I feel his joy driving it. Same here when I'm out in my cinquecento, there is something about them compared to modern hum drum cars. Modern yokes have no soul or character. It's an adventure driving these as you are always listening for noises and watching out for lunatics who might run you off the road. I even get laughed at... couldn't give a fook. Well done to you on your project.
I've just bought a 1993 LE Limited Robin too! Mine was owned by Middlesbrough FC! Unfortunately mines lost its decals as it's been painted yellow but still retains its red bumpers and sticker
reguarding your lights i dont think there is a drivers side as there both directed right on the glass if you look on the lense youll see diaganal lines going towards the right on both headlights or left if your facing them. i can only guess that the light that was on there was a foreign one. if the light were sculpted to fit the shape of your car like modern ones then there would be a left and right to fit in the light sockets
Robin's are super loud due to 1 small silencer and hardly any soundproofing inside. I've seen a few Robin's with bigger silencer's i think from a Ford Fiesta mk3 or Corsa B and are alot quieter.
A before and after would be great as the difference in sound will be very noticable. I saw a Robin SLX in traffic and the gearbox whine was louder than the bigger silencer it had.
Great result after all the hard work.
Great little tinkering video so the Robin could get its re-test.
Congratulations! Now enjoy it 👍👍
Cheers Doug

Great , now for the tappets
Brilliant, a job well done! That looks like it is a fun car to drive, don't get the smiles per miles with modern cars!
It really is a laugh to drive 😁

Cheers Bryjan51, just in time for summer adventures.
Really well done, seeing as it was done in the lashing rain, wind, snow and anything else Wales has to throw at it.
Cheers Terry 🍻
Well done, on your hard work ! Nice relaxing music for your ride out. Who is the artist ?
Cheers Kobi Ki, I'd have to go back and check for the artist, I use the RUclips free library.

Brilliant. Is there some kind of club for restored Reliants?
Yeah there's quite a few Reliant Owners Clubs.

The replacement one I'd bought had been shipped from Poland, probably my own fault for mis-reading the ad.

reliant robin das cam
Now lend it to Hubnut for a road test!
He would be welcome.
No doubt he will see this video. Your fibreglass looks in very good condition compared to his TWC which needs some tidying.
I love Twc 😀
Haha great news, well done. So what are your plans for it now?
Keep it, make it better and take it on some adventures I think.
Was the lens a LHD? Some have an arrow on
Yeah it had an arrow and it pointed LHD, learnt something new 😀
