So many people rank samus and ds low on tier lists cause it actually takes effort to bring her full potential out. Shes an interesting combination of zoner and combo play and it takes a lot of precise movement and timing to play her properly
Probably because a lot of other characters are better? That’s doesn’t make Samus bad just because she’s not regarded as top tier. I don’t think there’s as much of a gap between High, Mid and low tier in this game compared to others.
Lightly (and fast) tap the shield button. You can also jump right before you land to cancel it, press shield harder once you’re on the floor to cancel into shield, or press jump out of it on the ground or air to cancel into a jump
