    @Red Rocking Bird - Thanks for the in-depth informative video. May I suggest your wood cutting would be much cleaner, using a honeycomb bed that allows the smoke and spatter to exit cleanly underneath the workpiece. The laser is also burning the block underneath, only increasing unnecessary fouling of your finished workpiece. 👍🏻‍

      Thank you. Great suggestion, I now thankfully have these and makes it safer too. I set the wood on fire a couple of times....ooops.....so definitely needed to change.....any help and advice always appreciated, thank you

      @@RedRockingBird I picked mine up 'new' this morning at the bargain price of £670 ($808) on eBay! I've been toying with the just as cool Laserpecker 1 pro, but do highly recommend if your budget allows to either purchase the LP 2 or the Brand new Laserpecker 4 a real beast of a machine. 👍🏻‍

    Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge and creative designs. Q: Can you laser cut, baked Polymer Clay, or will it burn the baked clay and create toxic fumes? Thank you for your time.

    • @RedRockingBird
      @RedRockingBird  2 года назад

      Thanks, that would be amazing if it worked, I haven’t tried but yes I would think that toxic fumes would be released and it would likely blacken it too

    I'm considering the LP2 for crafting to sell at a friend's consignment shop & I was looking at the original LP, but it seems too limited and I'd probably regret not getting the LP2 Pro!

    • @RedRockingBird
      @RedRockingBird  Год назад +1

      LP2 is great, I have a video coming out tomorrow for the LaserPecker 4 it’s available later this year but has a hefty price tag, gradually over time the prices should come down, have you also considered the xTool, Laserpecker is faster but xTool goes bigger

    • @danofiremano

      @@RedRockingBird _ Thanks, yes I was looking at the X-Tool too, but figured I'd start with the LP2 & after a while get the X-T if my business takes off at a decent rate!

      @@danofiremano The LP laser employs fixed body and moving mirrors to steer the laser, which offers great portability, but sacrifices on both power and effective work area. The extra price is more than justified (in my opinion) if you require a low yield engraver you can take and operate literally anywhere on a powerbank!

    Do you engrave on tumblers? If so, do you know how to center the clip art to right where you want it? It seems to start right to left instead of in the center of where I want it. Can you do a video on it?

    • @RedRockingBird
      @RedRockingBird  Год назад

      Apparently you can change this, someone mentioned this in a comment when they realised I was always going right to left. I don’t often do tumblers 🤔

      yes trolley mode can be much longer, 10cm width still

    How much US dollars are these going for? 3D printers one needs to be careful, as some of the materials are toxic, like resin. Cricut is going to have a lot of competition where engraving is involved

    Hi
    What setting you would use to engrave into two colors plastic to have a deeper engraving . More passes or more depth. More depth seems to be burning too much
    Thank you

      Any of those super strong glues that comes in the tiny tubes and is really runny and you only need a tiny amount and if you’re not careful sticks your fingers together, super glue

    How do you square the laser?

    • @RedRockingBird
      @RedRockingBird  Год назад

      Hi, it needs to be 11cm away from your material, the orange shield that attaches to the laser is 11cm or there is a 11cm ruler that comes with it if you don’t use the guard. When attached to the arm support there is a button to raise and lower, thanks
