I got a 'falling' feather done on the side of my neck to represent Patch's last feather. Which could be worse tbh! It's somewhat a passable tattoo. But, yeah, I re-read the books and realised that Patch was a groomer-ish and tbh the books aren't great. 😂So now I am stuck with a tattoo of a series I hate LOL. At least it's cute.

I encountered first book as a Harry Styles fan fiction online over 10 years ago. Somebody online had copy-pasted the first few chapters of the first book and changed the male MC's name for Harry, the fic was left unfinished. Months later I picked up this series at a bookstore, two chapters in I was surprised at the constant feeling of deja vu as I read. Everything was just COMPLETELY unreadable for me after that lolol. The first 4 weren't amazing, but at least some of the character's were likable then, like Nudge and Iggy. It got weird real fast. I read Angel when it came out and that was it for me, I gave up on it. I don't even remember what happened in Angel I just remember it feeling like a fever dream. Fun fact Hush Hush was supposed to be a standalone book but Becca Fitzpatrick's Publisher/editor pushed for her to make it a series,so Crescendo (which is usually the most disliked book of the four) is just Becca finding ways to keep the story going. Also the touching Patch scars and the (spoilers) when they do the blood oath and he feels physical touch for the first time permanently altered my brain chemist.

I enjoyed watching how someone else digested this series but I wouldn't rely on this video when making the decision of whether or not to give it a read. I think it deserves a lot more credit than it gets. Yes, it's cheesy and could benefit from more detail of the Nephiligm/Archangels but it's a good read with many twists and turns that make you want to keep on reading. 😊

As a teen, I was absolutely obsessed with it (and Patch), OBSESSED 😂 But years later, although I'm still fond of it, I see how unhinged and dramatic (and problematic) it really is. That's why, earlier this year, I sold my copies and let someone else enjoy them. Because I don't see myself rereading it, like ever, simply because I'm way too adult for that now 😂 (And if you enjoy it as an adult, good for you!
