouldn't have guessed over 11 years. Still kicking it.
This not Rapid fire, it's just fire
2024......
Never old
Kereeeen!!!
Fantastic performance of this immortal, pure-metal track. it is always sentimental to comeback in time and see the first tour they have done with Richie, the successor of Judas Priest legacy. Glenn in perfect shape here. Rob I want that jacket please :-)
Isn't this from the Epitaph Tour - their so-called farewell tour? Thank goodness they continued. All hail.
thunderous drumming there!!!
The best band ever made the best DVD ever!
Scott Travis' drums always sound tight AF baby!
I like his adding of Double bass.. It makes the part heavier
David Topchiev I feel like it made this bands performance stronger and gave a new life. Neck he is than responsible for putting the pain in painkiller
Judas Priest is my favorite metal band that i hear and enjoy since 1982
This is real metal, much much better than all these metal core bands
My first ever JP concert was while Epitaph Tour ..Fribourg Switzerland .. I’ll Never forget it!! Was a Pure Fire!! What a performance 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
These guys have been going strong since the 70's.. It's amazing how they still stay relevant!

A metal band that has been putting out studio albums since 1974 has no business sounding this good in 2012.
