I woke this morning it find you wonderful humans have once again surpassed donation goal! Thank you SO much!! Just imagine what your money will go towards helping 😭😭 You're all incredible 💛💛💛
I was a GOSH baby. When I was in the parents sleeping area was down in the basement near the morgue. You are doing an amazing thing. I was at the hospital when they broke ground for their first lot of rebuilds. Frank Bruno was there when they moved the Chapel. I spent a lot of my life there even though it was a hospital it never felt like it. I remember going in for an op during halloween and I was allowed to go to the party and I won first prize for my costume. even though i wasn't wearing on. it was my hospital gown and my oh natural washed out straight from theature look.
Thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention. We have a hospital here in the states called ST JUDE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. Children with cancer can be taken care of there and their parents can be there with their kids and the best part of it is the family pays NOTHING for their children to stay there while receiving their care. I donated to this cause. I worked as a nurse for 20 years so anything that has to do with helping people cope with their medical needs I'm there. I wish GOSH Good Luck. You're a good person Aidan. 👍
From everyone at GOSH Charity, thank you so much for this wonderful video and to your wonderful community for raising money for the new Children's Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
So proud of you for once again fundraising for GOSH. It's such a worthy cause. I could not fathom going through such a scary, heartbreaking time as having your child be ill and I'm so grateful that places like GOSH exist and that wonderful people like you and this community help keep it going ❤
My own son spent many moths in hospital as a child and baby. First at his birth hospital where he spent almost his entire first year (at the time Wishaw General Hospital - now University Hospital Wishaw), I lived around the corner from there so could still go home to rest and shower, but when we fled my ex-husband, we ended up in Wiltshire and he spent the Oxford John Radcliffe Children's hospital. We didn't have accommodation there, but drove daily to and from home (about 35 miles away). The difference it would have made to be close-by would have been such a blessing. Thank you for doing this. If you're fortunate enough to have had healthy babies, you are so very blessed. But believe me, accommodation would have been such a benefit to healing.
This is absolutely lovely. As a mom of many children, but one with special needs who's needed medical care throughout the years you both made me smile and made my eyes leak. Bless you
I’m a nightmare for not commenting and I’m trying to be better at it but this is one i couldnt not comment on in the name of signal boosting! What you’re doing goes a long way and all donations big or small count. What GOSH and all nurses and doctors in these fields do is nothing short of incredible and beyond appreciated and respected. Love and strength to any families currently going through a difficult time✨
I spent a lot of time in a paediatric hospital in my teens; it was hours from my home and so my parents couldn't visit often. it was hard enough to be ill, but to be ill alone was even worse. something like this that would have allowed my parents to be closer to me would have made the whole experience so much better. I'm glad they exist. edit - as a disabled person and wheelchair user I want disability representation beyond cosmetics so bad in the game, it's a life sim fundamentally and I can't make myself in the game as it is right now. I think there's a misconception in some of the sims team's responses to these requests in the past that disability is inherently miserable, and it's just not true. we're capable of joy in the same way anybody is, and being disabled isn't a life sentence to misery.
I know what it's like going through cancer, and even then, I couldn't imagine going through this as a child. What a great charity! I love the outdoor space. Using the murals on the fence really brightens it up!
Aden, you are incredible. It is so heartwarming seeing you creating content that can truly touch the lives of so many in such an amazing way. It is so important for life-simulation games (especially a franchise as large as The Sims) to partner with real-world organizations to make such a powerful impact, especially in the absolutely challenging case of healthcare. So, thank you thank you thank you for your amazing contribution to these families' lives!
So sweet of you to be doing this. Watched the full video with all ads, none skipped and will make a donation too. Just had a baby myself, couldn't even think of going through something like this as a (new) parent. Thank you for raising awareness and bringing this charity to our attention.
Once again, you're so amazing for raising money to such an great cause! You, the people at GOSH and everyone who works helping people in such a delicate situation are the absolute best. I know this beautiful community you created is gonna come through again. Let's go!
What an amazing charity to help. I wish I could donate but I myself am a charity case right now =( BUT I did want to share that when I had my daughter, she was a pre-me and we had to go to a similar hospital in the states called The Ronald McDonald House. These places are so needed and appreciated by those who are in tough situations. Thank you Aden for bringing focus to places like this!!! 💕 💕
I wasn't in GOSH, but I was a preemie. There wasn't anything like this back in the day and it's clearly so needed for families to be able to support each other and their children. Thank you Aden. Donation made ❤
Thanks on behalf of all humans, You are exceptional. This charity is beautiful. The build is stun-ning! Thanks for inviting us to take part. Donation made, happily.
Hello darling 💜 GOSH is a cute abbreviation (: let’s raise some money! Accommodation is a real issue for families during such an already difficult time. Checked the description but there was no link for me to click o.o I love the way you integrated those pops of colour without it looking tacky. It looks like what you’d expect if this was made irl. Brilliant job 👌
I've had breast cancer myself and it was hard enough as an adult to go through so I can't imagine what it must be like for a child and their parents. I am also going to see my doctor as I've had a mark on leg that hasn't gone away. It's always a worry especially when you've already had it. Every time I go for my yearly mammogram the worst part isn't the procedure same with the biopsy when I had one of them but the waiting for the results. I have one coming up soon but I would rather go than not go. My heart goes out to anyone whose gone or going through it but children should not have to go through such an ordeal. It's unfair. They've lived no lives so fantastic charity and one we should wholeheartedly support for those who are able. McMillan were fantastic too when I was going through it. Couldn't wish for better support with both answering my questions and putting my mind at rest 👍
For 10 years, I worked with a similar cause here in the US. Everything you surmise about the families supporting one other is spot on. So very pleased my top 3 UK creators were involved in this. Will be popping off to donate once the video is over. Bless you for being involved, Aden.
Amazing!! Thanks for doing this. I volunteered in a Ronald MacDonald house last year and these types of accomodation make such a big difference in the families of sick kids. I found that the sibblings of the families often feel so overwhelmed, it really helps for them to come 'home' and live life somewhat 'normal', while their brothers or sisters battling for their lives. So this video made me very emotional. Again, thanks for doing this Aden ❤
Watching this sobbing while holding my 6 week old rainbow baby… sending love and light to any parents/children at this amazing hospital and anything you may be going through 🤍🤍 Aden you did a beautiful job yet again, thank you for taking your time to do this 🤍🤍
Cup of Yorkshire Tea at the ready...I have been waiting for the next but of content. Thankyou for all your effort and your creative design. You've also encouraged me and my best friend to do the Saints Way. My brother used GOSH as a child, he passed away not long ago. I'm actually tearing up seeing this intro. Thankyou xxx
loving how you notched out the corners, and added the corner windows! the look so good. this is such a nice build all around. looks modern, but still warm. also, having sims using the community spaces at the end was a really sweet touch. cheers!
Sorry I can't donate......I will watch all the ads and come back and watch the video several times. Your build is really perfect. I love the bright colors. I also love how you used the eco windows on the corner! Thanks for your big heart!❤
Life can truly be so cruel.. But it is people like you who make a difference. This should be a staple everywhere. This is absolutely gorgeous, the bright colors and the warm cozy feel. The accessibility being number one on your list, ugh you’re incredible. Thank you for being a gorgeous human being ❤️
Wow can’t believe I am earlyish sort out what an amazing one to do for GOSH you’re so creative they couldn’t of approached anyone else better to do this for them 🥰
My nephew spent a over 18 months in isolation and in the hospital getting treatment for Sickle cell anemia, and it was very stressful with a younger brother and both parents working full time. so this concept sounds absolutely amazing for families in this situation! Thank you Aden and GOSH for all you’ve done!❤️
Thank you for raising money for this charity! A good friend of mine and his family benefitted from the Ronald McDonald House (US version) when he was born, so these charities have a special place in my heart.
What a wonderful build for an even more wonderful cause! As someone who has seen many relatives go through the exhausting journey of receiving cancer treatment (all of them adults), I can only imagine how a parent would feel watching their child experience that, hence making this all the more excellent and considerate a project. ❤️🎗️
I wish I could donate! I love all your builds, but this one is especially great because of the cause. You are always so thoughtful with all your builds to make sure to be inclusive. I know I don't know you in "real life" but I just adore you! Thanks for all you do and for being authentic!
How thoughtful you are and so nice to do this for this wonderful cause. That saying "at least you have your health" has so much truth that no one should take for granted. I get emotional at the thought of all the suffering as well... I am sending positive healing mojo out into the world. Side note - can someone remind me what pack those tree baskets are from?
The black tree cages are from debug. If you go into debug, they are very near the beginning of debug, within the first 5-10 rows I think, if you don't have the BetterBuild/Buy Mod.
