Federal architecture was popular immediately after the American revolution until about the 1830s or so, which would coincide with the reigns of King George III through William IV -- which I would presume is when Georgian style homes were being built in Britain. Would love to see more in this style. If you need a street to gather inspiration, look up Elfreth's Alley in Philadelphia. All of the homes on the Alley were built between 1703 and 1836. Gorgeous example of many Federal townhouses all in a row.
I miss it when you would look through the catalog and we’d be able to see you figure out what would look for a room and what you want to put in instead of already having them ready on the side and you just placing them back where they belong.
Me too! I’ve meaning to comment on this for a while now. To me it was fun and interesting to see the thought process behind. Wether it was quick or it took longer to figure out. This new way it kind of feels more like solving a puzzle (as in putting pieces back together), if that makes sense. I figure this might save time and take off pressure from the building process, but I do miss those bits.
Me too. I’ve been meaning to comment the same thing. Feels too planned when it’s all chosen and just placed in the room. I’d prefer longer videos choosing it in real time!!
@@esabola honestly me too. I’ve been wanting to comment it for a while but I didn’t know if it would come across the wrong way to viewers and to Devon himself. It felt more engaging when we looked at the things together. Like we were apart of the build with him. I mean this respectfully but I don’t like the new style of having items at the side ready to be put back into the room. It feels a little rushed for me and not as authentic but, regardless of his decisions with video style and editing I will always be an avid fan and will continue to watch his videos.
Would love to see Aden recreate the Australian Federation style, Melbourne is particularly known for them with their curved tin roofs, large ornate verandas, and stained glass windows.
Love this!!! YES! I vote for a bigger one, but also for a second or even third if they fit in this lot like you're doing with the Del Sol Valley & the detective ones in Henford. One of my favorite things to build in the sims is multi-lots and I bet 2-3 federal tiny houses like these would look lovely in that same lot. I hope you like the idea, if not, I'm waiting for the ones you're already doing and again, voting for a bigger one. So cute!
I love colonial/federal architecture so much! I live near Philly, so I always enjoy strolling down the original cobblestone streets and looking at the buildings. The red doors and the symmetric windows always make my brian happy in the best way possible!
I don't know anything about this style, but I love it! I'd definitely like to see a bigger version, or maybe even turning this into a full row of townhouses x
You have no idea what you and your videos mean to people! Absolutely adore your soul sir 💙 Both times in my times of need your videos have brought me peace! I lost my sweet beautiful Pancakes of 14 years back in October of last year. And today I just lost my sweet puppy boy Noel to Parvo, we were days away from his vaccinations... Thank you for existing sir and sharing yourself with the world! You help a lot of people without realizing it! 💙🤍💙
Love this build, it feels so cozy and realistic! Also, I like the lack of an inside dining space. Makes me want to enjoy my meal on the couch by the fire!
Aden, you did so well building and furnishing a quintessential British-American style home! The Federalist style came after the Revolutionary War and is basically an extension of the Georgian style but a little more "Americanized" with slightly more simplistic understated designs. You say you have no knowledge of "American" style architecture, except from what you see in movies or pictures of exterior elements but you even got the interiors pretty accurate! I'm no expert of American architecture and design but I am an amateur historian (going to university for a history degree) and have some relative knowledge of the American Colonial, Revolutionary, and Post-Colonial periods. Plus, I've toured some older homes in Virginia which has a lot of and Colonial and Federal architecture. Fun fact: The White House is actually built in the Federalist style!
I like you decoding what fits in the room on camera, but it's a nice touch when you cut that out. Moral of the story; it's an enjoyable watch experience no matter which style you edit in 😊
@@ShadoeLandman My understanding is that it is just a form of Georgian that was given the name Federal by American architects who didn't want to use the name of the King they just got rid of.
This house is just the cuttest! The exterior is just charming and the floorplan is flawless! I'll copy it for future buildings. I'd love to see what would you do with this house if you inherited it from some distant relatives in the US, like a little bit of a dreamhouse with some custom content you love! Anyhow, it was truly great. Thanks for all your hard word!
I would love to see what you'd do with a bigger version. If you ever build Newcrest (again), seeing it in this vibe, think Georgetown, would be really cool!
Hi from South Africa! Thank for your videos !! your videos and funny jokes really made me feel better These last couple of days while my 4year old was in hospital:) thank you for being you 😎
The tiny house looks so good! I'd love to see a bigger house in this style. I didn't have the best of days, and just seeing your video makes me feel a little better. Thank you and see you tomorrow!
If you decide to not do the bigger build, I will just knock out some walls to make rooms and pile them next to each other. But if you want to save us the trouble that would be great.😊
Yes I would love a bigger version of this please and thankyou x

We're neghbors!
I adore Alphreth's Alley and Society Hill, and the sadly deteriorating Germantown architecture.
I don't know anything about this style, but I love it! I'd definitely like to see a bigger version, or maybe even turning this into a full row of townhouses x
Just woke up my baby, laughing as he says "you're just going to have to let your Sims burn to death... CUTE! "

How serendipitous I was just rewatching your hiking video and now another video from the lovely high Lord Gay Grills💚
Ooo serendipitous is a new word I just saw! What does it mean?
Gay Grills 💀💀💀

I grew up in the big house version of this! I love what you did in the tiny bath upstairs. It's so simple and sweet.
Federal is urban 18th century style in America - so, yes, Georgian.
But it doesn't have Georgian windows.
@@ShadoeLandman My understanding is that it is just a form of Georgian that was given the name Federal by American architects who didn't want to use the name of the King they just got rid of.
I flippin love that lot in windenberg. I use the tool mod to move items onto that green patch at the back 😌👌

I’d love to see rows of these 😍
In the US we call these type of houses "Colonial" one of my favorite styles. Yes would love a larger home!
I just got my first pair of glasses this past weekend and one of the frames I chose look exactly like yours. Twins haha 🤭
you should build a row of them with custom content!
I would love to see what you'd do with a bigger version. If you ever build Newcrest (again), seeing it in this vibe, think Georgetown, would be really cool!
Reminds me a bit of the home alone house ❤
Beautiful tiny house. Loved that glitched face at 11:19! 😅
I vote yes for a bigger version in this style! Love your builds!
You mentioned thinking of doing some sort eatery in a future. I would love to see your build!
Love love tiny homes, many thanks. Always love your builds 👌
The bigger one is great for Anna and her family also with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms a basement for the family game/hangout area plus laundry
Love your builds. It always looks great and realistic.
Hi from South Africa!
Thank for your videos !! your videos and funny jokes really made me feel better These last couple of days while my 4year old was in hospital:) thank you for being you 😎
Hello from France! 🙂

I'd love to see a bigger version & also a row of the small ones 🥰
So cute, and looking so liveable. Yes to a bigger version too. x

Yes please! Please build a big yin! Xx
The tiny house looks so good! I'd love to see a bigger house in this style. I didn't have the best of days, and just seeing your video makes me feel a little better. Thank you and see you tomorrow!
It's adorable. I would love to see a bigger version, but not necessarily huge. (I'm selfish. I prefer to play in smaller homes.)
Maybe sounds weird but you really remind me of that actor who plays iron man I don’t know why
Why do I keep reading the title as Tiny Feral Townhouse 😂
😱💫🏚️
Oh noes! The feral house is attacking!
Thank you for sharing.
May God continue to bless you 💕🙏🏾
If you decide to not do the bigger build, I will just knock out some walls to make rooms and pile them next to each other. But if you want to save us the trouble that would be great.😊
Love!!
Hiiiiiii!!! Happy Thursday!!
Cute!
You can just hide the smoke detector behind something, like a wall cabinet or the fridge.
What about big colonial style mansion from the American South? (Gone with the Wind vibe)
You mean a plantation 😒
Is this one going on the gallery?
I hate that lot because of the camera bounce 😂
I winder if you would ever want to have memberships on the channel?
How do i watch tho videos off you
Bigger Feder
❤
Doesn't that look like Georgian house?
