If your having a fuel problem. It's more than likely the pickup tube going inside the take. They have a real problem with that tube braking off and not being able to pick up fuel put other tank. Another thing to check is your glow igniter, if you haven't changed them out in a good long while. It's either fuel or spark as long as it is a gas ran machine, & not a diesel machine.
if its gas it s most likely a dirty or faulty sparky plug. if u replace the spark plug and theres still no spark check the wiring leading to and from the spark plug. if the wiring is good its most likely the ignition coil

It can be the fuel shut off solenoid valve as well

Fuel solenoid worked for me .. can tie the arm to get by but need to undo it to shut off engine
