I’ve just started watching, and I’m already in love with the outside of this home. Holy cow, the weeping mortar! Stunning. What lovely decor, so peaceful. 🎀
My 1966 home had weeping mortar when I bought it. But I live just north of Chicago and our freeze/thaw, snow/ice climate is not good for it. It was crumbling so I had to remove it at over $25K - a surprise expense. Better design element for southern climates. Love this house!
So much original character and architecture kept such a sensitive remodel . Would have loved seeing upstairs this is not the over the top decorating very livable comfortable and timeless,

I always had heard that ivy was damaging to buildings. Is it the thick mortar that protects it, or the type of ivy that they have?
