I think Deaky used a low-action bass, with treble all the way up, a little bit of mid and no bass. I have my EQ settings to that and got kinda close to his isolated bass track tone
@@LeftyBassman you’re right. the isolated bass tracks and the actual bass sound in the songs sound like they have different tone. Though some live recordings where the bass can be heard REALLY clear do sound (at least somewhat) like the EQ settings I mentioned

the only problem I have with this song, is the fact that my hand starts to cramp up and my fingers start to get lost
Perhaps you need more practice and more warm up exercises. Anyway stop immediately as you start to feel pain.

No...in fact, once you learn how to comfortably handle the instrument, this is an excellent song to learn by. It's actually very simple.
