She closed her eyes in the first murder scene and kept her eyes closed throughout! This is why those scenes are cut rather than the reason that kids will get influenced!
All these movies come under a PG-13 rating! These are the contents that are not meant to be watched below the age of 13! If all these are taken into deliberation, then no one can enjoy adept kinda movies.

So, the censor board, realizing his talents, decided to be lenient for Pudhupettai. This is quite ridiculous but I don't think this is out of the realm of possibility for the Censor Board.
