Definitely needs some TLC but these houses back in the 40s and the 1950s were some of the prettiest on the block! It even has the old aluminum screen door back from the early 50s which I absolutely love!
I love this style of older homes. The house looks like it has good structure. You would have a lot to work with for 10K. If you are handy with a hammer, this house is a steal! The squirrels would be a bonus. thanks Lamont
There's a lot of houses that have that shape and made out of brick here in South bend Indiana. Along Lincoln Way which is the Lincoln highway many have been neglected many have been abused many have been torn down but they're still quite a few I think those are like the step up from the average worker house in the 20s and 30s. That's what I've always thought but yeah those are nice. A brick home is not the best for insulation but it is very solid and you can insulate it additionally.
Definitely has potential and in a very nice area. Whatever you spend to buy it is worth it. Of course you’d have to spend a lot to fix it up (and hoping there’s no mold!) but it would be worth it. I would ask the neighbors. They can give you the skinny on it. I would offer 5k and see what they say.
Hi GoGo how ya doin girl?? Hi Wendy. Hope y'all are doin well today. I'm just sittin here in Maryland looking out at the crappy weather we're having today. lol Cloudy, drizzly and now under a "high wind warning". Jeez. Well at least it's not cold yet. I'll enjoy that for as long as I can. lol I HATE being cold, but I love the snow, it's so beautiful, but just to look at, not to drive in. lol👋💐🙂❄✌😎
Yeah we have by this home for a dollar here in town you know do you on one hand sadly do you want to live in that neighborhood when I first got married my wife and I bought a home and we were the last year of high school. Naive we bought a home in the neighborhood for $10,000 bucks that was 1977 we got broken into once a year regularly after 5 years we got tired of that and we moved to a small town there's still problems anywhere but somewhere some places there's lots of problems. And I had enough of that when I was younger
I live in Illinois. There are many beautiful looking homes in my city. You'd probably love it. But people have unfortunately changed the interior of many homes. I've seen carpet; designed flooring; bathroom sinks; everything in the alleys for years. I thought about it and I think when Lowe's and Home Depot opened stores...people went there and changed insides of houses because they could buy the supplies. I don't know though.
All the wood around the windows, steps, soffit, etc. probably was rotted and needed replaces. The roof more than likely leaks and is in need of repair or replacement. It's a mess.
Wow I buy houses and turn them into airbnb's I can't believe this house sold for 10K this is a nice house.. the old fashioned brick homes are the best homes....😊
Yes, needs a lot of work. Check the basement and attic. Leaky roof, damaged walls, cracks in the foundation... Don't fall for the pretty stuff, look for what is costly. Where does the water land? Is you house on the hill on the bottom of the hill where water pools? Is it on a flood plane? A garage would be nice. You would have to check about zoning for a fence. You can't just put up a fence as you want. I think you are in a middle class area. Taxes are very high in Illinois. Indiana is better. I lived in both Illinois and Indiana. My family are from Chicago and all left because of the taxes. One lives on the border of Indiana and Illinois.
B. Harley Bradley House (Frank Lloyd Wright), 701 S Harrison Ave. Once was the Yesteryear restaurant. They give tours (open Thursday, Saturday & Sunday.)
The new owner will be doing a lot of porch sweeping with all the leaves that are attracted to it. Is the low price because someone may have been killed there??
Knowing it’s Made out oF Brick! That’s how you know it’s old, Dudes trying to get in there Like he already owns it or something, 😏 I Like how he says sold For 10k But yet also Mentioned that same amount earlier in the video. Coincidence ? I don’t think so!
I have a story you might be interested in covering that took place in champaign Illinois. the brutal mvrder of a Chinese international female student done by a complete psychopath.
Next time u go there can u do the story of Christopher Meyer it’s a case of a murdered young boy killed by a man convicted of a similar crime prior to killing Christopher in Kankakee
The house sold for 10k
Kankakee was ruined by the chicago riff raff a LONG time ago. Illinazi is a shithole now thanks to the corruption.
Looks like an apartment. It has 2 front doors and 2 mailboxes.🤷
Before even clicking that was going to be my max lol.
WOW 10K , I would have so much fun updating this home ❤

It looks like it's a good haunted house! I love squirrels, so we would get along just fine😊.
Some random black guy checking door knobs and digging through the mailbox. What could go wrong?
?????
Probably talking about Lamont
Bought a house in Alabama for 5000 needed work but it's fixed up now. There out there just have to look.
I love this style of older homes. The house looks like it has good structure. You would have a lot to work with for 10K. If you are handy with a hammer, this house is a steal! The squirrels would be a bonus. thanks Lamont
They are lucky that no one is squatting in that house ‼️
Stay safe out there, and rock on, Lamont! 💜✌
Oh my God you are the funniest! You go through the mailbox find coupons and then you proceed to knock the lid off the mailbox ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️

Buying an Illinois house and fixing it up will only jack up already insane property taxes. Stay away.
Kankakee was becoming a ghetto 36 years ago I hope things improved

NICE BRICK HOUSE. couldn’t tell what condition the roof is … hope you get back to us with MORE details !
Only $10,000? That’s a bargain, but I heard they want people to pay the back taxes if it’s been empty for so long, how is that fair?
Thats a thought.

Susan Smith was denied parole..
YESSS 🎉
She should have gotten the Death Penalty. Those poor little boys.
Well, duh.
Yes, sadly David has to go through this again in 2 years
I say release her on parole the day the boys walk out of their graves and live their lives.
Kankakeean, IL Governor George Ryan, jailed in 2007, convicted of federal corruption charges. Released in 2013.
I like old homes like these. I am sure it definitely needs an upgrade.
Nobody moves to my home state. Property taxes are unreal.
$20 and a carton of Newports 🚬

Hello Lamont, I grew up near by- no jobs.
Didn’t you watch that Minnesota finest movie grumpy old man going through Mail as a federal offense😂😂😂
Kankakee is a shit hole. I wouldn’t take that house if they paid me $10,000

Allot of work for that house. I'll bet the inside is a disaster.
Kankakee is one of the worst towns in Illinois. It’s best to avoid the town entirely, especially at night.
All I could think about is king Von when i watched this.
That's the only reason why I heard of this please LOL
60 miles outside of Chicago
Wouldn’t buy a house in Illinois, insane high taxes
That's a good-sized lot.
Any extra charge for the bodies buried in the cellar Unc 🤔

Perhaps in between your regular videos you could do EXPLORES in abandoned houses …. Hopefully do some RESEARCH on them b4 you bring them to us
Lamont, bro, you couldn’t pay me to live in Illinoise! That house is tight tho. Move it out to Amish Country and I’ll buy TF out of it!

Hey L, it needs lots of love but not a bad looking place! I live about 20 mins North of Kankakee.
It's a good thing Mobile Instinct wasn't with you. As much as he liked that goat meat, them squirrels don't have a chance :) . God Bless

It sold
Naw i pass...gotta feeling that house has seen and been thru alot..maybe a murder or 2
I wont live in Blue areas
They would want atleast 6 hundred thousand for that in Australia possibly more.
You should have bought it yourself as a homebase 👍®️
That porch reminds me of the porch where Tony Soprano
killed Tony Blundetto
Beautiful home, just needs a little fixing up. I love the brick ❤
Ya and with taxes here after fixing up is sky high and house value low. Highly crooked county in every way.
That's real brick not brick paneling.
It is a cool old house and a bargain for $10k … but not a part of the country I would be interested in living.
