My parents (90s) told me about Mr. Shea and their experience serving in the Billy Graham Crusades (70s). Now, in my 50s (2024), I find myself listening to the same hymns with my 8-year-old. The Lord’s blessing continues to flow through the voices of His chosen, just as it did then, and will do so until He returns. Shalom
...and He walks with me and He talks with me and he tells me I am His own. In loving memory of my dear adopted Father who found Jesus Christ at Billy Graham Crusade and passed on His love to me. I am yet to accept
I had such a wonderful time as a child; I heard this hymn and the truth of it is still in my heart. Oh, He is mine and I am is - and His banner over me is love!
Every time I was sick and couldn't go to grade school, my mom would play this album over & over for me. I loved George Beverly Shea's deep voice. I truly believe that voice helped me get well quickly. RIP Mr. Shea & Mom. bet he's singing to her right now.
my father's favorite. he couldn't sing a lick but loved to sing hymns at the top of his lungs, especially this one. i miss him so much but know he's with the Lord and i'll see him again.
Like stepping back in time -- my parents had this album and the intro to this song is so sweet. It's like being back with my family as a child, and hearing my mom singing along with George so beautifully.

this is the closest version ive found to the one we sing at my church. it cuts out some verses and is a touch slower, but i love it nonetheless. such a beautiful song.
I will not accuse this hymn of being first-rate. The shlock arrangement and the too-slow tempo are added liabilities. But Shea's basso cantante is heard to considerable advantage.
Bev Shea's gift of singing is a real blessing! I have enjoyed hearing him!
I am off work sick. The words of this amazing hymn and Bev’s delivery make me humble and joyful.
Listener to this as a child. Now 71. It's still SO BLESSES ME - SO ANOINTED!
WITH LOVE AND Shalom!
