    Hello sir, a news article stated,
    “The CERB provides a taxable benefit payable to eligible individuals, to be paid once per four-week period, up to a maximum of 16 weeks in the period between March 15, 2020, and October 3, 2020.”
    Does this mean there will be 7, “4-week periods” ?

    • @YouCounsel
      @YouCounsel  4 года назад

      If you are eligible for CERB from March 15 to October 2, you will only receive 4 payments, not 7 more more payments for the entire duration.

    • @YouCounsel
      @YouCounsel  4 года назад

      The guidelines are unclear whether you can receive CERB in addition to OAS/CPP. Since OAS/CPP is not "employment" income, I believe receive these should not bar you from receiving CERB. But you will have to contact CRA to be certain. Please let us know if you are able to clarify this. Thank you.

    Blessed be His name, He has not dealt with us after our sins; but now He treats with us on terms of free grace and infinite compassion, and He says, "I will receive you graciously, and love you freely." Believe it, for it is certainly true that the great God is able to treat the guilty with abundant mercy; yea, He is able to treat the ungodly as if they had been always godly. Read carefully the parable of the prodigal son, and see how the forgiving father received the returning wanderer with as much love as if he had never gone away, and had never defiled himself with harlots. So far did he carry this that the elder brother began to grumble at it; but the father never withdrew his love. Oh my brother, however guilty you may be, if you will only come back to your God and Father, He will treat you as if you had never done wrong! He will regard you as just, and deal with you accordingly. Jesus is the Saviour, Messiah, the way, the truth, the life, the one who will come to judge this world. The only begotten son of God.

    I have my sin, phone no. And I have enrolled for direct deposit for CRA
    .
    2. I have applied for Quebec 573 per week which is still in process due to some issue with my name, will I be able to avail both federal and Quebec employment benefits ? Or if I apply for cerb nowthe Quebec temporary benefits won't be given to me ?
    3. Lastly it says one has to have minimum income of atleast 5000$ to qualify, within 12 months going back from the day I apply. But let's say I apply by registering thru CRA it's asks for self declaration amount of 2018 not 2019 ( if it's less than 5000$ then what ?)
    Please answer these 3 points thank u so much

    • @YouCounsel
      @YouCounsel  4 года назад

      1. self declaration applies to both online and phone application.
      2. I believe you will receive CERB first (and once that runs out and you will receive Quebec employment benefits), but i am not certain how Quebec employment benefits interact with CERB.
      3. there is no requirement for 2018 income. It's either 2019 income or the last 12 months.

Question: For those who are self-employed, let’s say u were previously earning $10k a month on avg, and now because of Covid-19 you are only able to earn $1000, so a 90% drop in income. Is it accurate that one would not be eligible for the CERB because you still have an income, even if it’s a fraction to what you were previously earning? This makes no sense. Particularly since the govt is giving a 75% wage subsidy up to $847 a week to employed people at eligible affected businesses.

      I don't know, you should contact their tech support or apply for CERB online.

      No. if you applied for EI on March 15 or later, the application will be processed for CERB automatically.

    Thanks for organize all the information. I have a question about my situation I don't know if you can clear out for me and it would be so much appreciated.
    So I'm working in the mall, which they officially announced to closed them so due to that I can't work. I off the work March 20, and the work I did until that time I get the pay April 3rd.
    Is this mean I have to apply after 4 weeks from March 20th? or am I still ok to apply April 6th once they open? Until mall closed I can't work, no income 😭

      Your eligibility period begins March 21. If you meet all the other requirements, you should apply on April 6 (or another day based on your birth month) when CERB applications open. I have just posted an updated video on eligibility, please check that out if you have more questions.
