I just picked up a left over 2023 R model here in the USA. The Torque is Delicious. The Earth 🌎 actually slows down a microsecond in the opposite Direction when this Bike gets a good take off. The looks, and questions I get from the surrounding admirers, I should charge people just to look at it, Love this Bike, Very timely video, Bravo 👏 👍
I rode a modified older model Rocket 3 with 260 rwhp at Bonneville Speed Week 2023 and unfortunately it spit me off after the 3rd run. In 2024 I'll running a nearly stock new model 2021 Rocket 3 hopefully with better results.
Loved mine, had it 18 months and put 9000 miles on it, could ride with such a broad range of bikes, the weight in the end became a nuisance but such a great riding bike 😎 🚀 🏴 party trick for me was going 50kmph to 100kmph+ in fourth and nothing could hang with the instant thrust and would only catch by dropping gears and catching the Rocket at the top end, Diavel felt limp by comparison, quick shifter essential for the short redline, loved the twisties, great brakes but you had to respect the weight
Loved everything about this worship but re-look at the Moto Guzzi California, and tell us that is it not sex on wheels? Riding it and looking down at the tank reminds one of the human female form, undressed even!
Don‘t. This machine requires a certain amount of physical strength. From that perspective it makes total sense that the Rocket does not have a reverse gear.
@@thomasgessner I am 1.85 and 90 kg with very little fat. I am strong enough. The rather obvious point I was making pertained to situations where, maybe due to an error of judgment on the rider's part, he has parked the bike front wheel to the kerb down the slight camber. A reverse gear would be sensible for situations like this. I remember taking a Rocket lll Roadster out for the afternoon in Essex. A lot heavier than the current bike, but easy to lift of the side stand due to the mass being so low. It could still have done with a reverse gear, though.
I was bonkers when I bought my Triple Black GT model and I'm even more bonkers now after owning it for over a year. I had the quick shifter fitted at its 1500 mile service and that makes it and me even more bonkers. I own three other bikes one of which is even more bonkers, the Kawasaki ZZR 1400/ZX14. The Rocket beats it for low down grunt but the ZZR takes off where the Rocket stops.
The Triumph Rocket 3 R is stupid, yes. I always say it's wicked that it exists, and that it's wonderful that it does. It spoiled all other motorcycles for me, as much, as I've sold my RN65 Yammi R1 to own the glorious Rocket. People need space, and money, to afford their stupid motorcycle choices! Nothing puts a better smile on my face than when going to work early mornings on my big, fat, STOOOPID bike!!! It's wonderful, and glorious, and if you have the opportunity, go and do a testride on it! I've found some of the best mates of my life while riding my Rocket!
I have the GT version for 2 years now and im so happy i bought it , that torque is amazing such a beast of a motorcycle very nimble for it size and man does i made alot of friend riding this bike people come to me and ask question about the Rocket they all ask if its a 6 cylinders and i respond no its a 3 cyclinders with brute force just love my bike its a keeper for sure , me who change motorcycle every 5 years not this one.
I think that the spec and detailing on the GT is better. Also, the reach to the nars is more comfortable. I know that it's relatively common to buy the GT, then fit the R footpegs.
I have had my TFC variant for just over 4 years now. I love every inch of it. I very much doubt there will ever be a better motorcycle ever built! It is a masterpiece, and yes, I love it too!

There is absolutely no good reason for this motorcycle to exist - but I'm sure glad that it does!

A lady I work with’s husband got one of these for his first bike two years ago. He’s still alive somehow.

If they ever make another Judge Dredd movie or TV series, they must use that bike as the Lawmaster.

If it had a reverse gear, I'd consider one. Nick

Doesnt need a reverse its low to the ground got mine for 2 years now and its not a problem at all.
I’m 60 yrs old, weigh 76kg and I can handle it! Don’t be a wuss!
The Rockets are also fine for touring, I can back that up with having 86,000 miles on my 2020 GT.
