To be fair, she literally didn't have any memories of people being nice to her. The majority of her memories are based on Shar and Shar's followers, and the way she speaks of them sounds like she's justifying abuse. No wonder she'd cling to Tav.
What cracks me up about Shadowheart sharing some big secret with Tav is that there are usually two other companions standing there. It is really easy to break her, for me in act 1 she began saying she only needs tav and doesn't want to become a dark justiciar anymore. In act 2 she began to doubt again however and kept apologizing as seeing Shar's work affected her. It makes sense if we think about who really she is, deep down she always knows it..

@@ggoddkkiller1342 Shads doesn’t quite think she’s worthy of Dark Justiciar status in Act 1 because the wound keeps punishing her, and she remembers Viconia constantly refusing. After all I have you in my life.” She hasn’t given up on it, she’s just coming to terms with gratitude for what she currently has. Then in Act 2 as soon as you enter the Shadow-Cursed lands, Shar grants her a protection from the curse and Shads realises this means something. That Shar needs her for something and doubly she interprets it as a form of Shar’s affection. If you’ve pointed out the Selunite connection to her childhood wolf memory and/or given her the noblestalk (in which she remembers Rennald/Nocturne) she will be looking sad in camp and you can point out she’s been acting off. @@LecherousLizard I don't really like Astarion, so I'm probably just not putting in the effort to keep him happy. Skipping over plently of side content too, so likely missing a few chances to make him like me as well. For instance, he never got a chance to try and bite anyone at camp, he just admitted it and I said "Duh".
Honestly sometimes the approval system confuses me. I'm on very my first playthrough, and in the very early game I decided to leave Lae'zel out of the party due to some self given spoilers about the Prism which lead me to believe she'd kill Shadowheart and give it to the first high ranking officer gith we found in the wilderness/mountain road area (I was half right, given that they try to kill each other at some point). Kept playing with a somewhat difficult line up (Me, a wizard, Karlach as the main fighter, Gale and Shadowheart as an underdeveloped healer) so killing the two goblin leaders was a bitch, even knocking out Minthara was difficult. Later on, during the party with the tieflings and Halsin, I talked to her and she said some shit about ignoring her and that she'd leave me wondering what was like to be in bed with her (even though my Tav was sworn to Karlach the day they met, but that's besides the point) so I just ignored. A little bit later, had finished exploring the Underdark, did some exploring on the mountain road and decided to bring Lae'zel along for the second half of the exploration which included the creche itself. Result: after a single long rest, I get that dialogue option about her looking at me differently and I'm like "girl, weren't you gonna blue ball and istikzone me? What's with this? I bathe in the blood of one or two dudes with you present and suddenly you're horny?"
@@genkureshima9834 Lae'zel is just that easy. Normally you get that dialogue about... 5 minutes into the game, but since you decided to not have her in the party this is the result. Consider this game to be some tumblrina's erotic fanfic and it'll all make sense.
@@LecherousLizard I wouldn't place BG3 that low (or any game for that matter) just because of romantic/sex content. I'd say that's more on youtube focusing on the horny side of it, but that's just me. Lae'zel does explain how githyanki reproduction works, so it makes sense that she's... a little hypersexual, to say the least.
I absolutely did roleplay that, we killed the last Justiciar to huge Astarion disapproval (just to spite Rafa) and later sabotaged Shartysparks raising to new e-level in Shartology.
There is NO "too damn high" with Shadowheart. She is misguided and closed up in the beginning, but when you earn her trust, you can learn about her true self and if you have a heart, you do not want to leave her to this wicked goddess she serves in the beginning of the journey. "Hope has little place among lady shar's children" says it all.

The FR setting use deities as if they were the classic pantheons. People worshiped Apolo and Asclepios to gain their favour and avoid diseases. In a similar way in DnD people worship Talos and Auril.
It's basically the blackpill, by riding yourself of hope you get to endure the suffering, by forgetting and and becoming apathetic to most stuff you shield yourself from pain.
@@Bonibello You are very correct - in fact I'm pretty confident someone with high enough charisma could start a Sharran cult among certain subreddits, easily - I suspect their biggest issue to most incels would be that the goddess is female, but it wouldn't last long. I mean the relationship between Shar and Selune is very much your classic normie vs. chad meme :P
On my 2nd playthrough, Shadowheart's approval of me was so high that I was somehow able to trigger this cutscene twice. The first time was somewhere in the wilderness and the second when we were discussing going to Moonrise through the Sharran temple in the Underdark. I nearly triggered it for the third time in the Grymforge when looking at dead Dark Justiciars... I kinda had like half of this cutscene? Anyway, I can't resist romancing her over and over again on every single playthrough
So she just fully admits that her goal is to plunge the world into endless darkness. Yeah If I was in that position, she'd be the first to die after the tadpole problem is fixed.
*Me thinking back to how she was already straddled on top of Laezel, with Laez holding her arm back, the awkward pause while I debated internally and then the ambivalence for me on that night. Same age though.

I accidentally made her fall for me because i just don't care enough about any of the companions backstories to ask. All my friends were betting on which companion was going to fall for me first. Shadowheart didn't even make the list
I am a little disapointed. I'm actually making a run with a fascist paladin of vengeance, attacking and destroying evil everywhere I see it without letting it the time to try and corrupt me by words. When Shadowheart told me she was a worshiper of Shar, I demanded she leave my camp and my party (I didn't kill her outrigth, maybe I should have). For hours then, I played without her (asking Wither for another cleric, who happen to be way more usefull in battle than her), and suddenly, after I killed every gobelins in their camp, she is back during the celebration. And I can't kick her, there is no dialogue option for it, maybe I should kill her directly in the camp.... Very surprised and sad about that, for now she just stay at camp without ever participating in anything.
@@LecherousLizard
I wouldn't place BG3 that low (or any game for that matter) just because of romantic/sex content. I'd say that's more on youtube focusing on the horny side of it, but that's just me. Lae'zel does explain how githyanki reproduction works, so it makes sense that she's... a little hypersexual, to say the least.
Tav :
- A good Dark Justiciar is Dead Justiciar!
Shadowheart :
- what did you say?!
Astarion :
- that was a joke! :D
I see you coopting Aylin's words there, you can't hide it from me! Lmao
@@graysonb_designs Because they are the only true words -- if you believe Shar, you selected the path of lies.
I see nothing to laugh here!
She's such an adorable Cutie.
Sweetheart 🥰 cutie. Too cute to be a good Sharran
@@zPePhungz Not a sweetheart, a shadowheart.
@@Kveldrunari No no, the real her is a sweetheart
Take a drink every time she says Shar.
Bye bye liver
I was so happy when she chose Selune in my playthroughs so I didn't have to hear about the Depression Goddess every 30 seconds.
And now in tune with the main theme, everyone: "Say good-bye to your liveeeeeer"
Is the cute elf asking the player to eliminate the Mother Superior to help her career path? Because she's awfully cute and I have no respect for her culture
"i wish to be Dark Justicia, and my mother superior is a cringe drow, can u help me de-throne her even we're just meet after an escape from squid-empire-space-ship ?"
Damn your Tav looks good. Also great thumbnail.
I don't understand this video. Did I lost 2:35 mins of my life? I'm not joking what are we seeing here? I just saw the normal conversation that appears on all playthroughs. Expected a meme or something funny
And i didn't expected this clip gain 70,000 views for meme or funny clip. this is just one of my clip i record my favourite momment in BG3. while the other funny clip funny edited i made is flop ass ahahahha
Same here... i wonder why YT even suggests these videos... gotta drop dislike for wasting my time
@@sashagryg1958 go bashing RUclips's ass not my video will ya? i didn't expect this personal playthrough montage made you precious life time wasted for 2:13 minutes.
She's such an emo girl! and I love her
Every companion in BG3: I am so mysterious. Ask me about it.
Tav: Ok. What is the mystery?
Companion: I ain't telling!
Shadowheart's dialogue is so funny to me. Going through act 1, it's hard to tell if she despises you, she's indifferent about you or if she's madly in love with you lol
...I don't quite get how Shar has any followers. Then again, I get that feeling about a lot of FR deities.
from what i learned i realize Sharran and Shar teaching method is basiclly like self-help freaks (and yes in House of Grief in BG, these Sharran selling self-help book ) 💩who wrote shit to embrace yourself , positive attitudes. in FR world, to fix all your grief sadness problem, just get whipen memories by Shar's grace. it seem work to many folks in FR lol.
@@zPePhungz To be fair, that's how these kinds of cults get you irl too. XD
Just love her accent and how she says "dark justiciar".
Anyway, I can't resist romancing her over and over again on every single playthrough
wait how daheq this clip gain so many views lmaooooo

hey friend! here it is
Yeah, thumbnail.
wait what... i got this interaction in act 1, how???
So she just fully admits that her goal is to plunge the world into endless darkness. Yeah If I was in that position, she'd be the first to die after the tadpole problem is fixed.
shut up Shadowheart hater
*Me thinking back to how she was already straddled on top of Laezel, with Laez holding her arm back, the awkward pause while I debated internally and then the ambivalence for me on that night.
Same age though.
I didn't get the cutscene of laez'el and shadowheart fight, does anybody know why?
take time, and if Lae'zel seen the Astral Prism that SH holding, may be next night she came to ask
I believe one of my playthroughs this happened. Are you playing dark urge?
@@slaminjaminotter7286 no, I'm playing as a tav
*has. Tav has.
dat eye shadow
i've had this conversation with her in every single playthrough because i love her so much that i'm her personal people pleaser
On my first playthough i romance with shadowheart *which im still playing* when i got to the part where i ment the nughtsong i had shadowheart with me and i gave her the armour you can get and the spear she demanded to slay nightsong of course i failed the roll to convince her to stop and it was either let her kill nightsomg or stop her and i fought her and i knock her out hoping i could bring her bsck but sadly nope she gone in that realm forever
I got this dialogue right after entering the Mountain Pass lol, haven’t been to Underdark yet
Gale in the back looking on like a proud dad
Shadowmommy is best companion
I know she can be turned good, but my Paladin does not, it would feel really weird having a dark god worshipper in my monsters killing party....
If you haven't yet done act 2. You can keep her out of your party and she'll leave at a certain moment
@@imnot16 I'm not in act 2 yet (but close) with this group. My plan is to leave her out of the party for 99% of the act, then just take her for the figth against Balthazard and prevent her of stabbing NigthSong by killing her first.
lmao, dont care
go suck your own balls and no one care.
