For example, you went archer class, which has a perk where you sometimes gain regen and speed on bow hit, but it's random. Other classes have different abilities. Tip 3: While fighting, you should sometimes check on TAB, and see how low your opponent is, it's crucial to know if you're winning or losing the fight. Tip 4: Just have fun with it, there are a lot of sweaty/toxic players, you just need to ignore them. Just try your best to have fun while playing Hoplite!

My first time included 0 kills, no help learning the game, a mental breakdown cause I failed making a portal, dying every game within 2 minutes of PVP being turned on, and absolute terrible luck with ores. and to think I waited in a void to play on this server cause the queue server doesn't know how to teleport you back to the surface after you fall...
it seems like you're not ready for hoplite yet assuming you haven't improved, flowtives has a great guide for this server, and speedrunning nether portals is basically a necessity, and there's nothing to do about ores, same happens to me. However, none of those are as frustrating as players, everyone already knows the ins and outs of hoplite and is much better than pvp at me so it's just not fun.
